I'm 67 now but was raised in Sonora, Columbia & Tuolumne CA since 4 years old.
Thank you for this video.
Even though I live in Merced I haven't been home in over 30+ years.
Columbia & my mountains were my favorite & I think I've climbed every rock & tree in Tuolumne County lol.
I was always exploring & looking for old mines & other finds.
@@terribethreed8464 Of course! I'm so happy that it brought you back some memories. I just saw this comment because the reply's to comments show up in a different section. :)
Lived in calaveas most all my life. I would go to all the places you showed over and over never got old. I miss my golden foothills.
Aww what a beautiful home!
Oh you have to share about the 4/5 mile hike around PineCrest! We do it all the time. All ages do. I live in Sonora. Love the hike around the lake. And Lyons Dam which has hikes too! We have lots to do here. ❤
Ooh that sounds wonderful!!! Thanks for sharing!

My grandma lives in the neighborhoring town called soulsbyville. It snows alot there, so we visit alot :)
Another "local". I'm up here in arnold
I went to soulsbyville elementary in the late 70s. It had its charms thankful to have got the hell out.
I grew up here and was at Pinecrest every weekend as a kid. I miss it
I'm from Hughson but when we have our away football games here I like to just explore the town in my free time and it's beautiful.

I never realized indigeny was so close to home! Thank you!
No problem! You should visit and take a picnic! It’s a cool atmosphere and great cider of course! 😁
thank you!!! i lived in Sonora for a few years as a young girl and I remember all of those places, but barely. it was nice to see everything in one video. We ate at the Strawberry Inn often. I remember the population of Strawberry was only 2 back then. My parents always joked that it was Mr. and Mrs. Strawberry.
Aww that's so cute ! Of course! I'm glad it brought you back some good memories. It's such a beautiful place!
Yay, it's great to see a video from you! Sonora looks beautiful! I haven't heard of it before, but it looks like my kind of place. It looks very tranquil and fun!
Pinecrest Lake looks absolutely amazing. I can almost smell pine trees when I am watching that video...
Aww thank you! I have some pine essential oil it’s the best!
You should see it in person, its spectacular. Went there dozens of times as a kid, skied at nearby dodge ridge every wednesday with school. $3 for lift ticket, rentals, lessons, and lunch.
I suppose price has gone up a bit.
Downtown Sonora though!! SO cool!! How beautiful is this place!

@@JamieBanksTravel this it is a lovely place
Been to visit a small house. Mark Twain. Beautiful ❤️ Trees there are beautiful and great hiking everywhere. Hate the forest fires though.
Glad you had a nice trip!! Yes that is so unfortunate. Wish that wasn’t such a problem in California.
Has it been a real problem in that area?
I’m wondering the same thing. That area is where I plan to retire one day.
I wanna go back to california sooo bad!!
You totally should !!!
Been up here my whole life
What a nice place to live!
@@JamieBanksTravel Riley is my school friend!
Old Town Columbia
Jamie what's your favorite wine? I notice that you often use footage of you holding a glass
That Columbia State Historic Park reminds me of the old wild west of Tucson bound.
Candle dipping? Skinny dipping is more fun!
Sonora would be a great weekend getaway, if it doesn't remind me much of AZ....
My favorite wine currently is a cab sav from California. I also really like wine from Argentina cuz I want to go there! Always red. 😊 interesting it is similar to Arizona, it’s an old town. I love old towns!
@@JamieBanksTravel Me too!
@@denisemayosky1955 awesome! great minds think alike!

I've lived here in Tuolumne Co my entire life and still reside were all these locations are 15 - 30 minutes away from me
Hello!!
Hi how’s it going today?
I live right next to indigeny. Every area of indigeny shown in this video I’ve set foot on
That’s awesome! It’s a cool area. Do you like their cider?
@@JamieBanksTravel Although I’m answering your question 2 years later, I’m too young to drink their cider. I was 15 when I commented that lol
From San Mateo to Sonora California how many miles is it
I bought two cabins out in Sonora back in the 90's, it's a beautiful place!
My daughter asked if I could sell one of the properties in order to pay off her college debt and i said no way Jose!
I'm keeping both properties and I don't even go there much anymore! Oh Geez kids! ;-)~
That’s wonderful you have two cabins! What a nice place. :)
Sonora is the name of a city in mexico
Yes! Never been there though !
IM miving up there, looking for houses as we speak
Ooh best of luck!
Ghost hunting. Jamestown and columbia
Ooh that sounds fun!
I have proof that God does exist. Pray this prayer: “Lord God, Jesus Christ, and Holy Ghost, if there is anything you want me to do for this person, and if there is anything this person is trying to tell me, show it to me. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus Christ name I pray. Amen.”
If your gonna visit please don't trash our forest's that's all I ask.
Leave only footprints, take only photographs. 🌲
@@JamieBanksTravel YES!
Sonora Is a state of Mexico..
Yes I would like to go someday!
