    Of course, playing a musical instrument uses all of your body, mind and soul. Jon is a good example of this pursuit, art, and evolution.

    With a band, there's more of a possibility of disagreements with band mates; whereas by himself, there's no tension in disagreeing with your own ideas.

    I love the fact Jon is from my home town, I had the chance to sit and chat with him out side a pub in fleet wood and he's a really nice guy and willing to chat to any of his fans :) amazing work Jon keep it up man!!

    Absolutely astounding what one man can do with a guitar. And guitarists all over the world owe musicians such as this so much, they really pave the way. Also the fact that they are willing to give master classes is fantastic, it allows other musicians to gain some insight into the genius they possess.
    Please don't stop creating music which makes my jaw drop every time I hear it.

    his approach to guitar/drums/percussion/songwriting is just astounding. A year ago I saw his Passionflower video, and it changed how I viewed the instrument and it's musical limitlessness forever. :)

    It's all very well, Jon, for you to explain how your guitar is a drum kit, but that doesn't explain your outrageous talent!!

    • @bennemann
      @bennemann 8 лет назад +6

      He does. He says he began playing guitar at four. It's not so much innate talent as it is hard work, all his life, since the tenderest age.

    • @oggaming7362
      @oggaming7362 5 лет назад +1

      The word talent undermines the action of a lifetime of dedicated practice. He's been playing guitar since he was 4.

    la tua arte nella chitarra è intensa e ricca di sfumature, ciò amplia di tanto le potenzialità della chitarra come strumento armonico e percussivo, credo davvero che la tua sia la strada giusta da percorrere, che in qualche modo unisce il passato più profondo con il futuro prossimo di questo strumento. complimenti.

    The wobbling is because of post-process image stabilization. You can see the Tech logo in the top right dancing around because of it. It keeps Jon's guitar stable so we can see what he's doing, but distorts the background. Still though, great vid.

      drumstik The tuning he uses is Eb, G, Bb, F, G, Bb
      BUT! you may want to use it a whole tone higher, F, A, C, G, A, C It'll work better with normal strings then

    Wow I have been doing percussive stuff on guitar for about two years now. I have to say his approach is the cleanest I have ever seen. Realm the only problem I can see is it requires a little more equipment. I have to say in terms of caliber he is the best guitarist I have ever seen.

    Sheeeeiiittttt! This is taking multi-tasking to a scary level! I think I'm doing well just fingerstyling a sequence of chords in the right order! Thing is, this doesn't come across as a gimmick, ,it sounds really good, he's definitely up there with Tommy Emmanuel but I've never heard of him before?

    playing guitar like this kinda seems like a cult thing to me, seeing as how Ive been searching for months on a place to get some solid advice and structured lessons on this style and have found very little. so many people want to learn but cant unless they go to berkley or some other crazy expensive academic hall. you are a very good teacher sir perhaps you should make a dvd set or something to fully enlighten others who would enjoy this gift as much as you.
