Watching this after alonso is out of the race 😭
Me too😢😢😢
Same Here😵
I'd ignore the Alonso stories, essentially just a Bayern Munich smokescreen.
Amorim does look a great candidate though, and could well be a perfect fit.
Me too
You guys are naive, there’s no chance xabi will come to us in the first place
Lets not forget klopp isn't the only one leaving backroom in summer. If Amorim really the choice, he will need full support and proper assistant
Well yeah, managers bring in their own assistants?
Also have you not seen the news literally everywhere about Hughes and Edwards?
Won't happen. We has Klopp out 'fans'
Liverpool, FSG and Edwards are obviously incredibly influenced by data. Their whole approach to the game is a data driven one. The underlying stats say Amorim is the best fit, him and Alonso are the clear outliers among young managers right now - and Amorim fits Liverpool's aggressive, pressing style much more. Alonso's approach would likely require us to sell a few big players who don't really fit - and buy some big players who do. Amorim could work with what we have
Annoying because I am desperate to see Alonso back here, but FSG trust data more than emotion - probably a good thing
Yes and all that fucking data helped them land guess who... brendon dodgers or have u forgot...they got lucky with klopp simples...
@@lowercentenary when we hired Rodgers, our revenues were pitiful, we were close to relegation, we were lucky to even get him.
Completely different scenarios. Like right now, data shows Mbappe is the best in the world… doesn’t mean we’ll sign him - we knew Rodgers was shit… but it’s all we could get
@TG-it8zt remember reading a very similar take of how AVB will be a perfect fit for Liverpool, tactically. It had graphs and all.
For those who don't know or totally forgot about AVB, it's André Villas-Boas....utter failure as i recall....thats the problem with relying too much on charts...." theres lies, damned lies and statistics" and all that rot...the man who follows klopp doesnt need personality (no one can match klopp same as when shankly left)paisely was complete opposite personality. But the next man MUST be a serial winner...even more than klopp...thats what bob paisley did...he actually took liverpool to an even higher level than shankly and THAT is what the new manager must do...
It's not a case of they're not going for Alonso because the data seems more in favour of Amorin, his agent has stated he's staying at Leverkusen
@@lowercentenary who would you suggest?
Finally seeing another LFC fan who choose realistically with Ruben Amorim😎
He's not a liverpool fan. He also has a Newcastle fan channel
I had only concern with him. His language ability - but he speaks perfectly English in the beginning of video.
My two top picks was Nagelsmann & Amorim, this video has just increased my decision to want Amorim as our next Head Coach
No, not Nagelsman. Weak defensively, and doesnt know how to hold a locker room yet
Oh Lord please no Nagelsmann, he's the German Brendan Rodgers, a terrible choice.
how is alonso not on that list
@@ermcoley9976 alonso stay one more season in leverkusen for real madrid next season
Nagelsman, SMH.
Here after the Xabi news 😭 He seems like a great potential successor for Klopp!
what xabi news?
@@ksatriapawana5265 He rejected an approach from Liverpool and will likely stay in Leverkusen.
Amorim is the way better option. Bringing amorim means more Portuguese league talents. Portugal have more prodigies at cheap fee like diomande ignacio joao neves antonio silva than alonso would bring those hincapie wirtz tah frimpong at higher price.
@@ksatriapawana5265 REAL MADRID PULL.... Alonso going to Madrid in 2025
Alonso terrified of succeeding klopp and coming up short on that basis he’s absolutely the wrong choice. We need someone who has massive self belief and charisma. Another Shankly, who can fire up the players and the fans. Amorin looks a much better choice than Alonso
Getting Amorin would be true Liverpool fashion
Do you mean "Liverppol" according to the video's title? 😏
do you mean we never got the 1st choice?😂
@@stanleywtangprecisely 😂😂 but it always works for some reason
Yes - but there are several others in contention.
Bro got trashed by Atalanta in Europa league
Thiago motta is silently doing an unbelievable job at Bologna
My favorite manager in Europe right now, even more than Alonso. Absolutely love his style and perspective on the game. Sad he's not on the race for LFC!
@@vitormelomedeiros I'm quite sure he's gonna go to Barca or Juve
No not silently.
I see I have found my burner accounts 😂 I am also on board with Motta madness
Love how he uses his centre backs great tactician
DON’T TAKE HIM AWAY FROM ME AND MY SPORTING!
That depends on a lot of things. But do not expect him to stay for long.
@@larsfriisc well he’s feeling pretty happy here. It’s not about money. Liverpool probably has to pay the full price for Amorim to break the contract with Sporting.
@@jpomsa The money won't be an issue, if Liverpool want him, they'll get him unless of course he denies.
@@Artemis_simetrA I believe he will only go if LFC give him freedom to decide everything (except budgets and whatnot) because he pretty much runs Sporting along with Hugo Viana the sports director. I dont think he will accept any less freedom than what Klopp has.
We need a young promising coach. Inexperience might not be crucial Guardiola was like 39 when we took over Barcelona. I like Amorim, he’s young, done great things for Sporting and he CAN be successful at us.
Been watching everything I can from Amorim for the past 2 weeks, and this guy seems like the real deal. Also, I love the way he carries himself in interviews! Top manager👍
But his strategy of playing from the back and bringing in goalkeeper would be suicide. He would have to drop that.
@pnthrillz isn't that what liverpool do already ?
Until you don’t . Truthfully speaking a manager in one league can be pretty deceiving to believe they will hit it. Eric Ten Haag at united is the same. This league can be unpredictable to say the least . It all comes from how willing supporters are to allow the new manager to adapt. Liverpool lose a few games and they will want him out.
@@erunzrapsodi01 No they do not involve goalkeeper. Klopp tried it earlier but it failed and he moved to a more safer system now.
@smullinsmulins6497 90% of us will give an attacking manager time. We historically give more support than most other teams.
am actually in for the idea of amorim being our coach next season... i like his ideas of football... how he really intergrates into his players is awesome... alonso is good but not for liverpool yet...
You underscore the importance of Alonso coming back to familiar surroundings. Arteta is doing what he is doing because one, he knows the league, he knows Arsenal and of course worked with Pep. Will Liverpool accord him the time to adapt ?
Amorim is clearly more experienced then and he does suit our play. Surprised counter attacks weren't mentioned that's an area Amorim dominates. He also takes youth seriously which is great.
You have a really good breakdown on how Ruben Amorim works his way in a club. But one thing that triggers me personaly as a Sporting fan.. It is called Sporting Club of Portugal, not Sporting Club of Lisbon.. Besides this point, great video
As a Portuguese, im used to this type of comment but honestly its normal for foreigners to call Sporting Lisbon instead of Sporting CP or Portugal.
I dont know a team known for the name of the country. Most teams are known for their city or part of city (benfica for example) amd there are several teams known as Sporting and not only in Portugal. In Spain, Sporting can be Gijon, for example...
As a Porto supporter, i prefer to see name as FC Porto than to FC Oporto but in the end, its the same.
hahahaahaha sporting de lisboa
Exactly, the name is SCP sporting club Portugal, where do they get the Lisbon from
yea ppl just say Sporting. There is no club named Sporting that is even close to Sporting Clube de Portugal. Just stop with the Lisbon. You can specify when you are talking about Sporting Gijon or Defensor Sporting.
@@paulomsantossilva Sporting isnt enough to identify the club. In Spain, Sporting is usually Sporting Gijon for example. Why do you hate Lisbon so much? Its your city...
Just let it go...
Amorim seems sound for the long term, his eye for young talents is very important in my opinion.. and his ability to adapt really seals the deal no matter what tactics he will use in the EPL.
As a supporter of Sporting Clube de Portugal (not Lisbon!!!!) I gotta say that I hope he doesn't leave. He was definitely the best acquisition for the club in the last 40 years, easy! When he came to the club, Sporting was in the midst of its worst ever crisis, and he quickly turned things around and won the title the following year. He's an amazing leader, communicator, and motivator, that's how he gets the best out of every player. Amazing video, great analysis.
On a more funny note, I cringed every time you said the name of the CB, his name is INACIO, not incacio!!😂
As soon as I played the video, with the quality audio and graphics, u made me hit the subscribe. Haven't seen any good quality LFC fan channel like this one.
Amorim is the man we need ....
We can make it with him and i like how people overlooking it
Inácio, Van Dijk and Konaté would be a crazy trio

I was really waiting for that video great analysis as always
I want another manager that plays heavy metal football :) YNWA
Good luck with that !!
There's only ONE Jurgen Klopp. !!
Hes a very exciting manger would love him at Liverpool 🤞
Amorin will be the best Coach in the World if he joins Liverpool. It is more like Endo's situation. Full Support to our man. YNWA
This is a great video! Great work, man.
This video has cheered me up after today’s Alonso news ☺️
He’s definitely my second choice after Alonso. I just can’t get over the romance and the job he’s doing at Leverkusen
Since Klopp announced that he was retiring, I knew Amorim would be in the mix and since the beginning he was my favorite. Also, in December there was rumours of Liverpool scouts watching Sporting games, I guess wasn't necessary for players but for Amorim itself.
They are scouting Inacio, Concalves from Sporting so could see both come in if Amorim comes in.
@@nickhardwell8016 not Gonçalves, he's not in Liverpool radar.

I’ve been saying for weeks I think Liverpool already no who their manager is and it’s Amorim it’s just the type of manager Liverpool go for

Can we get through this season with our best manager before thinking about who comes through the door.lets win trophies for this great man first
they need to know who the next manager is going to be before the end of the season, so they get all of pre season and players/fans know what’s happening
No, because these managers won’t be available long. If they end up with a Lucrative offer we could lose out on him!! So need to get it confirmed!!
This great man threw away one of the trophies he could've won, the FA cup.
Really. ??
Are you a Troll 🧌
@Mohammed-dy6xb why am I a troll. The current manager hadn't left and werr fighting for the league .and all am hearing is names who should come in.
Amorim is a great coach. he has a promising future. he turns promising players and likes to use a lot of youngsters.
the only question I have is in Sporting they dont have great players with big egos, most players are promising players that will end up in big clubs. I think he might struggle with this if not given the right support.
I’m sold on Amorim. But we’d have to bring in another Leftback. I just am not a fan of Kostas and there’s no way we’d able to ask Gomez to fill in when Robbo goes through injuries/rough patch of form like he is now. Would not end well. Maybe Kadiohlu from Fenerbahce or Robinson the American at Fulham
As a Sporting CP fan the last thing I want is to see Ruben Amorim leaving but at the same time I get extremely excited thinking about his next career step as I know he will be among the world elite coaches at some point. I will forever be his fan and root for him wherever he is.
Top notch as always.
The big dilemma for the Amorim appointment is, he uses a 2 man midfield with liverpool having potentially 8 midfielders. Mac Szobo Endo jones grav Baj Eliott and Trent. Trent does not fit the wide role under Amorim, don’t feel Eliott is physical enough for the wing role. How do you manage those players under 2 positions unless the ‘DM’ moves in as a 3rd CB which sorts Trent Baj Endo well.
He's an adaptable coach as well as one who's good at developing young players.
I think Szobo and Harvey can be wide forwards in a 343 because pacy wingers aren't a necessity in it like it is in a 433
@@poiudndudbbddiaz, salah and jota left the chat
Doesn't necessarily mean he'll play the same way!
He can adapt his style with a 4231 formation.
Nagelsman is as good as people think he is. He is a bad choice for lfc. Ruben amorim is the one
Why? Cuz nagelsman is disagreeable when it comes to decision making and it will make the work harder for him, hughes and edwards, is that what you are saying?
No doubt about it I’m not a Liverpool fan, but this guy definitely has what it takes
Iv hopped on the ruben amorim hype train, i like managers that play possession football, get him to Anfield 🤞🤞
I think Thiago Motta also did a good job in bologna. and surprised nobody noticed it in media.
leave our coach alone!!! Sporting
Devastated when Klopp announced he was leaving and very disappointed when Alonso said he was staying at Bayer. But after doing quite a bit of research on Amorim I'm starting to feel a lot more confident about the future. Assuming he comes to Anfield that is. I really don't want De Zerbi, I just don't think he's the right fit for Liverpool.
Ingacio and Gyorikees😂
😂😂😂
this video focuses more on his similarities with Klopp, but the question i am asking is: must the next coach be similar in tactics to Klopp? yes if they want to kick the ground running with their current players. no if they want to give the manager time to shape the team in his image. knowing Liverpool and FSG, it will be the later. we fans need to get used to the fact that we may not be competing for titles anytime soon but that with time, once the new manager gets a hold of things, it will go well. i think it is the patience that is lacking in the modern game that makes us speculate this much.
id rather a coach similar in playstyle to continue the tactics the current youthful players know.
@@Hourani95 fair point. But we may have to accept the possibility that even if the new manager is similar to Klopp, it doesn't correlate to winning.
@@sequoia689 100%. One of Klopp’s biggest strength (and any winning manager’s biggest strength) is not just the tactics but also man management. One can have similar tactics to him but not necessarily his ability to motivate the players and win. We’ll just have to see on that front
@@langletprolet8378i think amorim has a good man management and developing young talents
Leave Amorim alone at Sporting Clube de Portugal(or just Sporting). He is doing a great job at our club and he is not finished yet. We need to win the Portuguese cup with him, and an European cup, either one of the three. Take Nagelsmann.. he is alright.😊
I like that our shortlist is centered around young managers. It's going to be a difficult job for whoever takes over and they will be given time, so might aswell go young. But why do none of the shortlisted names include Motta or Inzaghi?
i didnt know this guy, but from your video he seems to be the figure liverpool would need. really wanted alonso, but this guy looks very likable like klopp. idk but alonso feels a bit distant from his player from watching a few leverkusen highlights, maybe hes more brain coach like guardiola or maybe because he's still very new while amorim has had more experience managing teams.
What do you use to edit your videos??
He is good no doubt. But we need someone who is used to work under HUGE pressure. Nagelsmann is there.
I agree with you there re the pressure and the personality it takes to handle that. In that regard Nagelsmann is suited. However after Bayern he seems to be developing a reputation as a disruptive force. Mourinho type if you will.
@@TravellingVineyard klopp also plays distruptive but doing it in a proactive way. It fits the club culture. I think next season will be a rather chaotic anyway. No problem to give it a try for Nagelsmann
Guy managed to keep a team that didn't win a league title for 20 years focused, and won it with ease. If that's not pressure, I don't know what is
@@andyfern8923 the premier league is a different galaxy imo. Bayern is a real test. Nagelsmann experienced that. Real Madrid wanted him when he was 35 its crazy. And we can still go for Xabi in 2025 summer if things don't go well

I couldn't really tell you who the best would be I just hope we finish this season with a title and now Alonso not coming il wait and see and hope its the right man. This guy looks really good and I'd support him and give him the chance as I'm sure the majority of Liverpool fans will. YNWA
Ah, yeah, the famous Liverppol
Of course
Jesus leave Amorim where he is right now! At least 2 more years… he’s by far the best manager we ve clinched in the last 2 decades, far better than any other portuguese coach in 1) tactical disciline (seen games where the entire team moves over the pitch wth a corps de ballet precision…) + 2) spotting young talents or, as we say, “making omelettes wthout eggs”… apart the tactical analysis the video forgot a detail: Amorim make us win again n will repeat this year wth half the budget of FC Porto n Benfica!!!
RUBEN AMORIM FOOTBALL GENIUS
Play style is slower. Plays contes 3 4 3 or 4 5 1. Yes lots of similarities with klopp
I want xavi but Amorim makes sense as Liverpool are linked with ignacio and also use both the 3-4-3 at times and when defending they drift into a 5-2-3 with all 3 forwards helping out defensively
It's XABI with a B
Way too many midfielders for a 2 man midfield system. Endo, Mac, Szob, Trent, jones, Elliot
Not a huge fan of 343
Considering Liverpool's injury record, having 8 midfielders is good to compete on all fronts. Besides, he's an adaptable coach
@@onlydbrasko is he adaptable?
What evidence is there that he can adapt to a squad as large as Liverpools, that is full of egos and players seeking maximum game time, at a club with maximum expectation and media scrutiny?
Where is the evidence bro? Good luck with Amorim!
Alonso was pretty clever. Liverpool are a club doing well at the moment. But they are in a very competitive league.
For alonso to succeed he would have to handle the monumental pressure every day and replace the void left by Klopp...
Any normal man wouldn't take that job if he has an easier job to succeed at a smaller club with less pressure.
Bayer is not expected to challenge for the league or win champions league.
Clever man.
Aight boys. Let the pain begin 👍
Approved
Sign him now!
Even before the news broke about Alonso staying at Leverkusen, there were reports that internally Edwards/Hughes are bigger fans of Amorim than Alonso. Easy to see why in this video and with his style of play wouldn't be a too big change for a lot of players. And I think his charisma would suit Liverpool and Merseyside quite well. Young, energy, fresh ideas and playing a football that's fun to watch. A lot of similarities when Klopp took over 8 years ago, he was slightly older but still young. Amorim feels like the sensible move. Personally not convinced someone like RDZ would be right for us.
This system suits Trent, perfect!
Thiago Motta?
Anorim?
Wait for Xabi?
Nagelsmann?
For me Nagelsmann is the closest match to deliver Klopp style football, but one thing that is tougher to replace is Klopps personality, character, humour, bonding skills etc etc
I'M SOLD !!
I think we will be fine with this guy !!
Here's hoping Amorin after missing Alonso will be like getting Endo after missing Lavia/Caicedo
Lets wait for any
I would be surprised if we ended with Xavi. So far i haven't seen any links to him. But he plays similar formation to Klopp. He's great at giving youth opportunities. And i think he will relish dueling with his former manager Pep Guardiola. Who knows, he might bring Yacine Lamal with him as Salah replacement.
Sporting is my first team and Liverpool is my second. If he goes anywhere I would hope it was Liverpool. BUT leave my boy where he is, at Sporting CP. He is happy and we are happy lol
Still rather Alonso, Alonso will get a honeymoon period if it doesn't work out from the get go.
This guy will not.
Well, that's out the window 😂
Yes he will just like Alonso would have !!
Yes he would.
As a Benfica fan, I could say I wish him to leave but honestly Portugal needs a strong Sporting so, I hope he stays. Just take Gyokeres instead haha
not Sporting Lisbon caralho. Its Sporting clube de Portugal "PORTUGAL" any way good video, but that manager sucks leave him at Sporting
We do however have a very good RB called Ricardo Esgaio he is top class, probably the best one playing in Portugal
As a Portuguese Sporting CP fan, I hope and think he will stay at least for another year. If a big club wants him, and he wants to go, they'll have to pay 30 million if I'm correct. But I also think he's way smarter and understands that it doesn't mater the coach, like Man U with Alex Ferguson, it will be almost impossible to replace a manager with such deep roots in the club. What will mostly happen, to the next Liverpool managers is, probably the same which occurred to Man U ones post Ferguson departure.
Agree, but there examples where one could provide a counter argument: . City went from mancini, to pellagrini, to Pep...winning and getting better.
Chelsea went from mourhino, to Amcelotti, to Avb (who was sh*t admittedly) , then won the CL post mourhino and attaining more success with Conte and Tuchel....
Man utd should be studied as 'experts in failure'
Signing the 2nd option has been our transfer philosophy for some time now lol
Yet we never regret it
Remember caicedo and lavia
Its always works for us
Great video dude but please work on your pronunciation of foreign player names
It's an English-speaker thing. Brits & yanks are woeful at pronouncing names
Clearly not made any attempt to hear how they are pronounced, that's just lazy from him. Goncalo was terrible but Gyokeres? damn that was brutal.
Just deal with your sensitive and delicate heart that is so easy to offend.
The guy isn't doing it deliberately and just doing his best. Appreciate the effort and take things lightly.
What a generation we have on our hands
@@Neville.Ndero8 oh stop clutching your pearls. Pronouncing names is one of the easiest things a big channel can do. It’s not like I’m asking him to draw up a bill of rights. You’d think you older generations would have thicker skin
Ok.. I hear you.. 🤔Now, one could argue that the PL, unlike the Portuguese League, will be a whole new challenge, and it is going to be very difficult to win the league - title, because in the PL, ANYONE CAN BEAT ANYONE and therefore he would have to have the perfect blend of tactical genius and psychological fortitude to stave off challenges from the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea Arsenal, Spurs and City.. Those are the aspects that he needs to be mindful of before signing on the dotted line.. That is ABOVE AND BEYOND understanding the club's (Liverpool's) ethos that Jurgen Klopp so brilliantly expressed in his tenure at Liverpool, not to speak of the enormous expectation from the fanbase!..

Apart from the butchered names, great analysis. Guy's gonna be huge. In Liverpool or whatever Prem club who picks him first

bummed to see Xabi fall out of the running, but i respect the fact that he announced it now rather then let it play out over the summer. Respect his decision. However the fact that Amorim was immediately top of the list and that Michael Edwards rates him so high, then he must be legit top tier. my friend is a big Sportingtista and says Amorim is world class and that he runs an attacking and positive style of soccer and having a manager fluent in English and Spanish will allow him to directly interface with everyone. I also tend to like managers who played defender roles, they seem to become better man managers
what iam afraid of amorim tactic is role of midfield. in liverpool attackers and wing backs would not be problem, neither central defenders if one more CB would come. however im no sure how suited is liverpool midfielders for his tactic. firstly, palying with two midfielders can provide problems with outrunning by opponents, cause big portion of teams are playing with three midfielders. on the other hand base on video, one of CB is providing additional support to them. so bigger problem is typology of these midfielders. except endo (and maybe jones) I dont believe anyone else is able to protect defense. macallister is more creative force and gravenberch with szoboszlai prefer run forwards. Im not able to imagine playing two of all these players in double pivot or when yes, it would be endo with jones/macallister with szoboszlai (or macallister?) benched? our best midfielders are szoboszlai with macallister and they are definitively not suited to play in double pivot.
on the other hand one of amorim traits I really like is his motivation skills as also mentioned in video. that sounds fine after klopp.
and im pretty sure Gyokeres name pronunciation is completely different :D
Mac could play double pivot like at brighton with natural dm besides him (i.e caicedo) at liverpool we have endo!
Klopp used 4-2-3-1 with lewandoski as a true 9 at Dortmund ..after he managed Liverpool he changed tactical to 4-3-3..maybe amorim change his tactical too by difference quality between Liverpool and sporting Lisbon especially in midfield

Both Alonso and Amorim confirmed they won't be leaving their clubs next season. Liverpool better look indoors for someone like Zerbi or Unai Emery.
I dunno man...the more I think about it, the more I think Ange Postecoglou would be the best man for the job. He's humble and a great man manager.
