Tommy stood the test of time. His voice is incredible. Absolutely untouched by time. I loved his music way back when and now I love it even more because no modern artist compares. Sorry, but this artist is the real deal. I prefer to listen to REAL music that uplifts me. Brilliant.
He is still great as he was back in a day....saw him a few years ago at the Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove NJ......just Awesome!! So many great songs from childhood of the 60's and 70's era!
The original recording is a great example of simple yet very effective recording production techniques. I saw Tommy at one of those revival shows with other artists from the 60s. He was great!. Even better is when his set was over, he left the stage and came out to sit with us in the audience and chat. A really cool guy. Total class.
Reminds of 1971 working at the boat shop after school in the 11th grade. Weekends loading up our dirt bikes and heading up hwy 41 into the Sierra Nevada mountains from Fresno. A little Datsun pickup. We packed a Kawasaki 350, Montessa 250, Bultaco 250 and Honda trail 70, plus tool box, ice chest, three in the front and Ralph's little brother in the back. Ralph, Jim, me and Ralph's younger brother. All day rides I'll remember those days when I close my eyes the final time..... Fun......
this is so great i was 10 coming off the bus with my am only panasonic transistor radio when i heard this on the Big 610 am kfrc San Francisco! So Awesome!

Tommy still sounds great as he did when I saw him back in the early 70's when this song first was released. Got his greatest hits on cd. Just love to put on the headphones with a beer and close my eyes. Thanks Tommy for great music to listen to.
Tommy was a straight up beast!!!! Hanky-panky, I think we’re alone now, Crimson and Clover, dragging the line, sweet cherry wine, Mony mony, that’s an outstanding résumé!!!! I want to go back to 1966 to 1970 right now!!!!
I saw his band in northern MN 5 yrs ago and talked to him and band at bar. I told him I have his 8 track in my car, 69 roadrunner...his drummer told me he had purple 💜 70 runner and they bought me a couple beers. I was honored

ALL FROM MICHIGAN, DETROIT OR THE MIDWEST :) BACK IN THE 1960S AND 1970, LOTS OF TRADITIONAL ROCK N ROLL BANDS WANTED TO MAKE A POLITICAL STATEMENT IN THOSE CRAZY DAYS OF SOCIAL REVOLUTIONARY CHANGE. THATS WHY AMERICAN ROCK MUSIC WAS SO GOOD AND ORIGINAL BACK THEN.
Just realized how many songs he had my dad is two years older than him and I listen to all the songs back in the day which my dad told me who he was back in the day I never appreciate his voice as a kid but gosh every video I’ve seen of him live he puts on a great show I would love to see him in concert excellent

I've played on that stage, and it's amazing how much bigger it looks on video. It's about the size of a postage stamp. Can't believe how great Tommy sounds after all these years.

One of the absolute greatest bands of the 70's. Still enjoying Tommy's music now un 2023. Never get tired of his music ❤😊
TJ still has the same golden voice now as he did in 67, and he is indeed under-appreciated.
