Great to see Roadblasters. Genesis is still one of the most playable versions at home because the aiming works well- necessary to drive up the multiplier for fuel. Some of the games you mentioned were complete remixes from the arcade though. But overall I really enjoyed this video.
Yes, Roadblasters is an unbelievable arcade conversion, shows that the Sega Megadrive/Genesis really was a massive step up for the 90s. I wish they’d done better with Turbo Outrun, ChaseHQ and handful of other games. Thanks for watching ☺️ if you liked this video, I’d be really grateful if you shared it 👍
I was born in '88 so I don't remember the '80s arcade games outside of some Pac-Man machines that were ubiquitous for decades but Genesis was my first system as a kid. Looking at it now the games that were using Sprite scaling technology in the arcade Don't hold up that great on the Genesis in my opinion but golden axe ghouls n ghosts and strider are still really good. Toaplan also ported a lot of their arcade games to the system and they're all good like Snow Bros, Grindstormer and Zero Wing. Alien Storm looks cool I'll have to try it on my flashcart
Wow! What a console to start out gaming on. I had to rough it with the 8bits for a while before reaching the upper echelons of 16bit Sega gaming. You don’t know you’re born in gaming terms 😉🤣👍🏻
The Mega Drive had some incredible arcade ports and it was great to see the likes of Midnight Resistance, Strider and Road Blasters on the list. Two Crude Dudes and Double Dragon would definitely be in my top 20. The only game I really couldn't stand on this list was Sunset Riders! Not the worst arcade port but it was just so disappointing, especially when compared to the SNES version. Fantastic video, looking forward to checking out more.
I loved my N64, but I seemed to like games that weren’t popular with the crowd, so it could go badly. What’re some of the games you recommend, I might have missed them? I’ve played and completed all of the N64 titles on the Switch online store and still have my original console retro goodness.
I think we’d be on our own with that one, it’s a bit like marmite. We like, most don’t. The arcade version predates Mortal Kombat and I really liked it, played it at every opportunity. Thanks for leaving a comment though. If you liked this video, please share ☺️
The SNES "Ghouls 'n Ghost" game you're talking is a complete different/original game not an home conversion of the arcade classic know as "Dai Makeimura". Genesis has the best conversion for console that had worldwide distribution. "Japan only" SuperGrafx and Sharp X68000 got better ports.
This probably sounds daft, but back in the day I didn’t really notice until people started pointing things out to me. The first real time I realised it was a major problem was when I played Sega Rally 2 in the arcade and then the same week played Sega Rally 2 on the DC. I couldn’t believe the difference

@@ClassicReplay Underrated channel for sure!
Fantastic lineup. Great job.
Thank you 😊
Great job!
Cheers mate, you’d be doing me a huge favour if you could share ☺️
Namco also had great arcade ports on Megadrive, Burning Force and Marvel Land to name a few.
I’ve not played those, thanks for letting me know 👍
Mercs is sooo great and ... rich in possibilities with the "mode original".

This video didn’t go down well. Thanks for taking the time to watch and if you don’t mind, please share with other SEGA fans 👍🏻
Two Crude Dudes is a great game.

Add pit fighter to the list. Not the best game but home conversion was A+

Shadowdancer on the genesis beats the arcade, the ambiance and grit is all shinobi.
I’ll be sure to check and compare 😉

I think virtual racing only ran at about 15-20 FPS.
