- Change is always difficult, and the website is not particularly easy to navigate, but it is much faster and easier and cheaper to pay the quarterly taxes online. It’s nice because you get instant feedback that everything worked. If you go through the mail you have to wait for your certified return receipt to come back. Once you’ve used the online method a few times, you'll get more familiar with their system and it’ll run a little smoother.
homegirl really came through in my time of need. these articles explaining are so confusing. thank you ma'am!
Forreal forreal🎉
This is so helpful. I'm a new business owner and all this stuff is very intimidating. I want to get ahead of my taxes not fall behind so learning taxes plus all the other duties that demand my attention all has been a headache and nightmare. I'll rest a little better now knowing I now have the information and knowledge to get ahead of all these apparent obligations😒
Oh I take back my initial thoughts..... it seems I jumped the gun and enrolled in EFTPS too quick when all I needed was this video to clear the mud. Thank you.
Thank you!! I was scrambling to figure out HOW to make this payment. I looked all over, thank you for sharing this information!!!
"It's nice because you get instant feedback that everything worked." From the IRS directly!
Your site deserves way more views!
Thank you live free! Finally paid my 4 months late 2nd quarter estimated taxes thanks to your video! Did not feel like hiring a tax person to do it for me like last time so I did not pay.... but I finally did now. Thanks again
Short and sweet! I went through 40 minute BS videos and was just looking for this!
Randomly had this in my recommend, your freaking amazing I was looking for this the other week.

Thanks! This was a great informative video!
Great video. Wish you would have kept going :)
Thank you very much, very easy to understand :)
Thank you so much for the video!
Thank you so much for confirming the, "The Year For Verification".
I was so confused!
✨Thank you so much this really helped!!!!!✨
I love it. Thank you
Thanks! How do I do itemized deductions? Is this also quarterly or at the end of the year?
Thank you so much!
When you pay is a 1040 generated? Or does one have to make that for himself/herself?
Nice video! I used the Direct Pay method for the first time. The payment cleared my bank. I used the IRS Payment Lookup and it shows a Payment Status of "Orginated". Does this confirm that the IRS recevied the payment? Should I see another status such as "Confirmed" or "Received".
Thank you miss.
Hero status!
Thank you so much.🌷
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but do we need to pay federal estimated tax payments and state estimated tax payments? Or do we just pay one (4 times a year)? I assume you paid the federal estimated tax in the video to irs.gov. Do we also need to pay State estimated tax?
Your state and federal taxes are completely different. Your state might have a stagnant rate or a tax bracket or if your lucky, pay no state tax at all.
I'm still a little confused with the whole concept of quarterly payments. Do I have to pay quarterly payments on top of federal, state, and self-employed taxes? Or does quarterly payment cover federal tax so I can skip paying federal taxes?
Do I have to pay quarterly tax to my state(CA) as well at a different website?
Thank you!!
Thank you!
If I pay my 100ES quarterly taxes, how should I record these quarterly transactions in QB? Would it be 100ES “Expense”, or would it be Owners Withdraw? TIA!
You Rock!! Thanks
👍👍
Hi, can this method be used as an employer? I am trying to pay estimated federal taxes for my son’s nanny, which I withhold from each paycheck. I have an employer number but it’s not clear on how to distinguish that I’m trying to pay taxes for my nanny.
You rock, thank you!
Thanks.
What If you never payed taxes before what date would you put for the tax year for verification.
Thank u so much
So how do we put the breakdown for federal, social security and Medicare amounts? Or this is done by thr IRS?
Do you get a verification number once you have completed your entry or how do you get a record showing you have paid a certain amount
this would be my first time having to do quarterly payments because this is my first year being self employed so what exactly would choosing a past tax year do for me???
Someone pls answer this 😩
If it’s your first year as self employed you are allowed NOT to file quarterly taxes. I’m NOT a tax expert but there is a CPA RUclipsr that mentioned that. I’m just been the messenger. Look it up further .
@@safetyhomeloans950 I have heard that too. But I would not count on it so I decided to pay anyways.
I am in the same boat rn!! What did you end up doing?
And when this is done, will the IRS provide me with a tax form or paperwork to file with my return, in case of overpayment?
Will it be a digital file or mailed to me?
I just scheduled my first payment for April. My question is do I need to follow the same steps for June,September and January payment or will they automatically take it out
That’s a good question because I am about to pay mine on the 18th April and have 3 more installments to make in the future months. Was wondering the same thing.
what if i never paid taxes before? 1st time worker as an individual?
Can I make an estimated payment if I've never filed a tax return?
There is a catch-22 question..... they say "you can but you have to file the forms too" ... sorry, not helpful but hopefully you already figured it out.... or not and by this time, you will have filled for previous year and had to pay the actual taxes and the penalty but now you have the numbers and the stuff filed so you can get in "usual routine"
Am i required to mail the 1040ES if I pay it online?
Is there a fee for paying them "on-line"?
Is this for business or personal?
Great video! Is this saying I can pay directly to the IRS knowing i will probably owe the next year?? Yes definitely in excess of 1k
Yep, that's correct . You can use this form www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040es.pdf to have a better idea - don't worry, this form is not to file and it's not super complicated- it is just to help you estimate the total tax for the year, then you make the quarterly payments.
Is there a way to set up and have it taken out weekly instead of logging in to pay quarterly
They'd need to know how much you made
what if new business this year and no history?
How to Report 1/4 tax of Agency that's with held since 2019
??? What if my husband died the previous year and now my income is different as well as the SS# being used? I cannot use previous year's account.
Ive tried this and they dont list the current year only prior years.
God bless you
We started a business in February of 2022 and only made 250 dollars in revenue, do we need to pay taxes on this amount? Thank you
One of the statements in there says that the limit is $1000 ... so if you made less.......
Can you make an updated video? The site has changed.
No it hasn’t. I did exactly what she said 5 minutes ago and had all the same things she said in the video. I was able to pay mine 😁
ok so I've been trying for 2 hrs now for my 4th quarter taxes and I'm having troubles with Verifying my Identity either by address or even SS#. anyone having this problem?
Is this for state taxes as well? Can someone direct me to NY state taxes for small business. Thank you
Funny thing is my daughter is trying to pay her estimated taxes for Q1 2021, but she only started filing taxes in 2020, and they don't have 2020 in their Tax year Verification drop down yet. Hmmm. Means she can't may until they populate 2020 in the drop down? It can't be this hard to give them money:)
Same thing happened to me
Ok so I can be a lil late on taxes"?
I thought only the Spanish government made it hard to do anything online, I see its a general issue.
UPDATE!!! The IRS just updated payment system and have created their very own free payment option called: Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS)
How do i know how much to pay ?
www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040es.pdf use this form to figure that out......
Hello
what a waste of time. doesnt even say how much you owe or if you even owe. i do the door dash thing and tried to see the amounts i owe and they dont even say. they just want the money out of your bank account and no answers to what i want
Welcome to the world of taxation.... taxation on your money.... you make money, Uncle Sam wants its share !!! Lucky for you, there are nice people who try to help but you have to help yourself... Fill in this form www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040es.pdf - it's not to file - it's just like a spreadsheet so you will know how much..... it's your way to say to the IRS that you expect to make this amount of money during the year... then you divide by 4 and there, you have how much you will pay every quarter.
Do let me know if anyone is looking for a free consultation from a tax expert of IRS also to see if you qualify for the "fresh start program".
GOD loves you enough to send HIS only SON to save you and if you repent and turn from your sins and be baptized in THE NAME OF THE FATHER, THE SON and THE HOLY SPIRIT. ((if you haven't )
Thank you!
Thank you!
