Hey great video was wondering if the mic is part of the humbucker, such as the fishman rare earth blend pickup. or is it separate pickup all together ? Thanks
Interesting. I'm trying to figure out how Jon is using the LS-2 to mix 3 different signals. I'm not familiar enough with it, but it seems like the LS-2 is limited to 2 inputs.
when he says "only the humbucker goes thru the overdrive".. I guess you got your answer ;) so the LS-2 mix 2 signals.. the one from the mic, and the one from the bridge ;) while the one from the humbucker never goes thru the LS-2, but directly to the distortion pedal. hope this helps ;)
Jason Swanson I'm assuming the microphone doesn't go into it because he doesn't want a distorted microphone signal. So It would be the 2 pickups becoming one signal.
I´ve read he uses the Fishman Rare Earth Blend, that is a hybrid of pick up + a condenser mic!.. now, that should give him only 2 outputs from his guitar.. (1 from this Fishman, + 1 from the bridge pickup) and not 3 as he says in this vid!.. so maybe Im wrong with the Fishman. other mic could be the K&K Trinity Systems ;)
+Nathan Morais Hi Nathan - if I remember correctly, he uses the Fishman Rare Earth Blend magnetic pickup with an internal mic, wired to two separate outputs.
+Patrick Robichaud Digital Delays use a LOT of power - you would be wise to invest in a mains power unit for it, because you will only get a few hours out of a 9V battery
Disclaimer; buying these pedals won't make you as good as Jon Gomm
+Invius UK LOL, so true!
Pedals are on my Christmas list this year. And a board, too.
Boss should re-release those Eqs
Brian Cullen Parametric EQs should still be available from BOSS.
+Brian Cullen And they would probably sell them twice the price lol cause VINTAGE REISSUE! lol

Sorry Jon, I just bought one of the few remaining PQ-3Bs! Im not coming off of it either! :D
Got a question for Mr Gomm... What is the microphone that you use inside your guitar for percussion? :)
don't wanna sound prejudiced, (but i'm gonna sorry) obviously :P
metalrulezU He meant "what microphone is it?", not "is it for percussion?"

Legal!
Does he really only use BOSS pedals?
+Eduarde Chaotee No He Does Also use Some other Pedals I Believe He Changes his pedals to what sound he thinks is best for his sound.
I have the same delay from boss dd7 I loved it but the battery die so I need a new battry

gonna sound like an idiot but what is the song in the background while he is explaining the pedals?
+Nathan Prentice Ain't Nobody (Chaka Khan)
+Nathan Prentice It's Gomm's version of Chaka Khan's Ain't nobody
