I love your reading of this, the parellels you drew, especially with Tolkien's work, are great.
When reading it, I noticed that one of the Wonder Warriors is named Finarkin, too similar to Finarfin, Galadriel's father, to be a coincidence in my opinion. I would have loved to learn whether Jack Kirby read JRR Tolkien and what he thought of it, I imagine it would be right down his alley.
Captain Victory deserves more attention, a nice collection would be good too.

I had no idea of the power of Captain Victory. I had taken it as a footnote in the twilight of the King’s career. I have a few random issues. I must revisit this epic! Thank you for pointing the spotlight at this forgotten powerhouse.
Victory really does favor his father. But he went with his uncle Thor's haircut. And I can definitely see Thor and Orion as brothers or first cousins.
