Last year, we were burdened with the least accurate QB in the FBS. Practically any other QB will be a step up for us. And, we've got a lot more talented WRs. Also, we're deeper all over the field, so we should hold up better in the 2nd half. We're a veteran team. Practically everyone we want back is back. We've got the B1G rushing champ. Sam Brown is healthy. The schedule is favorable. Overall, there are lots of reasons for optimism.
Terrell Willis call-out! hell yeah!!!
Get some decent QB play from AK and 9 wins is very doable
@PequaKnight It's also much more possible to get these 9-10 wins because neither Michigan nor Ohio State are on our schedule, but surprisingly we also won't have to dread our annual defeat against Penn State!
Ah yes it’s looking like a great season. Just have to focus focus focus. Every opponent is also fighting to take RU down.
How in the world do they have UCLA ranked above Rutgers, when in my opinion, we have more talent than UCLA?
Sadly Old enough to remember!
Definitely hoping for the best. I keep remembering we had 3 punt block touchdowns, all big but MSU/MIA plays you could argue was the biggest play of each game, (plus msu onsides kick). The hope is the depth + QB solidifies the squad so less of those are needed. BUT, I think the over under on punt blocks is still 2.5 in my mind.
IF RU GETS some breaks, it could be fun year.
You could argue that they were fortunate to finish at 7-6 last year with bad QB play and a grind it out offense. Even with their favorable schedule they will be hard pressed to repeat that record. The wildcard seems to be playmakers emerging on offense. Will that happen?
How does the NCAA settlement affect the NIL especially for teams like Rutgers?
