This was a really fun story to listen to and you did a great job telling it! Thanks, guys! What's interesting to think about is how back then your mode of transport wasn't identity-focused like it is now. When driving a horseless carriage today becomes such a core part of your identity, it's tough to want to work together because you always feel threatened. We do need to bring back some kind of good roads movement united front again!

We need to shift public sentiment towards bicycle lanes as a means for ems vehicles

    Great story.
You just made one big mistake at the end that might affect any future visit to Toronto 😂
Olivia Chow is the mayor of Toronto and she promoted bike lanes.
The problem is with the notorious Doug Ford, the premier of Ontario (like a governer of a state) and he passed a law thatnww bike lanes in any city must be approved by the provincial government as they "slow down traffic and cause congestion and they also enabled the dismantling of existing bike lanes in a few of the main streets.
Doug Ford's brother was mayor in the past (uou might remember the crack usage story, he was addicted to drugs and alcohol). doug also run dfor mayor but lost so he has a grudge against the people of Toronto. The law that was passed is mostly for contruction of a new highway and a few other expensive and unnecessary highway projects.
