    Your painting of the frame looks as good as having it powder coated. I've seen painted frames and the finished product looks like it was rattle canned. What paint did you use for the frame? Any primer first? Your Damn Good. Thumbs Up Baby.

      I used SEM hot rod black. It comes as a kit and is a single stage paint. Super durable and gives a great semigloss finish

    Get some duck brand duct tape. 2 layers, it does the same thing. Covering it up and NOBODY KNOWS. I've done it on two high end cars that sold at high end auctions

    I'm fixing to do one up full rebuild like the one you're doing right there which the one you're doing is beautiful looking how much would you charge to do something like that

      Hi, thank you for watching my videos and I'm glad you liked the build. I'll hopefully be getting better with editing as I go.
      There's really no set number you can put on a restoration because you never fully know what's going on under the old paint. I charge $55 a hour plus materials. I don't work on your vehicle without you knowing so once I finish for the day, I send a email or text of my progress along with my hours so you can see where your money is going. I don't take any money upfront and typically like to put a couple weeks worth of labor on your vehicle before any money is paid. I can break it up in stages for you or work straight through. I found this is the best way to do restorations. Feel free to send me any other questions. Thanks again

    Hey bro when you did the rotisserie how dud you keep it from twisting

    • @moderntooclassicautodesign8676
      @moderntooclassicautodesign8676  2 года назад

      You can buy them from jegs or Eastwood's. They have a counter balance on them that makes the rotisserie super easy so one person can spin it without it rolling over. Once the vehicle is on the rotisserie, there's a seperate part and a long threaded bar that you can run in or out in order to move the car up or down on the rotisserie to counter balance the weight. Hope that helps, thanks for watching

    What Cain of transmission are you use and transfer case is original ?

    • @moderntooclassicautodesign8676
      @moderntooclassicautodesign8676  3 года назад +1

      Hi, thanks for watching the videos. That one has a 480LE and a 205 transfer case. With any 4L80 or 4L60 to a 205 transfer case, you'll need a special adapter to mate them together. Advanced adaptors is the only place you can purchase the adapters. If you run a 700r4 you won't need a adapter, and yes, the 205 transfer case is original, those things are bulletproof, just had it freshened up with new seals and bearing kit.

    what kind of products do use for primers

    • @moderntooclassicautodesign8676
      @moderntooclassicautodesign8676  4 года назад

      I use all ppg. For bare metal that's not in rough shape I'll use the dp90LF epoxy primer, it's pretty thin and won't fill any bad spots but it's the best for bare metal and keeps water from seaping through if its left a long time before you can sand on it. The other epoxy I use is VP2050 from ppg vibrance line. It's a super thick high build primer that can cover up deep pitts and scratches. Once I get the epoxy stage done I'll do my last primer in ppg k36, it sands super nice and locks down pretty much anything underneath it from shrinking or coming through. Thanks for subscribing, hit me up with any other questions
