I'll tell you right now... When we're 5 to 10 years in to Halo infinite's return to modesty in regards to movement, we'll eventually look back at Halo 5 in amazement. At how it perfected the "advanced movement" era, the bold and sweaty plays it encouraged. As others have commented here, Halo 5 is generally looked at as a dissapointment, but I just know that we'll go back and appreciate this gem in the future.

It’s been a long ride, but I’m glad the wait for infinite is almost over. Crazy to think we’ve had 6 years with halo 5! I know this game will likely go down in history as a disappointment, but this was one of the best competitive gaming experiences of all time imo. The sheer intensity of each game was so exhilarating, both from a player and a spectator’s POV. So many memories to even fathom! All hours of grinding to high onyx, getting farmed in war zone, losing my voice when the CLG / Optic / Tox squad would win… I’m forever in halo 5s debt.

I understand the appeal. But this isn't what halo was based on. Advanced movement wasn't the right thing for halo. 343 was smart to leave this system behind. H5 is a great game with an amazing multiplayer. But it's a terrible HALO game.

I know it’s not a popular opinion but I think advanced movement in COD and Halo made it more fun and made gameplay exciting to play & watch.
