I love it sm much because the plot twists r very unpredictable but not so out there that the make no sense and it sound like the author just wanted too trick u lol it also has a little bit of a cute romance (nothing spicy) and the characters r rlly lovable!

@@Jackie76493The book is about a murder that happened 5 years ago when Andie Bell was murdered and her boyfriend, Sal Singh, was acused of killing her and then killed himself (or thats atleast what people in the town believe) before he got questioned. But Pippa whos 17 years old decides to do a project about the case and figure out what really happened because she believes the killer is still out there. During her journey she meets many people who lie and dont fully say the truth about what happened that night she even gets a death threat telling her to stop the investigation.
I really recommend reading it, im still in the process of reading but its a very good murder mystery book and has lots of twists. Hope this helps!

I used to work at a very large retail brand bookstore and they only paid $11 an hour. I took a break from working with them for a contract job. When I came back, I asked for a set number of guaranteed hours or potentially an increase in pay. Since in the time I had been gone I had been diagnosed with epilepsy. They could not guarantee me this, but instead said happily “but our employee discount has gone up to 50%!” Like. That’s not gonna pay my bills or keep me medicated and out of the ER 😞

I thought working at a large indie bookstore was the dream…it was the opposite of that. Full time, minimum wage, you would get fired if you got caught reading or even leaning against the counter (even if the store was empty), no accommodation for most disabled shoppers (owners scoffed at me for learning customer service ASL because “deaf people don’t read”), chasing out people who were using book nooks to do really inappropriate stuff, and HR handled me asking for help with a coworker who was sexually harassing me by making it common knowledge amongst the staff. Meeting the occasional celebrity (it was in a popular ski town in Vermont) was the only benefit. 😬🤷🏻‍♀️

oh gosh i missed working for an old bookstore owned by this kind uncle from my neighbourhood. i remembered going there a lot throughout my childhood cause i love all of his collections of old fictional books, and one day he just came up to me, talking about his favourite book at that moment and asking me if i was ever interested in working there while i was on my break. of course, the pay was bearable for a student like me at that time, just gaining myself some allowance but the vibe and calm atmosphere of the bookstore in the middle of a small neighborhood was the thing that made me fell in love with it (plus all of the books that i could read for free). it's a shame now the old bookstore's closed cause the uncle had moved to another state, living with his son's family. the uncle even gifted me a harddrive before he moved, advising me to work hard for my dream and never losing myself amidst all the battle. i really wish i'll get another chance to meet the uncle again, proudly showing to him how much i've grown and achieved in life.

I worked at a supermarket as a part time job, but had applied to some book stores as well and got nervous about quitting too early on, but my mother was like: no, if you get a job at a book store you’re immediately switching to that. Just because I told you you need a job, it doesn’t mean you have to have a job you don’t like.
And I don’t think I’ll ever forget that
(I didn’t get the book store jobs and the supermarket job was fine, but if I need another part time job I’ll definitely be looking out for a bookstore job)

I worked at a bookshop that sold school books, one of about a dozen shops under the same company that also had a website and did click&collect, ie the order was shipped to your closest shop instead of your home. The warehouse was poorly managed so orders took ages and yet came in incomplete, and it was a small shop so when we got busy the place was impassable. I remember noting on at least one occasion that the line stretched down one of our two aisles, up the other, and out the door, up next to the window, for at least the length inside the shop if not more. Plus, we had to cover the books in the shop in front of and at the request of customers, which took So Long. It's kind of annoying that thats what i remember about it, because the job i was actually hired for was evenings and weekends, around my classes, was so much nicer. The shop was pretty quiet a lot of the time so aside from open, close and occasional tidying, i spent a lot of my shifts reading.

I'd love to work at a small book shop or library one day. B&N is great sometimes, but it doesnt seem like the best place to work. I've been a bookworm all my life and the peaceful silence plus the smell of books sounds like total bliss.
