- The Humble Shield from Humble Lamb is the absolute most beautiful bible bag I’ve ever seen. It is the perfect size for two bibles, some pens and highlighters. Often bible cases can’t handle larger bibles, and they are not very attractive, which is a huge deterrent to putting high end bibles in them. Now your premium bibles can be protected in an equally premium bag.
The Humble Shield is made of full grain brown calfskin on the outside and has a smooth velvet like liner on the inside. The liner won’t scratch or scuff your leather (put them in spine down). It has brass clasps, with an adjustable strap to use similar to a messenger bag (for the ladies you can shorten it like a purse). It has some fairly powerful magnets to hold the flap closed. You can tell this is specifically designed for bibles, and it’s perfect for the occasion.
It is 13.5 x 11.5 x 2.75 inches, but it spreads wide enough to hold my daughter’s rebind that is almost 3 inches thick, her compact NIV, some pens and a notepad. If you only carry one bible you can also fit a tablet, or even a small laptop, but this thing is handcrafted for premium bibles. I absolutely love the logo stamped on the front. Heck. As a woman, I would definitely use this as a handbag. I usually take a Bible with me to a doctor's office to read while I'm waiting to hear my name called. This would not only accommodate that, but my wall, cell phone, and little black book containing medical information for me and for my husband. I could also easily slip in our checkbook too! I haven't checked the website yet to see how much it costs, but if it's within range for me, i just may buy one and dispose of my other cheap purses. Thanks for the review. :)
Tim, I just received mine. They certainly ship very quickly. It is a beautiful messenger bag, certainly I have never owned one so nice. I was surprised at the weight, though I don’t know why, because it is the same feel as a fine Bible. I own around 25 Bibles and I really don’t like Bible covers. This is a great solution that will protect whatever Bible I happen to have. I bought this after watching your review and I am delighted with it. However, I am going to see if I can find someone to custom make a handle for it. Best wishes from Texas!

This is one step away from being my dream bag. Just needs an outer conceal carry locking zipper compartment. If it had that, I would order right now. Great review! Ill be watching this comoany to see if they come out with what I need because this bag is beautiful!

I just ordered the olive green lion Bible . I have a handmade all leather backpack I ordered out of the Ukraine. I keep my first edition Warner New Testament Bible still in its box in the backpack . I only take it out when I am bringing it to a eatery place . My backpack is loaded with stuff . But I need this humble shield for my future humble lamb Bible . So I am gong to order it. When it comes to the Word of God you can’t put a price tag on it . Got to protect it as well as you can put other things stay as pens . Study material . Witnessing stuff. This bag will be perfect . I can walk around the mall carrying my Bible when it arrives .

You mentioned the one thing that was a dealbreaker for me, I wish it had a handle.
I’d definitely like to see a handle, however with the design I understand the reasoning.

It looks like a very manly leather messenger bag. You know…like Jack Bauer (24). Only with the message of God inside. Very nice!
It’s not a purse . It’s a premium Bible messenger bag. I just ordered one amazed how super fast it was delivered .
It’s very elegant . When I did have bibles in the past I always just carried around. I never did like the Bible holders . As of now I have my first edition Warner New Testament Bible in it. I ordered the Humble Lamb Lion in slate Green . I am waiting for them
To received the shipment then ship them out. I can’t wait to have it and put it in the bag. I like to put the bag across my body giving off appearance of carrying a true messenger bag . I also can throw in the bag two or three t Christian t shirts I had made up in the future to help spread the Gospel.
I swore off messenger bags when my niece said, “ Don’t forget your purse!”

Thank you for a great review ! I just ordered this Beautiful bag . I ordered the Humbled lion HIStory Bible in Rose gold. I think this bag is designed very well. I think it looks masculine, I hope it doesn’t look too masculine. I like how there is extra room for pens, small iPad, or a notepad m. This is a great bag. This bag does NOT look like a Purse. I am a woman so It doesn’t matter to me .It looks like a messenger bag. Very Nice bag.

It’s a beautiful bag…..but i think the color is what makes it look like a purse. If it was black or chocolate it would be better.

I have a top five Catholic bibles video but I can’t remember if it features my Knox Bible which is a single column.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews I love my KNOX Bible. I think it’s definitely one of the best translations there are. I’m definitely going to get it rebound by PTL or somebody else that would be able to get to it before the end of the year. 👍
@@skolsaw1080 I have loved the Knox since first buying it in college in the seventies as a Presbyterian back then. I still consider it along with the NLT as my favorite translation to read just for the pleasure of reading.
@@loveisall5520 I love the NLT as well. It’s so great to have both of these translations that get the meaning of the text down so well and reads so differently than the main heavy hitters.
I would hate for the zippers to scratch the leather or the gilding Iike you mentione. I wish that the Bible compartment was completely smooth on both sides (meaning w/o a zipper on one side)
The zipper could go on the other side. But as long as you pay attention it will be fine.

Great video. I typically agree with you on your reviews but this thing looks feminine to me. It looks like a lady’s purse. Maybe if it had straps like your other bag (at start of video) and maybe a darker color would give it a masculine vibe.

Hi! Check the description for the bag dimensions! A full size laptop just barely misses.
I wish someone would make nicer Bible covers for all sizes of Bibles. I don't want anything written on the covers, like armor or swords. Just a plain leather Bible cover that is real leather or faux as long as it is good quality.
I believe Classy Leather makes something of that nature. But this bag is nice too.
Yes. I have my NASB TCR in a leather cover that fits like it was made for it, and it's lasted well over 30 years. When I go to our very large Catholic bookstore in Houston (Veritas) they have a huge selection of covers, most of which I rule out immediately because of junk on the covers, but so often they are either too large or too small. I feel like Goldilocks trying to find covers that fit! Best wishes from Texas-
