Here it comes, television's most exciting hour of fantastic prizes the fabulous sixty-minute Price is Right!

We are showcasing episodes not viewed in decades. Starting from Season 11 (1982), this is the first season when animal furs were no longer offered as prizes, supporting Bob’s advocacy of animal rights in memory of his wife Dorothy Jo.

I could watch these old TPIR videos all day, Drew does an amazing job but Bob was just magic, he made this show so special. Thanks for giving us 35 years 💜
Drew does a shyt job actually. But its not his fault. It’s Fremantle’s fault for hiring that buffoon in the first place. Ever since Bob retired, the show has been complete garbage. At least we still have the Golden Era of TPIR forever on youtube. When Bob was the star, each episode was an “EVENT”. With each episode of Drew as the ‘’host’’, every episode, I change the channel
You can. There's a Pluto TV channel that plays these nonstop.
Lauren Jean-The Price Is Right should have been canceled as soon as Barker retired, because it's not the same with Drew Carey as host.
@Kevin Miller it would suck if they canceled it all together, I absolutely love that show...but totally agree that it's just not the same without Bob barker 😭
@@kevinmiller6380 I wouldn't want to see it canceled. But I do agree that Bob Barker was and is irreplaceable.
"He even kept the pen, he got everything!" 🤣🤣🤣
He knew, unlike most contestants, what he was doing.
"He was saved by zero." Cough cough.
Ten Chances, along with the Clock Game are two of the easiest games to beat on TPIR (IF you have a brain in your head)!!
Have you played a pricing game while on stage, under the lights, in front of television cameras and a studio audience, for the viewing pleasure of millions at home?
I feel like this is solely referring to Joy lol
Yea on ten chances every price ends with a zero@@trevorbayers2175
When he won, all I could say was, "Okay, Toni Basil, sing his name please!"
Oh Mickey, you're so fine
You're so fine
You blow my mind
Hey, Mickey!
Hey, Mickey!
I know, right
Bob was/is just magical. A consummate MC.
Unfortunately it's now was.
Robert William Barker 1923-2023
Best playing of "Ten Chances" I've ever seen
Yep 👍🏻!
Ohhh I love Bob Baker. I've been watching this since I was 2 back in '75'
"He even took the pen; he got everything", lmao!!!
Perfection! He deserves to keep the pen! 😁
He might've given it back during the commercial.
I bet he still has it as a keepsake.
And it should be autographed by Bob Barker.
As a result of keeping the pen, he was disqualified and lost all of the prizes. 😂
Why do these videos make me tear up? It's like nostalgia for an era I didn't get to live in.
I did what a time it was!
Loved how Roger peaked at the camera AND DUCKED
That was perfect playing of 10 Chances.
On the March 23, 1984, episode of THE PRICE IS RIGHT ▶️, of course, Silvia.
I'd like to quote the awesome Emeril Lagasse to summarize this playing of 10C: "BAM!" :D
The only time people ever got excited about a Ford Escort and it was caught on film very rare moment.
And standard AM radio. Nice. I would have thought FM/AM would have been standard by that time.
Great quality! Thanks for the upload!!!
I did that a few times. Unfortunately, I was in my living room every time.
Now I think when they had the $1 million spectacular specials, if a contestant played a perfect game of 10 chances, they would be awarded $1 million.
From the March 23, 1984, episode of THE PRICE IS RIGHT 👉🏻, which featured sub-Barker's Beauty 💅🏼 Andi Rapagna (née Anna Maria Rapagna) from Montreal, still filling in for regular Barker's Beauty 💅🏼 Holly Hallstrom.
Andie participated in a Barker’s Beauties chat on the March 26 episode where Bob introduced her to the audience.
@@heidimountain606 Yep 👍🏻!
@@heidimountain606 Was she the Hollywood actress Andie MacDowell because she does not really look like her?
@@silvialogan9226 But she resembles Ana Alicia (FALCON CREST), however.
@@silvialogan9226 Well, sub-Barker's Beauty 💅🏼 Andi Rapagna (née Anna Maria Rapagna) from Montreal really DOES resemble Ana Alicia (FALCON CREST)!
Probably the easiest game on the Price is Right if you play every combination ending in zero. You are almost guaranteed a win.
It grinds my gears when dum contestants write, for example, from numbers like:5870: 5078, 5087, just wasting chances!! Ugh 😭
He even kept the pen!
@K.D.P. Ross On the March 23, 1984, episode of THE PRICE IS RIGHT ▶️, of course.
In the beginning of that video, they need a name, not a number, an audience member number TBE that we wore before they started to warm up the studio and started to turn on camera for the opening, they always doing that for 50 straight years in TPIR TV history.
The best part of the clip is Roger at 3:55 😁
I love this game but HATE the way most people play it. I scream the whole time "the last number is ZERO!" It's nice to see a guy play it right and make it easy.
That is true although I’ve seen exceptions on the first prize, but it’s not often
They should just have made every prize a new car. haha
A historic moment before Bob referred to them as historic moments
Impressive! I think this is the first ever "legitimate" perfect playing of the game after the "technical" one from February 23, 1983 that was caused by an error, the price was accidentally revealed while she didn't get it right.
You've got it, Mark 📌!
Don't forget November 1, 2000, when the regular man was out while his wife was having a baby, and someone else set up the game and did it wrong, to the benefit of Daniel, the contestant!

@@jamesmcclelland1414 This is why Roger ducks his head when asked by Bob. He knew it wasn’t technically the first time but didn’t want to spoil the fun.
@@SyncopateTheShot Yes ☑️, that's true.
@@jamesmcclelland1414 Who's the model who was showing off the car?

A Perfect 10 Chances Win!
Good job Mickey!!
If he makes it to December 12th, Bob will be 100 years old!!!
The episodes of The Price Is Right, The Barker Era, is a hell of a lot better than the Drew Carey episodes-I could never get tired of these.

Was there ever a *perfect* game play on _3 Strikes_ ("Perfect" meaning NO wrong guesses and NO strikes)?
Here's one from '82:

It was big back then when you had an AM radio in your car.
Mickey wore # 7 in little league ⚾️ 🧢 as a tribute to his idol Mickey Mantle !!
MY FAVORITE PRICING GAME.
The car looks used....😁
How many ten chances perfections since 1984? We know that it happened twice on the Doug Davidson era. Are there any ten chances perfections on nighttime with Dennis James and Tom Kennedy or primetime versions with Bob Barker and drew carey?
Nobody cares about the Drew Carey era. The show should have been canceled when Bob retired, because the show certainly died at that time.
@@trevorbayers2175 Well, maybe Drew ➰ Carey (née Drew ➰ Allison Carey) should wear three-piece suits and occasionally wear an ascot and a sport 🏈 coat 🧥 or a blazer more often on THE PRICE IS RIGHT 👉🏻.
@@jamesmcclelland1414 what an idiotic comment. Thanks for wasting 5 seconds of my life with it.
Mickey will be driving home in his .. New Car 🚗 !!
OAD: March 23, 1984, 1 week away from Holly's return.
Yep 👍🏻!
At 020 seconds Bob is talking about 420. I'll think I'll go for some 420 BOB lol.
Every time I hear about the Ford Escort, I think about when I was in college at CSUN. A student volunteer comes to my night class, and makes an announcement to the class if you feel uncomfortable walking back to your car during the night, call the Escort Service and they'll accompany you. Another student in the class, who I think was from Japan, missed something in the translation. She mentions she drives a Ford Escort and it's good to know the college offers "Escort service." Yep. They install new tires and brakes, and have the car ready before classes end. I still laugh about that.
When I hear Ford escort I think back to our blue in and out 85 and 1/2 model year that survived an odometer flip, my sister failing to get it's oil changed and once being our only work vehicle. Yes we drove it for about 9 years.
Forgot it also survived a front end collision where the grill came off(snapped right back on) and the front headlight needing repair.
That's hilarious 😂
@@wendyokoopa7048 late '80s vehicles to the mid-90s vehicles are hands down the best vehicles still today

They say the motor is still knocking in the Escort.
How many times has this happened with 10 Chances?
Mickey did not want to break the camera. Likely gave the pen back during commerical.
Just saw a video of Drew Cary saying the numbers always end in a zero.
I wonder if he still has the car?
Niiiiiiiice!
RIP Johnny and Bob
They just had another one today, April 19 2023!
4:15 - actually, at that point, it was just less than nine years. Ten Chances debuted in the summer of 1975 (July?) just months before going a full hour-long.
Yep, July 15, 1975.
Nothing more fun than when a contestant knows how to play Ten Chances ... and othing ore infuriating than when they don't.
Bob's medicine worked.
When America was still American and we had a community and felt at home among strangers. early 1600s to 1990s... RIP
And I wasn't even born yet.
Bob and Mickey saw Dr. Feelgood on the way to the studio
He should play the lottery. He would win.
Boss mode
Someone just did that for the first time since Drew took over recently.
Whenever 10 chances was played and the first two prizes were revealed with the musical cue, if the contestant wasn't ecstatic, they didn't watch the show that much. Because any "friend in true" would know that it's 10 chances by then. This was true for most contestants.
Kept the pen? For setting that record Bob should have thrown in an extra $100!
I really hope Mickey and Carene are still happily married. (I'm assuming the woman cheering for him in the end is his wife)
$60 for the scale
$950 for a desk
$6,850 for a car
