I was looking forward to this video! Did you have to lower the car too? My mechanic was hesitant to put on the rear toe arms unless I chose to lower it.
No the car isn’t lowered at this point 👍 your mechanic isn’t wrong, it’s even more effective over the bump steer caused due to lowering. However even at standard ride height the benefits of increasing camber and still achieving the toe in are felt and even more so the increase in cornering stability due to removing the rubber bush that is in the OEM arm 👍 definitely a worth while upgrade for you. Thanks for the comment! That’s awesome and thanks very much! All of our product customers get a free setup sheet bespoke to their use of the car and based upon what geometry altering parts they are buying from us 👍 if you’ve bought some of our parts (or are buying them) just pop us an email and we will send you a full setup sheet to aim for 👍
Absolutely no NVH. We have spent a long time finding the right bearings to ensure we can deliver the performance without introducing additional noises into the car. They’re perfect for the street and are currently on the M3 which is used very frequently on the roads 👍
In the process of selling my m2 and going back to an f8x platform. Planning on getting your full handling kit. What would be your move regarding the understeer coming back in from Turn 1. How would you adjust to remove that for someone that would favour an oversteer setup as opposed to any understeer…would it be less toe at the back or more camber at the front or something else like arbor etc?
That’s awesome and thanks very much! Our next step is the solution to dialling that back out. We will be fitting our solid front caster bush to the car which will solve the remaining understeer as it will provide more camber on lock without having to add any statically. It’s always a balancing game as you add upgrades but with the caster bushes fitted alongside the toe arms and camber plates the chassis will return to the neutral balance we are looking for tending towards oversteer when pushing on 👍 and still perfectly useable on the roads.
@@BmwM140iClubsport it depends on your rim diameter. We have a conversion chart within one of our articles which we have linked here for you 👍 suspensionsecrets.co.uk/how-to-align-your-car/
I have looked ad your chart. I have a m140i with 9j squared setup 255/35/18. Front -3 camber with -0.12 total toe out so -0.06 each side in front. 1mm toe out iff i look at your chart. And in rear -2.2 camber with 0.06 total toe in witch is 0.03 on each side. 0.5mm toe in on your chart. Is that a good aglinment for track use?
Hey Daniel, thanks for the comment! For the G87 M2 there are two main upgrades (that still work perfectly on the roads) that will work in conjunction with your coilovers. First our front solid caster bush for the front control arms. This really improves steering positivity and makes the front end much sharper, also reducing understeer. Then our rear toe arms to allow more camber at the rear axle to be used (as they are quite lacking as standard) and they also tighten up the rear nicely without increase noise or NVH whatsoever 👍 There is more you can do but these two upgrades are a really nice starting point. shop.suspensionsecrets.co.uk/collections/bmw-g87-m2
Do you also recommend the toe lock out kits?

Do these add any NVH? Would you recommend them for a car that still does street duties?

How much camber and toe in are you running on the rear?
For this video the rear axle had -2 rear and 2mm toe in 👍 we will be increasing rear camber as we develop the upgrades 👍
Howmuch is 2mm toe in? 0.20 on a hunter machine?

For someone with a G87 M2 with coil overs (kwv3), what would you guys recommend the next main area to address? Front control arm bushing?
