We're back for some redemption! Last month, I put my YZ125 dirt bike back together and tried to race it. If you saw the video you know how that went. This time, I'm going with the mo power mo better philosophy. There is no better choice than break out the YZ250 and let 'er rip.

I'm 38, and this fool has me wanting to get back out there and break myself off at the skatepark with every video. It's a Siren's song--I feel like I could hang, but I think I'd be f**ked as soon as I took a major slam.

@markvincent522 we just have to find new aspects of our favorite dangerous things to enjoy as we get older. That and more calculated risk taking, haha. Skaters are great at staying at it and reinventing their fun, old dudes rip bowls at parks all the time and destroy curbs doing slappy grinds. Just put a bucket on your brain, maybe stretch a bit before and after, and prioritize driving yourself home rather than driving yourself to the ER!
For how little time you spend on a mx bike, your speed is awesome. Good content to watch

Watch the arm that holds the gate next to you up before the start. The second it moves drop the clutch. The arm will drop before the gate drops.

Just a heads up your prob already know but on holeshot don’t use the clutch to upshift keep on the gas and get it up. Idk if that’s still relevant but that was very popular when I rode in the beginning of the 2000’s
Thanks Sam 😄 I know it will shift but just try to be as easy on my stuff as possible. Don’t mind losing a little time if it keeps my bike together a bit longer.

450 makes more usable power vs 2 stroke that screams up high which excels in places like dunes, hillclimbs etc. All that "power" you talk about is mute if can't get it to the ground and hook up not spin. Why something with more torque is superior often if equal skillet between riders. Just the opinion of an ex semi-pro racer from the 90's till '00 when broke my neck.
Ohh I guess the title can be taken 2 ways. I meant faster bike as in I raced my 125 last video.
It is crazy how usable 4 stroke power is though. Wish I had the means to maintain one for the track

My 125 was a 2010. Sold it last fall though :( The 250 in this vid is a 2012.
