Because of the climate change, it makes sense to investigate and develop new things with an eye for carbon emission, energy use etc. In the past those things were not an issue. In this way battling the climate change is also a chance for development. If you are not stuck in the past, there are plenty of opportunities. New technologies, new jobs. Factories, houses have to be rebuild/adapted. Transportation has to be redeveloped and implemented. Some products will disappear and replaced by other products.
