- This is my first photography trip of 2024 and as is customary, we head to Death Valley for a few days of photography. Each trip is like a prayer to the gods as far as weather cooperating and this year was no different. We ran into a few obstacles but it was a great, albeit short, trip. We had a harrowing drive home but I came away with some work I am quite happy with. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did making it. You should have seen the water at Badwater Basin in Nov., it was green. I've been to DV 4 times since Nov. just to see the changes. I'm lucky I can do day trips from Vegas. Safe travels.

Great images. I've never been to Death Valley, but you definitely have me wanting to go sometime.
It’s a challenging place but I have always come away with images I’m satisfied with. It’s crazy because it’s so big and desolate but man it’s riddled with so much subdued beauty. It’s totally worth the trip if you ever can go.
