I do a different trick with the shock absorbers, I am actually putting them under the liner, in the boot, this pretty much helps me with the stability of my foot inside.

    Hello hello
Coming from someone whos in Brazil trying to figure out which Inline skate I will buy in my trip to US, having the information about the shock absorber is really nice!
I have the same inline skate for like 15 years and now it's time to get a new one.
Thanks for all the information about it !

Good video - BUT I wish you would have talked more about the insoles used in the test!

Absolutely love all your videos Ive been binging them hugely, Im not sure why though some of the older videos I find the video&audio quality better and the more recents I struggle to hear? otherwise I love them, super informative and ive just started skating and got osme Razor SL reissues and found the shock absorbers were super high and made me so unstable, going to swap them out asap for sure!

Thanks for this video! You mentioned that you will put their dimensions AND their Shore A durometer ratings on the products pages. I see the dimensions there, which is great, but not the hardness ratings. Would be curious to get them as well.
I also have a question. Are there situations where you recommend actually removing the stock shock absorber (and not replacing it with another one)? It is such a necessary thing (if you don't jump from tall buildings...)? E.g. my PowerSlide Next boots felt rather tight in the instep area. Removing the shock absorber that is glued on the inner plastic insoles helped to create some extra space. I also replaced the stock insoles in the liner with Superfeet Hockey Comfort Insoles. The boots feel comfortable now, I am wonder if I'm missing something by not having this shock absorber? The Next boots already have quite a bit of heel lift built-in. I don't know if any more heel lift would improve my skating (in daily life I usually use minimalist or barefoot shoes with zero heel lift)? As for absorbing the shocks... don't we have our joints (knees, hips) to do it for us? Do people who practice parkour install shock absorbers into their shoes? How do skateboarders do their jump tricks with their skate shoes? And so on...

anymore info about those yellow superfeet? they are really popular also by hockey players or the mushroom guys? PowerTransfer should be improved, but if i would add a shock absorber to it gets a bit to high i think...

If a skates comes without a shock absorber, dont add one. It will change the lean too much

@@Thisissoul you're right... i figured it out a couple days ago, and it even will affect speed due this "over lean" haha thanks, buddy

Check rollerblade fusion 84 GM. I got one of these to start skating 3 months ago and they come with a shock absorber... for now, I'm landing up to a meter+ feeling very little impact !
