BEST scooby-doo movie ever, i remember beeing super excited when it aired around halloween when i grew up and i was even more excited when my mom got the dvd, still have it around here somewhere. So spooky, great fun.
As a fan of Scooby-Doo since I was a kid, especially the original two seasons, I loved this when it came out and I still do to this day. It's got a perfect mix of the old Scooby-Doo with a modernized adaptation, and the bayou setting is perfect. It'd be cool if you reviewed the old episodes, or some of the other movies
Same here I thought this film and the first few blended together with the franchise very well as they go from not only solving the mystery but realize that these thing are real.
I'am from Baton Rouge. If you ask a New Orleans cop, they'll set you up with a brass band that'll play while you drink. Y'know, cause you can openly drink. Should've done that in Scooby Doo. That woulda been cool.
This was great, thanks for the content JB! More Scooby content.... and Freddy Krueger videos, would be AWESOME. You mentioned Velma's crossover with Johnny Bravo, that would be interesting to cover. That crossover is super short, but you can just extrapolate on how dope Johnny Bravo was.
@@JBSpookyReview Scooby Doo and The Witch's Ghost, then Scooby Doo and The Alien Invaders, and finally, Scooby Doo and The Cyber Chase. You have to watch them in that order if you've never seen the others. It's a quadrilogy. You're starting with the best but the other three have some other great things they add while keeping the same feel of Zombie Island for Witch's Ghost and Alien Invaders. The Cyber Chase brings Scooby to the digital age and is an homage to the series and where it began. It's a great end for the gang imho. These are definitely the best movies that have ever been made for this franchise, and I personally put them as the last in the timeline of the Scooby universe even if they were made decades ago
I love this era of Warner Bros animation where it was pre-digital and they sunk so much money into amazing animation for stuff like Animaniacs, Batman:The Animated Series, Superman etc. You look at WB's original animation releases today and they're unbelievably cheap and lifeless
Great video as always and awesome info for sure. A good follow up to this as it is worth a watch for multiple reasons is the second in these 90's/2000 films Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost. We get the great Tim Curry in this, the animation is top notch, story follows many of the same beats so if you like Zombie Island you'll enjoy this, and we get the introduction of The Hex Girls.
This is the first film in the quadrilogy that Mook Animation made for the Scooby Doo franchise in the late 90s. They're all amazing and you should watch the next one called, "Scooby Doo and The Witch's Ghost." It's just as good as this one and many people argue over which one is better. Zombie Island is my favorite but all 4 are amazing. Then watch Alien Invaders and finally Cyber Chase!!
Honestly when I put this on my "bed" playlist I didnt even know it was from this channel just thought it was another random vid about this movie. Then hear JB's voice n was like, YES its that channel! SDOZI is still prob and will always be the best SD movie. Its unfortunate the poor innocent, lovely cat girls didnt have the happy ending they deserved. What? I dig cat girls, evil or not.
It was a great movie, and this was a great video. I think the only thing that would've made this movie scarier was flashbacks of Lena and Simone killing people in their werecat form (although that may have been too inappropriate for a children's movie 😅).
I don't know if you ever checked out Scooby-Doo mystery Incorporated TV show but if you haven't you should really check it out the storytelling is really good there's an overarching mystery to the entire series and there's a lot of good references from the classic Scooby-Doo shows and and movies that came before it
By the way I'd love some reviews of the creepier episodes of Batman:The Animated Series. Stuff like the first Man Bat episode or classic movie type monsters like Clayface

So spooky, great fun.
It's so much fun, I watched it maybe 3 times for this video and it never gets old.
Watching this every Halloween season with my family has become a tradition since first seeing it as a kid. Only wish they did a bluray release.
This movie definitely needs a nice a bluray.
They just released a blu ray version!!

I might do videos on the older stuff, I've always enjoyed some scooby-doo.
Same here I thought this film and the first few blended together with the franchise very well as they go from not only solving the mystery but realize that these thing are real.
Wow, core memory unlocked. This was the movie that initially got me into SD as a kid!
There really is no better way of getting into it than this.
I always loved Scooby Doo. I did not care for Scrappy Doo. I will still watch from time to time.
Scrappy taught me that yes, it is indeed possible to absolutely despise a puppy.
Scrappy is annoying. I've never met anyone who likes him.

Haha is this for real?
@@JBSpookyReview Oh yeah. That comic Hannibal Buress has a pretty good bit about it. Fun times, honestly.
Scooby doo on zombie island The first movie with zombies and cat creatures it remind two horror movies
Zombie 1979 and cat people 1942
I'm itching to do a video on zombie...
I remember when this premiered on cartoon network. Scared the heck out of me when I was a kid.
They did a good job making the monsters actually look scary for once.
This was great, thanks for the content JB!

There are more Scooby ideas floating around and of course more Krueger.
TRMORS IS ALWAYS DOPE.
One of my favorites.
SICK VELMA BURN BTW
That show is trash.
Classic SD. Best of the three good movies
What are the others and are they worth watching?
@@JBSpookyReview So Scooby Doo and The Witch's Ghost is absolutely worth a watch as you have Tim Curry voice acting and the birth of the Hex Girls.

i watched this so many times as a kid! love your channel bro!
I wore out my vhs so we had to get another haha. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos.

Yeah even the DC stuff has fallen off hard over the years. Their animation used to be art, now it's just cheap product.
Awesome 😎 movie
It really is a ton of fun.

Well if you dig cat girls then you should watch the 1982 horror film Cat People lol. It might be up your alley.
It was a great movie, and this was a great video. I think the only thing that would've made this movie scarier was flashbacks of Lena and Simone killing people in their werecat form (although that may have been too inappropriate for a children's movie 😅).
They could have found a way of doing it without going overboard I think.

I have not seen it, but I have heard good things about it.
OH WOW, THIS BRINGS BACK MEMORIES.
I know, I was only reminded of it because of one of my previous X-Files videos.
@@JBSpookyReview I REMEMBER THAT.
Wice won waggy, great video as always man (where's the Scooby doo/x files crossover? 🤔)
I wish there was one. That would be so awesome.
@@JBSpookyReview I know that would be amazing
Imagine demanding a fictitious character be portrayed as vegan or else.🙄
Hahah I don't know what he was thinking.
Yup. Threw away an amazing movie opportunity in order to virtue signal like a fool
You should check out Scooby-Doo! Camp Scare
I will look into it.
By the way I'd love some reviews of the creepier episodes of Batman:The Animated Series. Stuff like the first Man Bat episode or classic movie type monsters like Clayface
I've already thought about doing that. Especially the man bat episode.
