I like the idea of upgrading to a short throw shifter with a taller shifter. That way i can get a taller shifter without making the throw longer, if that makes sense.

Totally understand you, I need longer shifter because of that arm rest so I don't have to bend my wrist down and also I want shorter throw because I don't wanna punch the radio 😄

I know its late but something no one talks about with the pmc is the thread on the shift knob, is M20, there are no shift knob with M20, most are M18, wanted the mishimoto carbon shift knob but that too is only m18, anyone let me know if you find a m20 shift knob

M42 engines are great, super strong. Think the standard 2 piece intake manifold with the disa flap might cause some issues under high boost, but it wouldn't be too hard to make a custom intake plenum.
I have ITBs on mine, but when I need more power, turbo will be the way!

Terrible shifter especially if you have a sloppy transmission/gear-shifter to begin with, you will feel the slop amplify with the pmc style shifters since it rests and relies solely on those worn detents 🤷🏼‍♂️

Please tell the the 36 is going to be a turbo K series, I’m trying to put together a build for one but the oil pan has me so lost. Not trying do a dry sump or modify the subframe to do it.

Maybe look at the subframe boostedboiz just used for the k swap in the miata build they just did. Kyle also said that oil pan is something he wish he could of used in the s14 as well so its a pan that would work well with the rwd miata and rwd s14 name work for rwd e36?
