  • Here you'll find a rather in-depth review of my bike Claire, a 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S who has about 3,000 miles at point of filming. Unfortunately a dude was mowing his lawn near the point of filming as well, and though it wasn't that loud or obnoxious in person, it seemed to be all my microphones wanted to focus on. So if the audio seems weird, it is, cause I had to artificially cut the BG noise, but it took some tones away from my voice as well.

Bro you are not crazy for naming your bike. I just bought my 2025 Vulcan and named her Black Beauty. I love the mate black just complements her lol.

I'm a beginner rider. I bought a 2023 Vulcan S two months ago. I'm soo glad this is the bike I'm learning on. Plenty of speed in all all conditions. Its been extremely forgiving when I make mistakes shifting up & down.
It's just been a pure pleasure to ride so far.
As for seat comfort I did my first 1.5hr on back roads last weekend. I was comfortable and could have gone longer.
I do plan on an aftermarket exhaust. Stock is pretty quote.
    Cheers!

You pretty much summed up my thoughts about the bike. Aside from the lack of dual disk brakes and the stock exaust and original light bulb, i dont have any complains about the bike

Been looking at cruisers for awhile now. And I have narrowed it down to the Vulcan S, and the Honda Shadow Phantom. The Honda has a V-twin and shaft drive, while the Kawi has a chain drive but makes more power. Both have good ergos for me, which is real important. Want something for longer trips. Great video.

your welds are really, really good, I have one from 2021 and it's dramatic. Maybe Europe has a different quality, or they have already improved

Call mine Nimoy for Leonard Nimoy since he played Spock the original Vulcan

Hey jack I have the same exact motorcycle with 2876 miles. I had to install a universal windshield from puig and what a difference that made to keep the wind off my torso. i pretty much agree with what you said.

That dash is a lot better than some '24 Honda all digital ones, particularly for visibility in the sun.

I'm watching all of your videos about both the Eliminator and the Vulcan S in preparation for purchasing my next motorcycle.
As you began the riding portion of this video, I looked at the street. It looked like it was in need of repair. Which makes me wonder if buying a dual sport motorcycle might be more prudent with the infrastructure of the USA falling apart. I know that one can stand on the Eliminator, but when one isn't standing and hits something unavoidable at the last second, which one handles the bumps and holes better?
I'm no mechanic. It looks like doing valve adjustments on either of these engines will be expensive due to difficulty accessing them. Is this untrue, or do valve adjustments take a long time on these? How many miles between valve adjustments are there on each engine?

When not standing on the pegs, they’re about even in absorbing the feel of the bumps, the eliminator has the dual rear springs and more “balloon” tires than the Vulcan S, but the Vulcan S ends up bouncing just a bit less due to its heavier weight I believe.
As far as valve adjustments, they’re not easily serviceable, but have less frequent intervals than Royal Enfield for instance.

Your videos are always helpful. Is there anyway that you could tell me which way the two fuel lines on the left side of the tank get connected? I think one is a fuel return and a vent maybe? My tank is marked with a blue dot but neither hose is marked.
One of the hoses runs down through the bike and out by the kickstand, should it be connected to the port on the tank with the blue dot or the other port? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That hose that runs out by the kickstand, on my bike connects to the port closer to the front of the bike, which is further from the blue dot.

Thinking about buying this as my first bike and the eliminator for the wife's first bike as her gift for graduating nursing school in a year. We can ride together.

Sounds like a plan! If you want a video comparing those two side by side, I’ve made one about a month back!

When I name my bikes, they tend to develop rebellious personalities. So I stopped 😅
