To those who still don't know, Berserk's team decided to continue the series under the supervision of Kentaro Miura's lifelong friend and fellow mangaka, Koji Mori. Mr. Mori says he was already told some concepts regarding the ending of Berserk and other plot points moving forward
Last June 24, 2 new chapters of Berserk came out and another chapter is expected to release on July 7

"I'm not going to flesh out these ideas like he wanted to. Only plot points he mentioned in passing for possible endings"
I'm good on those following chapters picked up by someone else that won't have these deep, thought provoking arcs in place of getting to an ending. That's exactly what happened with GoT, someone picked it up just to finish and look how that ended up.
That last panel by Miura left an open and ambiguous ending as it should've since Berserk isn't all back and white and is all about subverting expectations.
I'm impressed, Elden Ring has more approach feel to berserk than the actual berserk game lol

Cuz this game using Musou/Warriors engine. So you can take down more than hundred enemies at once like the actual berserk, but not the devil part.

As a fan of the manga, I'll say they got the designs of the apostles down almost perfectly. But believe me when I say this, read the manga FIRST before touching any of the adaptations. And before you say it, I'm anime-only as well. But Berserk is just something you'd have to make an exception for. The way the story is paced, the artwork, the characters, etc. None of the adaptations can ever come close.
What’s the biggest changes between berserk and the memorial recut of the films?
@@Bro-dot- a month late, but many character development scenes are missing. The films are a treat for fans of the manga, and the recut is a treat for fans of the films.
I'll be honest, when this game came out back in 2016, I didn't know much about BERSERK except from all the hearsay.
But after playing through it, I gained a much better understanding of what everyone was hyped about.
A brilliant story full of so many intense elements of pure fantasy, it's no wonder it's regarded as one of the best Manga tales of all time.
Kudos to K-T studio, they always know how to implement a Warriors-styled game with decent story telling.
And of course, R.I.P. Kentaro Miura. The legend will never die.
Did you unlock the berserker armor at the end? You really get to feel like Guts then.
If you haven't already you should read the novels. There the best most hard core version. Great art style aswell

@@theonewayroad3867 I think most of the inspiration was just a few Easter eggs aswell as boss designs, but not direct copies, just the grotesque look, the story for the soulsborne games are amazing but I doubt Miyazaki will change the story unless it comes nearer to the end of the game, unless he leaves it on a cliffhanger until the manga finishes one day.

Only recently got into the Berserk franchise and the more I keep reading the more Guts’ story intrigued me as I’m sure he has with many others. Great gameplay dude.
Holding out hope we'll get more new Berserk fans like you instead of blue haired teenagers on Twitter who get offended by the amount of disturbing content but choose to read it anyway just to stir shit up.

I'm surprised this game isn't more popular just based on the fact that it's the most comprehensive version of Berserk besides the manga. I scrolled through a bunch but it looks like most of the important stuff is there, and the voice acting is pretty solid.
How faithful is it to the manga? I might play it.
@@-DarkAvenger- It's not actually that faithful, definitely not what you'd call an adaptation. There are some really nice cutscenes that are actually the ONLY animated adaptation made so far (Casca giving birth to the demon infant), but they're few and far in between.
It is fun though, if you like Musou games like Hyrule Warriors and Dynasty Warriors, this is that with Berserk paint. Definitely a "shut your brain off after a long day at work" game, not something that you actively enjoy.

@@goldenstallions8643 My dad passed away and shortly afterwards I picked it up, it made the whole process easier to digest and not to hide away but to accept the situation and work on solving the issues we faced. Reading berserk has also had a profound effect to my outlook and perceptions, I’m a very positive and extroverted character and genuinely nothing can bring me down anymore

It will not awhile though! Because the game literally finished on the tail of the Manga! They are quite bit further now but still not enough content to warrant a brand new game! Sadly. Especially with the Manga being on hiatus now. I think, in another 10 years we will get a continuation lol. Remember, Berserk has been around since 1997! And only in 2016 we got a full flesh story Berserk game! So yeah....it won't be for awhile 😔

One of my proudest platinums I achieved on PS4. This has a Dynasty Warriors style of gameplay.

It’s developed by the same team who makes the Dynasty Warriors series, it’s part of their spin-off series, others they made which you may already know of include Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors.
Other manga titles they’ve made into a Warriors game also includes Arslan and now Fate/Samurai Remnant.

You know even though the graphics leave something to be desired I think the direction of the cutscenes in this were really really good. Like the actual death of corkus felt like it was an omitted panel. Also it made it way more clear what Femboys powers are.
Also skull knight is the goat, and I'm glad they did his entrance to the eclipse justice

Seeing the Soldiers Flying in pieces as Guts Swing his Sword is so Satisfying
It's sad that the old PS2 version has more soul than this updated one. You can tell that whichever team was behind the older version had more passion for the Berserk series and truly understood the depth and rhythm of the story.
Completely different company and team,this one was made by Koei who are famous for the Musou/Warriors games, this games runs on the Musou system where you can play different characters/officers like how it let's you play Griffith and Zodd to kill thousands of enemies.
honestly so happy we got a berserk warriors game. all the failed warriors games that the fans hate now still makes me happy this one got the love it

I just finished the beserk anime and started reading the manga i m so invested in it, it seems amazing and i’m only just finding out that there’s a game? i’m gonna have to get it and play. @@misakikoko4500 From Software games have a story Dark Souls is very vague but Elden Ring has a legitimate story so they can pull it of also their gameplay would fit it much better because there would be so many different ways of playing the game you could use cannon, arm mounted crossbow, all guts’ armors, and a whole different move set for the berserker armor. Great anime. I was in college back in the day when I first watch the OVA version by accident. It got me hooked since then and at one point, I thought this anime wasn't made by a human! Because it's just too out of this world. The graphics, the story line and everything within in was like "a men can't create this sh!t". It was an amazing piece then and even now, forward.

dude my brother had this game on ps4 and i beat it and got wyald and zodd in their regular form and their apostle forms and my god this game was one of my absolute favorites cause it was so different but so familiar at the same time especially when i grew up on dynasty warriors (and similar) games
This is probably the best way to experience Berserk if you don't wanna read the manga. Like all other adaptations, it has it's problems, but at least this feels like a complete package. I think I should use this as my "get people into Berserk" tool in the future.

Played when it first came out, still play it for funsies on occasion when i need a musou game or just for some Berserk, and its weirdly better then both new anime for telling stuff from the manga...
Still always say read the manga, but this action filled game is a decent way to convince people to try~
This game's attacks are too simplistic, even the ps2 video game had more ranges of style of attacks for Guts and respected his style of combat more closely, with variants and specials that were not only badass but respected Gut's moves in the manga.

The cutscenes in this game are wayyy better than the actual episodes on amazon prime i just finished watching them all and then i came across this video and i must say i hope somebody clips all the cutscenes from this game and edits it into a full movie id watch that shit forever. Guts is the most badass character ever!

Now, This is the Manga and Anime i like the most with Claymore, both has created Dark Souls universe by their stories, Monsters and Idea of background.
Maybe once the Manga fully finishes, maybe we will get another game 6 years down the line

I keep trying to get past the part where Guts saves Puck but for whatever reason, I kept failing at even just that.
But I probably will try again.
Also the number of chapters is pretty intimidating like....."Oh dang, that's so much reading to do".

I do that with some shows and video games too just to go back and realize how amazing it is, n get stuck binging it. It’s one of those things were you just gotta be in the mood for all that. By the time you delve into the Golden Age arc and the story progresses you won’t wanna stop reading!

Just throw Berserk cast on the next Warriors Orochi or something, using Behelit as a plot device.
Wish they would’ve utilized some smaller more intense battles during the smaller fights like when guts fights the band of the hawk early on. A 1v5 fight where horses are running around you and you have to defend against enemies shooting crossbows and horses trampling you and dodging sword swipes. Then when you kill 2 and injure the others you go one on one against casca.
pressing the same button over and over is always fun

I really enjoyed this one, the grind to get to the end game stuff was a bit easy though.
