- Hi! In this Vlog, Ross and I went to Maui and stayed at the Grand Wailea and Hotel Wailea. We had such a fun trip:
Golf: Wailea Blue Course (widest fairways + best views)
Snorkeling: the dumps
Beach: Chang’s beach
Outfits (separate Vlog that walks through these!)
Restaurants: Ferraro’s and DUO (both at the four seasons), The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea,
Monkeypod Kitchen

Last time I saw Grand Wailea most of the restaurants were closed for renovations (though no one was seen working on it). Have they all reopened? That area is beautiful, but that hotel is so poorly managed…I say this as someone who’s been there 10x at least, only to use the points. The Fairmont is well managed and really special ❤ aloha 🌺
I haven’t been there since this vlog! At the time of the vlog I recall the spa being closed for renovations so I’m sure it’s beautiful now!
Hi, did they deliver to you on the chairs or did you have to go pick it up from the restaurant?

Grand Wailea is terrible. Great beach and pool, tho. Nothing beats Turtle Bay! Just got back from a 2 week vaca. I wish Turtle Bay was on every island.

What what did you think of the restaurant at hotel wailea? How was the food? Worth it?
It was really good! The restaurant also has a beautiful view/vibe so the surroundings are 10/10. It is a preset menu that has courses, and it’s on the pricier side but if you’re a foodie you’ll enjoy it👍🏼

@@danielledwelley haha “everything of the sort” was the giveaway”. I’m planning a trip to Maui with my husband and I’m trying to decide between grand Wailea and Hotel Wailea. Is there a reason you chose to stay at the Grand Wailea for most of the trip even though you love Hotel Wailea so much? I’m having such a hard time deciding where to stay.
@@Shawbslol so we stayed at the grand wailea at the beginning because it was part of a conference we attended. However we’ve stayed at hotel wailea twice now, it’s perfect for romantic couples getaway (adults only). It’s literally the best ever we love it. The only advantage id say that grand wailea has is that it’s on the beach. But if you ask me, I much prefer hotel wailea it’s smaller, private, and peaceful! The best!!!
