  • No major political figure has had more recent experience trying to negotiate a two-state solution than Tzipi Livni. As we approach the Hebrew calendar anniversary of the darkest day in recent Jewish history, Tzipi Livni joins Justin to discuss her experience, her reflections after one year, and what is possible for the future of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
    Tzipi Livni has served in eight different cabinet positions under three prime ministers: Ariel Sharon, Ehud Olmert, and Benjamin Netanyahu. Her positions have included Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Justice. She has also been the official Leader of the Opposition.
    As foreign minister, Tzipi Livni led negotiations with the Palestinian Authority; she was a key government figure during Israel’s disengagement from Gaza and during Hamas’ subsequent takeover of Gaza. She was foreign minister during Israel’s Second Lebanon War and during Israel's operation to take out Syria’s nuclear reactor. She is widely regarded as one of the most influential women in Israel since Golda Meir.

      The Jews were not ethnically cleansed. They had settled there in violation of international law and their illegal settlements were dismantled. This, incidentally, was part of a wider plan to accelerate the construction of illegal settlements in the West Bank. It is in fact Palestinians who have been routinely and systematically ethnically cleansed from various parts of historic Palestinian. This is happening again as we speak in Northern Gaza where the Israelis are in effect attempting to starve out an entire civilian population.

For the past several centuries at least, and all the way up to the present day, the West Bank has been overwhelmingly Palestinian/Arab, yet Palestinians are denied sovereignty and self-determination there. “Arafat didn’t accept”
    Have you ever considered it wasn’t a fair deal and that Israel doesn’t come to the table as equal partners?

    • @loanranger12
      @loanranger12 3 месяца назад +1

      @ You prove yourself to be uninformed by your response. Arafat had no intentions of making a deal, just like Sinwar didn’t. And if I did want to give you the benefit of the doubt, why start suicide bombing the people you’re making a deal with. Here’s the real answer that fits the situation. Arafat was given everything he asked for. But according to the Koran, if he makes a deal with infidels, he will be considered an infidel as well, and he’d be dead in a few weeks, if not sooner. Realizing he’s backed into a corner, he needs a very strong distraction, to make it look like Israel/USA pulled a fast one. A terrifying response will cause the people he purports to represent, to believe Arafat’s version of the story. Ever notice that when the Israelis give up land for peace, they get attacked? Ever notice that when they are in a cease fire with the Arabs, like on Oct 6, 2023, they get attacked the next day? Ever notice that the Arabs don’t take any responsibility for their poor decisions, and instead fabricate a narrative that blames Israel? Ever wonder why the leadership of the so called Palestinians are billionaires? This shows a blatant disregard for the electorate they supposedly represent. Ever notice that their leaders are Egyptian, and not Palestinians? Ever wonder why there’s no shelters for non-Hamas individuals? Even Adolph Hitler had shelters for the German people to hide in. Ever botice how much aid has gone into Gaza, and yet somehow it never reaches the Gazan people, and then find out that the UN relief convoy food finds it way into Arab markets, up for sale, with Hamas pocketing the shekels? How can any one with any common sense place the blame on Israel? It’s their land and they can live anywhere they please on their land. They’re willing to share it with peaceful people, but Arabs who Islam has indoctrinated, aren’t willing to share. They’re convinced it’s their land. And if it was, they wouldn’t share it with Jews. They don’t want to share East Jerusalem with Jews. This isn’t the 7th century any longer. Can a Jew walk into a mosque? Are there synagogues in most Arab lands? Of course not. It’s time for Palestinian Arabs to accept that they are nothing but trouble, and their association with Western leftists isn’t working out in their favor. If you want peace, either settle down, or move to a country that’s all Muslim and not a democracy. If you don’t like democracy, please leave. If you want to stay, then shut up and stop trying to force your will on people. Share your existence rather than pushing your way of life on others. You had your chance for a state, and instead you didn’t say a word about tunnels being built with the international donations. No one feels sorry for you anymore. The world is wising up to the decades of deception and wasted taxpayers’ money from the West.
