Ugh, FrSky keeps making poor decisions apparently. Well, I've got my radio master on order. Happy to see that my X-lite can be a trainer for friends and family when they want to come with me and try their hand at flying
So its not something that the OpenTX community will be able to solve then? Such a shame. I have my X9D Plus 2019 and was hoping I could setup wireless trainer with my external module after seeing this video :-(
So I'm being stiffed by FrSky yet again. :-/ They're not a big company with a clueless following like Apple or Intel so why so they think people will put up with this? Oh well, I guess my X7 will be my last FrSky radio. Hello Radiomaster...
What a great video! I am not sure that I understand completely, but does it work like so: Radiomaster internal module talks to receiver on quad; external module on Radiomaster acts as a receiver for the trainee operating the Qx7 ? Very interesting that external multi module can bind to the Qx7, had no idea you could do that. 👍

If I get another FlySky radio in I'll give it a go. OpenTX 2.3.8 seems to have some improvements with this stuff from what I can see and it helped here to upgrade the multi-protocol module to the latest version of the firmware too.. Best of luck!

Just one question with this module, there is an option to fine tune for each make of receiver. How can you store that if the transmitter is turned off? Thank you
Is that mess caused by radiomaster or the open tx changes and improvements ? it looks easy - if you have that receipe you had developed with Radiomaster "Ben" I have ordered mine ... and hope to get it soon and running quickly cause I have to move the whole Jumper T16 fleet of receivers to the radiomaster which I had done just3 months ago coming from the X9D to Jumper T16 Pro Hall Gimbal to.
Do you know if the same hall gimbals used to mod the old taes is x9d will fit the tx16s? They look the same but could be different connectors I suppose. Seeing as the non hall model is in stock and I mod ed my old semi broken x9d i could just move them over.

Hope you can help me. I have jumper t16 pro v2 setup to kopilot I'm using mode 2 AETR. The motor will only start when over
half way up on throdle. any sugestions?
I watch just about all of your videos.
All I know about the setup of the Kopilot is in the series I made for it...Check what mode you're in and if the ESC i calibrated and connected propertly. I hope those videos showing how I set it up helps.. Best of luck
Hi I’m James, congrats on your videos very informative and to the point. I need a bit of help with connecting witless trainer with my TX16S, can you please advise how I set up trainer mode with FlyskyFSi6 transmitter with radio master TX16S as the trainer transmitter. I set up trainer mode on the TX16S but I don’t know what protocol I need to select for the fsi6 transmitter?
Not sure, I don't have one of those radios here and I've even downloaded and looked at the manual and still no clue. Best of luck with it
Just one question with this module, there is an option to fine tune for each make of receiver. How can you store that if the transmitter is turned off? Thank you
I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. Can you elaborate?
I understand there is a config file which will store any changes to the fine frequency tune. Only problem is that I'm unable to find it
How many channels can the trainer radio be assigned to? Just AETR or can the student also use switches?
Lots, see the trainer video linked in description... Best of luck
Is that mess caused by radiomaster or the open tx changes and improvements ?
it looks easy - if you have that receipe you had developed with Radiomaster "Ben"
I have ordered mine ... and hope to get it soon and running quickly cause I have to move the whole Jumper T16 fleet of receivers to the radiomaster which I had done just3 months ago coming from the X9D to Jumper T16 Pro Hall Gimbal to.
It's not a mess just very poorly documented by the Multiprorocol and Opentx teams.. Hence this video. Happy flying
Do you know if the same hall gimbals used to mod the old taes is x9d will fit the tx16s? They look the same but could be different connectors I suppose. Seeing as the non hall model is in stock and I mod ed my old semi broken x9d i could just move them over.
No idea sorry. If they do, let me know.
amazing. Thank you Lee.
Is it possible to do that on a taranis x9d+? Internal module to trainer d8 and using ext R9m to control the model?
Ps, what module are you using?
Should be with the right versions.. (Jumper JP4IN1)
Does this work binding spektrum to radiomaster
See note in description. Happy flying
Can you use this to set up a wireless PC link for simulators?
I've not tried - maybe. Let me know if you get it working! :D
What is your 4-in-1 module? Where can I purchase one? Thanks!
This one came with my original Jumper T16 but you can buy it separately..
Is the Master/Multi option only on Jumper OpenTx because I have 2.3.7 on my Horus and its not there?
Did you select multiprotocol support in OpenTX when you updated it? It'll need that to have all of those extra pieces..
@@Painless360 Hi Lee, I remember when I updated to 2.2.4 I selected the multi option but in 2.3.7 I cant see it - I've just looked at companion after reading you reply and I still cant see multi protocol support
I wonder if they've added it as standard now then.. Just checked the firmware and it's now included as standard. I wonder if it's just the X10?
@@Painless360 Don't know I only updated to 2.3.7 about 3 weeks ago
pa I can select multi when using an external module
i have a Horus and there is no trainer master/multi option. What do i have to do?
Update Opentx..
@@Painless360 i did. doi have to update the multiprotocol also?
I had to update my Multiprorocol module to the version shown..
Please see my pinned comment. Very dissapointed...
@@Painless360 Thank you! I liked FrSky a lot, but they keep on disapointing with their strange decisions...
Awesome video love the way you clearly explain things. you’re videos are my go to when I’m trying to figure something out.thank you. So I have a question. I’ve always wanted to hook up a PC gaming joystick to an RC radio but haven’t found a simple or inexpensive way to do it. Would this more advanced radio Perhaps provide a way to do that?
Most that have a USB post support that and the driver in Windows should be loaded automatically. See my videos on setting up a PC joystick...
?sir will this work on a jumper t16 pro
Should do..
@@Painless360 thanks sir
Hi nice video, thanks a lot.
by the way, I have extra unit of Internal 4-in-1 RadioMaster module .. can this internet module unit able to *plug* to the external module socket ?
If possible, I shall be able to use this way to have both internal & external 4-in-1 module, and setup the wireless trainer ?
Very much appreciate, if anyone can advise
Maybe, depends on the unit. Best of luck!
