ULTIMATE NAMM NIGHT Dancers: OLGA ATTACK and APRIL SHOWERS Видеоклипы
eatem and smile.........skyscraper.......... have never left my cd rotation, 2 fkn masterpieces!!!!!!!
This is a constant reminder that they are, and will always be one of the greatest musicians alive. Sheehan, Bissonette, and Vai.
You forgot paul gilbert😊
Theses guys made 1988 the best year of my life. 🇺🇸
Sheehan's got the best spot on stage to view the stage candy
Jeff Scott Soto 👍👍
Went to Berklee with Steve. His band was called Morning Thunder. Now for sure like I always said he would be, A Guitar God. Billy Sheehan is a freak of nature bass God. Love those guys
Yes, glad Joe Satriani was there to teach Stevie.
Damn, Gregg Bissonette is still a beast!
Steve Vai's solo for Shy Boy is still one of the f*cking best!!!!
Agree, it’s a masterpiece of chaos and shred!
all day brother
When Steve Vai starts soloing, he transports me somewhere else... so happy to be able to watch and hear this. I love these soundscapes from Vai and like Frank Zappa... both had something really interesting to say when they soloed.... I mention Zappa beause I see Thomas Nordegg back there, god bless him.
When Vai leans back into his rock chops, the planets align and Zeus spits thunder. The DLR band was the absolute pinnacle of the 80's.
This needs to be a band again ,call Ralph, get him to sing and name it whatever and go ! Steve Vai rules!
Gregg Bissonnette is tearing it up on this, what a monster on drums!
Is that confirmed, Greg, on the drums?
@@jasondownsnet
Yes that's him, I heard that AVH, Vai, Sheehan and Gregg will be playing DLRs last 5 shows at the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas.
@@anthonymitchell2354 awe; I wish I picked up tickets when they first went on sale. Now they are in the thousands, which is good for Dave.
Saw in 87 Charlotte
@Topjunkie Yep...and a North Texas Jazz Lab Band grad ta boot...many of the best are from there.
Shame Roth wasn’t there. He’s the guy responsible for this super group. Of course the haters would bash his vocals since he’s not in his 20’s anymore. He’s still the greatest showman that ever lived. Especially during the Van Halen era.
DLR is a shambles now. Yeah, great frontman in the day, but he was singing like a drunk at a karaoke bar with VH during their last tour.
I don’t think Dave’s ego could handle that his sidemen, no matter how handpicked they were by him, would be the ones who are getting all the attention! 😂
@@adryanrockenbach6772 Dave can't sing anymore and VH 's last tour proved it.
For sure. Roth is responsible for so many singers in bands that want to put on a great show. I think it is worth also stating the Jeff Scott soto can still songs his ass off and he is 55. That's not a burn against Roth.
Let's be honest. It sounded good because he wasn't singing
Waouhhh!😮
Fantastic, incredible!!
how lucky you were to see this concert. I love these guys: Jeff, Steve, Billy, Greg 😍🤩. Thanks for this video.
Chris 🇫🇷
Wow! Billy and Steve would have to have the best Chemistry between Bass and Lead ever . They feed off of each other like 2 Ravenous Wolves attacking fucken Bambi ! Great upload !
Steve Vai’s Shy Boy solo floored me. Still bad ass after all these years. Then the guitar & bass duel with Billy Sheehan. Bring the great 80’s rock back!!!
Shy Boy solo is my least favorite , his others are much much better .
Never forget what a beast Vai is. His playing is crazy next reality level.
I remember seeing The David Lee Roth Band on their Skyscraper tour, and they were just absolutely amazing!
Same but Billy left by then :(
Amazing!! Thank you, thank you for sharing!!!
Saw the Eat 'em and Smile tour back in the day. So relentless and memorable!!
Very blessed to have seen this line up with DLR in the 80’s!
Extra points for opening with Tie Your Mother Down. I saw the Eat'em and Skyscraper tours several times and this takes me back.
I was there front row. Was amazing
Tour already. This band is amazing.
Vai and Sheehan are such a relentless pair. Whatever their reputation...they deserve more. So accomplished separately and so perfect together.
don't leave out greg on the drums.
I don’t love any Vai albums just bits of them but I really love him. He’s just an axe legend who I would love to see playing with all my hero’s like May, Page, Iommi.
Carisma total,pegada animal, técnica perfeita..Vai♥️
Gregg Bissonette, "Legendario" y "Tesoro Humano Vivo" a la vez👏.
🙏🥁Maestro🥁🙏.
Saludos desde Chile🇨🇱
Master musicians who don't need cheap dancers on stage with them.
I have never been less interested having a pretty girl dancing in front of me
Man after all these years vai is still a complete beast on the guitar
Stuart Rowe one of the absolute best players of all time .
That's why he's trying to play Brian May. Sounded ok
I wish we could see this band reunite for tours. It would be incredible
R.I.P. Brett Tuggle (1951-2022)
I went to both eatem and smile and sky scraper concerts. Great entertainment.
That would be great if they composed and record another great album together.
God I wish I could have been there to see this in person .
Killer that lineup needs to tour
Vai y Sheehan nacieron para tocar juntos
Is it just me or is billy never seem to age??
He was always an old man!
always looked in his 50's
He actually looks better older, suits him more.
The girls at the front look tukkered out. Awesome music.
Man I wish the sound quality was better they are killing it!
SO SHWEEEETTT...much love Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO.[the music worldwide}
and sooooo cool!!!!
RIP Brett Tuggle
The Moment you realize that Tie Mother Down is a super heavy song written almost 10 years before Roth stuff and fits perfectely.
It's one of the greatest songs and they did it pretty well
This I feel is when Steve and Billy are at their best!
These guys are the best damn DLR "Eat 'em and Smile" tribute band, EVER! Them guitar and bass players even look just like Sheehan and Vai. "Abso-F(*&^%g-lutely" Amazing!
hahaha
Holy Sht , it's the bass player from Talas :)
Only OG metal heads know what you're talking about!
Eddie and Alex were pissed when Dave got Billy and Steve to play in his band. Killer band they were.
John Vlaho We're they? They spoke to you about it?
John Vlaho
Van Halen had no reason to be pissed ..Any band with Roth is ultimately doomed
John Vlaho Ed and Al be pissed because that band decimated them!
Joe Gonzalez Sure but VH was ridin' pretty high at the time. Considering that, I question whether they would've been too concerned with what was happening with DLR.....But I sure would've liked to have been in the room the first time Ed heard Eat Em' And Smile.
Gtr Matt Indeed, although the fact remains that member to member The Eat ‘em and smile band decimates the Van Hagar line up. Greg Bissonette decimates Alex, Billy Sheehan decimates Mike, Steve Vai decimates EVH, the only edge they had was that Hagar decimates Roth!
These guys were awesome together with DLR saw em twice
great stuff here
Its a real shame EVH dont/wont do stuff like this and keep himself relevant. Vai does an awesome job of staying out there an keeping it fresh.
Leon Mohan as much as i love eddie, hes a shadow of his former self. Saw them live in like 2012 and it was awful. Have seen vai many times and it makes you wanna just stop playing guitar
EVH doesn't need to,Vai's the priest,EVH the pope,period
he's currently fighting for his life with cancer, bud..but i know what you mean..he could have attended NAMM when he was healthier, but didn't.
Believe & Achieve it’s a shame but he’s made all the money he needs and that’s enough for him
@@realdealio1
(RIP EVH🥺🙏)
Love !!!
GOOD WORK, YOUNG LADY!
Thank you, Johnny. Means a lot coming from you.
Billy Steve Gregg ..god trio
what a band🤩
Brett Tuggle playing keyboards, great friend. From a band Headfirst, mid seventies, Colorado, Good Times
RIP
hey this was a great reunion
Dance mama!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Where is uncle dave ?
Good work!
How can old man play the guitar and bass like this..!!! Such a monster player 🤘🤘
These 3 men stormed the world in ‘86 cutting heads and leaving no prisoners. They still got it!
Lady, move, I’m trying to see the band lol
Right ? With music like this we dont need the grandmas. Thats got to be the same dancer that was dancing during the Eat em and smile tour. She obviously forgot mot of the moves
Bissonette FTW!!!
That's it I'm turning my 🎸 into a ☕️ table. 😃
Motley Crue called. They want their chicks back.
Who the hell cares about motley crue
@@dantedlane2 I do
I know. Get the fucking whores off the stage.
Awsome
Awesome
Glad Joe Satriani was around to teach Stevie how to play. Respect to both.
yeahhh!! shyboy awesome
Eat Em' and Smile Band....
Ha!!! Love It!!!
Bet Dave ain't smile'n about that performance!!!
2019. Dancing Girl vs DLR. Know where my vote is going! 🤣
I hope you’re talking about DLR
One makes you shake your head. The other makes you jerk it
A reunion of david... Greg.... God vai... God sheehan..... That would top it all
Ash Angel - Dave can’t sing anymore.
Main artist: dancing girl
The best song I’ve seen!!
I love Billy and Steve but I’m completely distracted by that dancing girl! 🥰
@@bunchypea
It is quite apparent that Billy has a sheepish grin on his face watching those buns shaking in front of him🔥👀😂
@@stephencahill174 Yet he doesn’t miss a note, I’d be all over the place! 😄
Perfect performance
Man i would love this band tour with or without Dave
I seen them live in Cleveland in 88 with Roth on the Skyscraper Tour
Bissonette and Vai were in that band, but Sheehan left before the tour - it was Gregg's brother Matt on bass.
Can you F E E L The POWER BaBy!! 👊👊😁 And the BROADS ain't too bad Either !!😘
Vai = Nice Guy
Vai is a gem of a human being .
Отлично !
Jack Butler ftw!
Roth please!
It's peaking now and then...
What song is it that they go into at 7:45? I know they play "Tie Your Mother Down" and "Shy Boy" before that, but I don't recognize that part unless it's some kind of extended outro jam that they decided to throw into this version of "Shy Boy".
Awesome to see them playing
Steve’s hand looks elastic! 😮
Would love to hear a good recording of this.
There is, it's on Day at the Races
最強タッグ❤️
Would love to see these three do something extended for us more than any other redo’s currently contemplating…just wish Roth could still sing, but with any singer that can lay it down it would be exceptional. Just sayin.
Wow
Vai is an 👽
MrRewski830 no one like him, ever. Real #1
Awesome! but why the dancing girls?? it's not a football game. weird. but yes to the DLR band getting back together!
DLR's ego couldn't keep his best solo band together longer than two albums one tour.
It's nice to see Steve play rock and roll again, he is definitely one of the greatest guitarist to ever walk the planet, but the last few years has music has just been a little too far out there, when the music gets too complex it loses its soul and feel. It's nice to see him jam out to something like this and do those awesome fills he used to do.And man those FINGERS!He was destined to play guitar with those spider fingers lol!
I wonder why they covered Queen instead of something from the album "Eat "Em and Smile" with David Lee Roth?
Vai and sheeham is allways Safe bet
Roth didn't know how great he had it. Eat'em And Smile was way better than 5150.
Surfs Up
That is just your opinion...Eat 'm and Smile sold a little over 1 million copies where as 5150 sold a little over 6 million copies !
That doesn't make it a better album. Fair Warning sold much less than it's predicesors and it's a fan favorite ( and Edward's ).
@@surfsup5757
lol 6 million+ sales verses 1 million+ sales says it was a lot more appealing to at least 6 times as many people..Plus thre were more hits on 5150 ..There are 3 maybe 4 good tunes on Eat'em and Smile and the rest were shit..the entire 5150 album is palatable..Don't pull the "fan favorite" or "artists favorite" B.S. because sales tell the whole story..
Surfs Up Roth fucked it up big time !
5150 was commercialism.....Eat'em was just plain ole punch'em in tha face musicianship.
So, looking back on this band, was there anything Dave could have done to keep them together, or do you think it was inevitable that Billy and Steve went elsewhere...Remember, leaving this band, Steve went to Whitesnake and then recorded his Passion And Warfare album, and Billy went to Mr. Big...Would those musical time lines have been messed with if Dave had found a way to lock those guys down through maybe 1992?
Dan Dearborn I believe Steve left to do Passion and Warfare which was finished before the Whitesnake thing began. Coverdale offered him so much money that he agreed to delay P & W and finish Slip of the Tongue and tour. That being said, I don't think there's any way DLR could've kept that band together. Actually, it's impressive he kept those guys on board for the 2nd album and tour. 3rd album would've been great but I really like the album with Jason Becker.
Whats with the dancers at the wrong party....?
They're at the right party, just 3 days late
Why the dancers?
Huh? Rock ‘n’ roll and beautiful girls go hand-in-hand. 🔥😝🤘🏻🇺🇸🎸
Because stupidity.
That was dancing?
They’re for us red blooded heterosexual men. That’s why.
Why not!!? They fittin to boogy!!!
Im probably the only person who thinks the dancers were in the way
Hey was that Paul zablidowsky announcing band members?
