I listen to many genres, from Brutal death metal to Jazz, but sometimes I need something simple and just "in your face". Emmure never set out to be some crazy shreddy, melodic metal band so why keep comparing them to bands like that. Insulting their style is subjective. Getting mad at their guitar players for revolving around the low strings is like getting mad at Synester Gates for shredding. It's the style they write in? Last time I checked Frankie is also a very unique and talented vocalist. Regardless of if you like them or not, once the vocals kick in you know it's an Emmure song. Their lyrics and music styling has become extremely generic compared to what they used to be. I bought this album and though I did not enjoy it to extensively, I was not too disappointed because they haven't put out a great album in awhile.

It seems to incorporate elements from contemporary metalcore, as well as pay homage to the nu-metal movement. It's familiar, yet different all at the same time. Emmure is just one of those bands that will always be among the most polarizing within the metal community. And if you're one of those people that this band doesn't appeal to, that's fine and, quite frankly, understandable. But keep in mind that there are plenty of people who rally around this band and their content. And honestly, is that such a bad thing?
This music and vídeo are awesome! So much style and heavy tunes! This is one of the reasons i love new metal, because the music is straight in the face and have hip hop street references! Is not like the old boring metal with a lot of bands with songs talking about demons and that have 10 minutes of solos and guys wearing only black clothes with boots and long hairs...

I love Emmure, Frankie seems cool and so does Jessie which is a big plus to me. I dont care if it's simple or not either, it just sounds good to me. Cool video too, goes well with the song.

This actually exceeded my expectations. Emmure really brought in a new sound for this album and I fucking love it. Its so full of hate and beatdown sounding. So fucking raw. I love these dude because they're so fucking real and straight to the point. Regardless of what band you like, there is always going to be opposite opinions(which I respect) and that's totally fine. This music and vídeo are awesome! So much style and heavy tunes! This is one of the reasons i love new metal, because the music is straight in the face and have hip hop street references! Is not like the old boring metal with a lot of bands with songs talking about demons and that have 10 minutes of solos and guys wearing only black clothes with boots and long hairs...
..I just don't get why people hate this, consider the music boring, saying that the lyrics are childish.. Who cares? They are being themselves, music is fucking consistent breakdowns and honestly, when I'm angry, when I have a bad day or when I'm at work.. that's just what i need to keep me on my feet, and I just don't need crazy ass riffs, deep lyrics and whatever.. :)
Ive seen Emmure live dozens of times, and I have never been disappointed, so make your shitty remarks, and be as negative as you want to be. I will always be a fan of Emmure. Everyone is entitled to be as critical as they wish, but most of you in the comments speaking negatively are just making smart ass comments in the hope that you get likes off of the other music critics browsing youtube like a pack of trolls.

Yea man, when I hit up Mayhem in Toronto and I saw Emmure on stage I was thinking "Who the hell are these guys?? They're fucking killing it!". They had a huge crowd and people were loving it. And that's what counts.
i seen them when they were on tour with suicide silence on march 5th and they put one hell of a show on.. im waiting for another show around me, and imma go see them again

Im glad they are. It would be depressing to have the crowd not respond. Frankly if i were in a band No part of no song would attempt to have a part that the crowd has to sing because to make the assumption that they all even know your song seems a little arrogant. But i dig immure regardless.

i think this is dope... i like the cleans and rapping. theyre a band that plays repetitive riffs at the same tone mixed with breakdowns and odd structure. if you didnt like their last stuff you wont like this

Reminds me of the Limp Bizkit Nookie video....anyone else? In response to the same riff for two minutes people should know by now this is the bands whole appeal. They found a crowd of kids who want a band who play nothing but open chords and they've stuck to it...power to them!

I love Emmure, Frankie seems cool and so does Jessie which is a big plus to me. I dont care if it's simple or not either, it just sounds good to me. Cool video too, goes well with the song.

Sometimes simple is better. I miss how more bands used to just play without worrying about being technical and playing guitar solos. Some of the best songs I've heard don't even have guitar solos.

This actually exceeded my expectations. Emmure really brought in a new sound for this album and I fucking love it. Its so full of hate and beatdown sounding. So fucking raw. I love these dude because they're so fucking real and straight to the point. Regardless of what band you like, there is always going to be opposite opinions(which I respect) and that's totally fine. But as for me, this kicked me right in the fucking face. All hail the E!
