Tackle animations actually look better and it’s good to see how much possession you can retain something that’s a little infuriating in rugby games. Would be good to have a slider (like rugby challenge) where you could customise gameplay a bit. Passing still looks pretty bad, some very unrealistic stuff going on.
Big Cant. Can’t make a decent fkn game. This game is an embarrassment, even for Early Access. The game was supposed to come out during World Cup time 2023, it’s now a year later and the game is literally a pre pre alpha. They hardly communicate with their consumers, and when they do it’s always an excuse as to why the gameplay is bad. “oh theres all these lines of code that get messed up when we do more updates”. That’s their excuse for a game that doesn’t even have proper support runners and passing? Rugby Champions was a game made by 2 people and they nailed the mechanics of Rugby gameplay in less than half the time Big Ant has spent on this game. There are no more excuses. This game is a disaster, and remaining optimistic is frivolous. Their Rugby League Live games were made with love, this game was made with pure hatred. There are literally props in winger positions, and that hasn’t been updated since day 1. The rucks looks like scrums. I could go on about why I think they absolutely hate the sport of Rugby Union, but there is little point. It’s been supposedly 2 years of development, game is completely cooked.
