I am 71 years old and sold my last Harley I will ever own, I paid $37,000 plus tax, title, doc fee, and tag and it broke down four times within the fisrt year. I went back to a Japanese motorcycle. My choice, a 2024 Kawasaki Eliminator SE. I paid a little over $5800 plus tax, title, doc fee and tag. All in all it cost me $7000 out the door and I LOVE it. It is zippy, I can take off from a stop and just after I shift to fourth gear it's going 85 MPH. It corners great and delivers between 62 and 66 mpg, depending on how I ride it. I thought about a Vulcan S but it would have cost $1800 more and didn't come with a passenger seat or passenger foot pegs. So the Eliminator won. So far I added a rear carrier and a Givi top case (29Liter for $98.00) And I changed the front spocket from a 14 tooth to a 15 toorh to lower the rpm at highway speeds. (lowered about 500 rpm at 60 mph) I also bought a 38 tooth rear spocker to replace the 43 tooth spocket but haven't changed it yet.I plan to soon now that cooler weather has arrived. My hope is to lower the rpm even more at highway speeds without losing too much of that wonderful zip it has. I added a Puig windshield but it directed ALL the wind to my ears and I removed it. the bike is more comfortable without it. I hope with both spockets changed the rpm will be lowered about 1000 rom at highway speeds allowing me to travel at 70 mph comfortably and still have a zippy little bike that is more fun than any Harley I ever owned. And that's why I love motorcycles...FUN. Ride safe and enjoy every journey.
@@rajeevwx I bought the rear carrier so I could install a Givi 29 Liter top case which is very handy. I didn't want saddle bags. I'm old and it is easier not to bend over to dig through saddlebags to find things. Also I didn't want to make this bike look like a Harley want to be, so I chose the topcase over the saddlebags.
Bought a '24 SE as my first bike about 3 months ago, and a 1,000 miles later, I'm absolutely loving it. More horsepower and lighter than the Rebel 500 and a MUCH more comfortable seat. Added a Puig Ranger windshield, a Shad 50L top case (on the Kawasaki rack), and mirror extenders (my only complaint about the stock setup). It's mostly for commuting, but I've had it at 70 on the interstate plenty. The windshield makes a big difference! I tested it up against the Rebel, Triumph Speed 400, and the RE Super Meteor, and, except for the cooler sound of the RE, I think I definitely made the right choice.
Nice info added buddy. Why, well, I have had lots of bikes (26/27). Hypersport, big touring bikes, naked and go on. All brands and Downsizing the last years and my last bike was a Royal Enfield Meteor 350. I loved that bike and have it the longest time of all bikes. But I sold it for 2 reasons. The warranty period was remaining 1 y and so more interesting for someone to buy it and overtaking and high way riding......overtaking.....just don't even think about it and on the high way overtaking a truck was risky. So now I am considering 3 bikes. A Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, a Honda CL500 and this Eliminator 500 in white. Not the SE version because I really don't like that big block on the steering wheel what much be a phone gps charger and in Belgium the SE version comes alone in completely black with a dark grey tank top. (But you can hardly see the difference between the black and that dark grey. I did a test ride with the Kawasaki Z500 and the engine was really good but the seat position of the Z and the position for a pillion is not good. If your wife like to drive with you but in fact you don't like to ride with you, buy a Z or ninja with that kind of passenger seat and she will divorce you 😂. Thx for that information because still have doubts. Best regards
About to hit 500 miles on mine and I have to say it’s so much fun !! I’m sure after I pay mine off in a year or so ! I’m keeping it and going to buy a bigger bike to Cruz with my buddies on long trips but so far I love this thing it’s awesome
I had a choice between the Eliminator and the Vulcan and I took the Vulcan as my starter.. with my girth it was a good fit. 650 has enough torque to propel me. However the Eliminator was nice. I didn't like the mirrors on the Eliminator though, course I'm not a huge fan of the Vulcan's either. Anyway, fun video. Thanks for posting looking forward to more!
Firstly, jealous of the autumn colors you have. Secondly, I’m loving mine. I have 5200 miles on it after buying it in January and it’s still very fun. The windscreen definitely helps it be “highway capable”, but I feel like it’s forced compliance lol. I’d love for Kawasaki to make a Z400RS style of a bike with a 4 cylinder from the ZX4R, but that’s wishful thinking. The matte black that was released in Japan and Europe was cool. Kinda sad it didn’t come to the states.
I have also wished Kawi would make a 400RS, and a Vulcan S that used the Z900’s four cylinder. They did the US dirty too cause now black is available as the 2025 color.
Omg...the outro made me bust up. Needed that today! 😂 I like this bike, but i don't handle wind buffeting very well; then again, big windscreens are ugly. Thx for sharing this! Great review!
eliminator SE black here, 1000 miles and going on! love it so far, my first real bike so its more than enough for me for now! maybe ill add a windshield and GiVi has a whole collection of goodies for it.
@virginiaflory9724 yes I installed it and I highly recommend it. It's a quality product, the windshield is really thick and the mounting brackets are sturdy. It cuts the brunt of the windblast pretty good.
Wow what a great video! I’m so glad I traded my *little HOMO (Honda Monkey)* for this little gem! I definitely love the way she gets around town… also took her to some backroad twisties and she did great!! Once again thank you for not putting any tofu on it! Vegan crap sux! 😂😂😂😂
You got the Eliminator?!? Bro that’s awesome, last I knew I was trying to hype you up about the monkey (and shill some soy product probably) and now you already traded it in? Congrats! Did you get the black and orange one?
thanks brother I appreciate it! I got the grey one… I couldn’t pass up the deal! And your videos made it easy for me to make the jump! Thanks again and hope to see more dope content! 🤟😬
Thanks for the interesting video. Can you tell me which exhaust pipe the bike has? I have an Eliminator and love your exhaust. I had a Vulcan S before the Eliminator, and I think the Eliminator is more fun and a lot more nimble.
It’s a VooDoo reverse cone, with an elbow to get the angle right. ruclips.net/video/fRHp9eI5aSI/видео.htmlsi=gUSQYM4OKnHx6Xwx There’s the video I made about it, if you’d like greater detail or part numbers
I have a GoPro Hero10 with a media mod, and then a microphone for a Rig gaming headset is plugged in via a gain controller. The gain controller is just some no-name amazon one, and the rig mic was also available there.
I got mine a month back. Great motorcycle, but the fuel gauge is acting really weird, it goes to single bar even the tank is almost full, goes up sometimes, I don't know what's happening! Did you also experience this?
Yeah the pricing is in a weird spot rn, but I feel like if Kawasaki goes and shows the Vulcan S some love and modernizes it, it’s gonna cost a fair amount more than it does now. I love my Vulcan S, but it doesn’t have the tech features newer bikes do. I don’t mind that personally, but I’d imagine there are def some buyers who pick other bikes that have “modes” and stuff like that.
Why you don't have several hundred thousand subscribers is beyond me, loved the video and the humour.

I got mine a month back. Sir, is the rear carrier useful enough? It looks good though.

Sat on one at my dealer while I was getting the firetong installed. This might be my lady’s first bike!

I ordered the 16" windscreen from t-rex racing. Will let ya all know when I've installed it and rode with it.
Have you gotten it installed yet? Looking to get a windshield for my eliminator and am curious as to how much it helps
@virginiaflory9724 yes I installed it and I highly recommend it. It's a quality product, the windshield is really thick and the mounting brackets are sturdy. It cuts the brunt of the windblast pretty good.
Good job .jack I agree.😊

Nope, I don’t have that problem. If you take your bike to the dealer for the first service that might be worth a mention while it’s in!
The Vulcan is only 1k more.
