Love the multiple extra leads supplied. Should make the non-standard RadioMaster trainer socket even more unreliable than we have found it with a soldered wired cable! 😜😜😁😁

Keep in mind the extra leads are for the remotes, not for the RadioMaster - they are to adapt it's trainer plug to suit JR and Futaba ;) The WT01 looks to actually use the correct extended 3.5mm extended plug to match the jack they use, so it should work perfectly with their own gear.

@@pfeerick Yep. Keewrecked! Just hope that long 4-contact plug is better quality/better fit in the RadioMaster trainer socket than the Cliff Electronics plug and cables we bought for the job! An added gold-plated standard audio socket modded onto the Tx shoulder or a PPM receiver in the module bay to match your Student Radio worked a hell of a lot better! ;-) 1 more little lipo to go bad hardly a great idea also. :(

@@theoztreecrasher2647 yeah, I had to go bend the contacts on my two TX16Ss and TX12 so they would work with a normal trainer cable, but it will be interesting to see how long that holds up. Adding your own jack or using wireless is certainly the best workaround. I wouldn't be so concerned about the battery in the WT, as smaller 'appliance-use' batteries have tended to last a long time in my experience, plus you can probably just plug in a small power bank if its packing up. It'll certainly be interesting to see how it holds up to some use ;)

@@pfeerick Why for the Student TX ? The module plugs into the Master and then BINDS to the Student. The Student then transmits to the Module - which in turn passes commands to the Master TX. That's how I understand it - maybe someone who has one can confirm or not.
Online says : (quote)The WT01 aims to simplify the the process of setting up a training system between two radios and eliminate cumbersome cables. The WT01 simply connects to the trainer input of the master radio and binds to the student radio just like a receiver using D8, D16 or SFHSS protocols.
An included adapter cable set means you can use this system with most radios on the market compatible with these protocols.(unquote)

@@solentlifeuk Slip of the phone keyboard... I was not referring to student transmitters when I said remotes... I meant non-RM radios. Since it is the student radio that binds to it, since it is a basically a receiver outputting PPM into the trainer port. The adapter leads would let you use it with a JR or Futaba trainer port radio as the master, and your (TX16s or similar) as the student. Or you use it without the adapters directly on your TX16s, and need a D8/D16/SFHSS compatible radio as the student.

Fantastic tool for training -- or even to have a copilot on a second transmitter.

I got one from amazon. I just couldnt bind it. I tried it with Radiomaster TX16S and Jumper T-lite. Could this be a faulty unit? I tried each of the three protocols that it supports.
