  • In this reaction series video I watch the lying, fraudulent, scamming touts at WagerTalk(who created WagerTalk after they were exposed at PreGame by Deadspin and wanted to rebrand themselves) use crappy advice to make it seem like they know what they are talking about to swindle people into buying their crappy picks.

Its sad seeing people defending wager talk they are so obviously touts. If you took a basic stats class at your local junior college you could figure out that Ralph is bullshiting and has zero idea what he’s talking about when it comes to his stats. Generally speaking if someone is about as coherent as joe Biden then you shouldn’t pay for their advice on sports betting. There’s a key line I always hear every tout say in every video or post they say something to the effect of i or we are going to give our opinions then they start speaking from the point of authority as if they are actually knowledgeable on the topic. No, of course they don't always win, but no one does. And they are straight up and honest about (1) not betting parlays (2) stay away from teasers in everything but the NFL and only bet "Wong Teasers". (3) don't buy points (4) the difference between laying 3.5 at -105 and -3 at -120 (no difference). They also keep track of all their records of the picks they have given for FREE on the RUclips channel. In regards to the show "Bet on It", neither Kelly, Marco, or Gianni were below 55%. For football, I have used Wager Talk RUclips video picks and compared against other free RUclips handicappers and over the past two years providing decent results……What I get out of Wager Talk:
Education on the do’s and don’ts of sports betting - 75% important
Sports betting truth - 80% important
    Camera/video issues: - 0% important
Totals and side picks - 75% important
I’m in a couple of football pools (pick’em and ATS) and the RUclips handicappers (including Wager Talk), have helped me win $1,500 this year. Yes, this is luck when you have 100 people is a pool, but Wager Talk has definitely increased my odds winning some walking around
$$$$$$.....I'll be back next year........and best of all, it's all FREE!

Another Jagov is the pirate Dave Cokin. He talks in a deep voice to command respect meanwhile every time they put him on to talk about a particular game he typically says he has no opinion, he's not getting to the window, he even said one time "who knows what's gonna happen"? A complete phony that one. And make no mistake, kelly is there for her expertise, NOT her looks 🙄

Action Network indicates where sharp money is as well as big money and other categories. You can sign up for free and see one or two games for free, probably not NFL right now since there is only the big game left. Granted sharp money can be way off of a favorable result as well as big money. All sharp money means is these bettors got the best of the line so far. My point is that its not their tout friends they are referencing.
Since sharp money always gets the best of the line, right now it could only be on the Rams as early bettors got the best of the number if betting the Rams.
There may be sharp action coming in on the Bengals from this point going forward in which case you would have to see the line swing back the other way. I do not know how much they have to bet to qualify as sharp money but its likely limit bets as limits increase the close we get to the game.
Should the line swing the other way this sharp money indicator could change from Rams to Bengals.
As always love your work, William, and in no way am I defending anyone at Wager Talk. Prez is a fucking idiot.

These guys mostly won’t win over the long haul or even season. They can and will get hit a few times a year and when they do. They talk each other up to sell the plays. If you’re foolish enough to buy anyones plays for more than $10 each. You better be betting $100 min a game and hope you’re following a winner.

It’s easy to criticize and of course there’s an element of entertainment in their programming … but I am just an average guy who has become a better bettor by watching Wager Talk content. Not only better, but a WINNING sports gambler over the last 2 years. I owe that all to the folks over at Wager Talk without ever purchasing a premium pick. It seems to me that you are letting your professional jealously get the best of you. Your viewers deserve more than just hit-pieces without any context.

I have to disagree I've been following wager talk for a long time, I use them as a tool.... but I don't necessarily use their pics always.... but if you go back and look... the free picks are at about 55% the picks on "BET on it" are about 55% when I check their results the next day these dudes hit at about 55 to 57% so to be honest it makes no sense to bash them!! They give out Trends and angles that are very in-depth... My brother got into sports betting for the first time and just watching their shows helped him learn how to bet... they cater to new betters and they actually give out information that is legit... I'm not saying all of them are straight and narrow, maybe some of them are crooked, but I think for the most part they are not that bad.... you are really digging deep lol
Gianni the Greek is far from a clown lol Gianni the Greek has been proven for many many years... Kelly Stewart doesn't even sell picks so you're wrong about that, she's just the host of the show.... this is hilarious watching you dissect every little move they make when the reality is I've been searching for years and years for something better than wagertalk and there is nothing better as a tool.... PERIOD

I don't think you need to put much effort in your picks. Opposite is true. Not overloading yourself with irrelevant info and overthinking is not worth it. I agree for production side they are real bad. In sports betting there is almost no Q who wins or loses but who covers the spread at least if you want to be profitable. Win or lose max is for breaking even and having fun. And I can go on and on with your critics or hate whatever.

Not a big fan of the bet on it show that u focused on. Nba tip off is far better with skee, tony finn and rob veno + some others. Personally, i wouldn't even consider buying picks unless betting large amounts ( which I'm not yet). But listening to imo pretty knowledgeable people talk sports betting is fun and helpful in guiding my own picks. I don't believe their win/loss stats are incorrect but they do highlight the cappers who are on gd runs ( u won't hear someone say ive won 4 of my last 15 bets, but we all know it happens) so at worst u could say they're misleading. If Andy Lang says " Robert Horford has been under his PRA 5 of the last 6 games, he's just not getting the minutes and the books haven't caught up" i can check that info and make a decision. $$. Dont blindly bet every lean. Use your brain, manage your bankroll and keep learning. I do think some of Ralphs trends are nonsense ( sample size matters), can't listen to Gianni's voice but other than that wagertalk is fine. Helped me go from £600 to £2000 in 18 months

    A few things...
Gianni is clearly a scam artist. Talks too fast and thinks he's slick. He's a bad movie character. I'd like to think anyone can see through his nonsense.
That said, Marco was right about Henry. You bring up practice but players coming back from injury don't look good first game back all the time, in every sport. Henry averaged 3.1 yards in that game. Not very Derrick Henry-like. I don't think what he said was so over-the-top.
I don't know much about Ralph one way or the other. And obviously what he says is already baked into the number. However, he gets shit whether his trends are too small of a sample size or if they go back too far. Pick a side here.
For the record, I know nothing about thier previous company and never buy picks from anyone. It's just videos that tend to talk about current form more often than not. Basically what ESPN and the like should be doing but never do because they think being the CNN of sports is a good thing.
Also, not everything in sports has to be some kind of analytical model. My proof? The amount of shitty decisions coaches make 'based on the analytics' every day. The Vegas Flu was a real thing in the NHL for a while there. Why is it some teams can't/rarely beat other teams on the road no matter how good/bad they are? I don't know and neither does anyone else.
All that said, you come off as kinda nasty here. Sometimes I think you hate this industry outright.
