Ben Bartlett is such a good composer. He manages to keep that same WWD feel while still doing something totally different, and I absolutely love that. I also really enjoy the sheer sense of terror some of these songs bring. It fits the whole "sea monster" vibe perfectly.
I actually talked to Nigel on a zoom call once, and being honest with you, it was one of the best experiences of my life. I talked with the same man who survived a Mosasaur attack on the Sea Mariner
Man, did I enjoy this as a kid (And still enjoy it to this day). The music for the encounters with the beasts is HAUNTING. Like something out of a horror movie.
Nigel is the superior nature presenter. No other presenters have gotten face to face with an Orthocone, Cymbospondylus, Dunkleosteus, Basilosaurus, Megalodon, Liopleurodon, or a Mosasaur!
Let us not forget that he also got up-close-and-personal (in a manner of speaking) with a pack of Velociraptors (with highly outdated featherless models), a Tarbosaurus, a "terror bird" (Phorusrhacos?), one of the Smilodon species, and a number of other now extinct predatory animals.

Man that guy was insane but he was my hero as a child... I remember wondering how he could even set a foot on these oceans. The dude literally almost died in each episode. The megalodon along with the music terrified me, as well as the mosasaurs and xiphactinus episode. It was so intense to watch. As an early fan of dinosaurs, I love the BBC for the way they made these series (WWD, WWG, WWM, and every Nigel Marven contents). I still watch these, every year or so, and laugh at Nigel being completely insane and putting the team in danger everytime for his own silly ideas lmao. Thank you for the music!!
I love this show so much, and the soundtrack is so good. The Dunkleosteous theme is legit haunting, really even more terrifying when you hear it here without the sound effects. Thank you so much for the upload. This made my day!

Through the course of two years I (and other users) began searching for the extracted soundtrack on any available dvd of the series (as some times these types of special contents are featured as extras). Turns out the spanish release of the dvd had the entire soundtrack of both Chased by Dinosaurs and Chased by Sea Monsters (even some unreleased tracks) and I could get a copy of the dvd and extract the soundtrack from it.
Hey Battlechampion, if you include the time stamps for each song in the description, it should divide the video into chapters for you, and make it easier to find specific songs.
@@battlechampion47 Yes, But if you, the uploader, paste the time stamps w/ titles to the video description, it should make individual chapter pieces appear on the scrub bar.

Cabot Finch! You're the best!! 😃😃😁
Thanks for your input Cabot Finch!
Wait didn't you make the Jurassic games? I swear I saw you on thet rick raptor video
This, this is trully nostalgic, i remmember when i was a tiny tiny boy, and i would watch this over and over and over, i still remmember all.
"It's just a sea dinosaur documentary, you don't need to go too hard"
Ben Bartlett : "Observe"
Listening to this while playing subnautica is quite... enhancing to the gameplay
Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well 😎
Imagen if there was a way to mod the game to replace the games soundtrack with this soundtrack?
Lets just all agree that this is the best (early) Christmas presents us WWD fans have gotten
I actually talked to Nigel on a zoom call once, and being honest with you, it was one of the best experiences of my life. I talked with the same man who survived a Mosasaur attack on the Sea Mariner
The first 50secs always gives me goosebumps
That intro makes me want to go outside, find a shallow river, and *Run*
i thought i was the only one
HELL. YES.
The marathon begins
The outro songs, especially The Worst Was Over...Almost, reall send shivers down my spine.
Got to love trilobite cam🔥
