@@freckledlemonade5901today's love words were lyrics from a song I was listening to this morning on my drive. I appreciate your kind words. You're right nobody asks me to do it but I do it weekly because I know in my heart someone needs some encouragement. Someone out there is getting kicked in the balls by life and feels like nobody gives a shit and I want them to know someone does. Even though I don't know y'all personally, this Momma loves you guys and the Honeydew podcast is what brought us all together.
I'm glad it's turned into such a positive thing. It's my small way of pumping love into this fucked up broken world. This Momma loves you and Canada! ❤

Amazing, thanks so much for this. I'm growing into a stepmother role in my life right now, as a 29 year old with pretty bad mama trauma, who thought she would probably never be a parent in any capacity. This was so helpful to me and I'll definitely listen to it again, and probably again and again over time, there is so much to be gleaned from this episode. I choked up at one point reflecting on how I'm breaking one of many ways I was mentally and emotionally abused just by being a safe space for my stepdaughter to express her feelings when she feels hurt by what I say or do, because I will inevitably fuck up, and I want her to feel safe in telling me when I do.
    Thank you again.

I really appreciate the educating Pinsky does surrounding cannabis. Because of brilliant drs. who are actually trained in harm reduction it is possible for people to find their own path to recovery that is not shrouded in shame. I've cut the concentrates. I try to keep an even mix of THC and CBD flower but I do hope to be fully sober someday and I feel dr. drew cheering me on every step of the way. Thanks for the free therapy always Ryan. Keep killing it out here.

His evolution on it is admirable. He used to really demonize it. But now he has one of the most logical approaches. Everything has a tradeoff, I don't like people praising it as a harmless cure all for everything, it's reckless. Some people react badly to it, especially when overused. I'm a little worried seeing the same thing happening with psychedelics. There is great potential with them but also great risk. And they aren't the magic key to enlightenment they're made out to be. You still see brainless narcissists and psychopaths come out of the experience with little more to say than "man, that shit had me hella fucked up, bruh, I was seein mad crazy shit yo." Nothing about "who am I, where am I, what am I doing here and what does it all mean?"

She comes to our house telling us shit she doesn't like that her dad does, and vice versa at his house. And he's so dumb that he then goes blowing up my wife's phone about the shit that he believes a 13 yr old child says.

  • @Belznis

I am not an expert, but I was reading that with every generation the parents just want their kids to do better than they did. Just look back at Victorian times or even before, only upper classes really could afford good education and those kids would be often spoiled. Majority of regular people just had to work hard. If you look around the world, in some places it is still the same. Just because a certain place has it better does not mean that it is a general statistic. Then again, what do I know about it, maybe it is a tendency with newer generations, but I do not think it is a bad thing, supposedly it comes and goes. One thing for sure, good education for everyone does make a change.
