There are a lot of strategies out there that are employed to bet on sports, but only one strategy will give you a chance to win in the long run. Great video - I'm a stats guy myself. However there are a couple of weaknesses that I've identified. Most stat guys treat teams like machines, they are not mechanical, they are organic. Teams perform at a different level from week to week. Stats at their best only give you an objective starting point from where you must access how efficiently each team in a pairing will perform. Let down games and sandwich games are some of the easiest pickins you will find, but there are many other nontangible events and conditions that will effect how much energy and effort a team will bring to a given game. This leads into my second point. You are discussing the bookmaker lines as if they are the true margin between the teams. They are not. They are designed to equally split the bet money and they rake the vigorish risk free. Understanding how the public will over value a team is extremely important and that is achieved through a subjective analysis of the game. Keep up the good work!

Stats and trends don’t matter because point spreads and totals are games of chance. Too much random variables

I used to bet on my own for about 11 years and I can tell you I was never in profit.. recently I found pristinetips.com that provides soccer picks with some really crazy results. You can place a bet it day before the match start. worst thing is that it's expensive even for a one month.. but definitely it's worth it. I would say, if you have some money aside, give it a try but if you will do, remember to stick with the service and bet every single pick for few months to see the profits as it's long term game

I've been Esports betting now for about 1 full season and have started taking it far more seriously this season. I can assure the people watching that this man knows his stuff. It is hard to get rolling, learning numbers, stats, organic changes to teams etc. But if your persistent and disciplined, this is definitely a way of making some cash. Thank you for all of the advice (even if I can't implement it all just yet)

Main thing is that I play 3 game parlay only sometimes when with friends makes the games much nicer to watch. Also don’t bet so much that losing will kill u

Good Video. I usually do well in baseball and I hate baseball and base it upon left handed pitching as certain teams hit and don't hit lefties and always do well and I hate baseball. I love betting college football and College Basketball and I lose my ass. He is right stat betting and not having biases is very important.

Agree with the first 2; in football You can many times handicap loser teams two goals and get better odds than backing the winner.
I've played single bets of 1% of roll and have been successful 38% of the time.
Post-lockdowns there seems to be a Lot less high-scoring matches; especially "Big" matches ✌️
Betting makes watching the game a little bit more fun and intense. But for me the key word should be fun. I ocassionally bet a small amount of money that I know I won't miss on games I'm interested in watching.

You can make good money sports betting without a model but like all things, you need to have a deep understanding of what your doing. The sports I bet on I watched for over 10 years as a passionate fan before I began to bet on them. When I started to bet on them, it was only as a recreational better, betting small amounts and losing more than I won. I learnt how to bet the hard way and once I knew what I was doing and what to look for, I combined that knowledge with my deep knowledge of the sports I bet on and hey presto, I was successful without a model. The entire process took me over a decade, this is not something you can learn to do overnight.
Great video. So many sheep looking for an iron-clad way to win money at sports betting. Appreciate you telling it like it is. Keep up the good work despite the naysayers that will eventually come at you when you have a bad day. Screw these people. Keep the vids coming and have the belief that your channel will take off if you stick to full truth and transparency. That's the biggest problem in this area. Also look forward to your vid re: touts and how they prey on the weak and desperate using stat manipulation with regards to their "winning records."
I think the issue is that so many people just want someone to tell them what to play, which is why touts are appealing to many. For whatever reason, whether it be not having to blame themselves when they lose, or just not wanting to put in the work, or actually believing the hype and lies around tots.
Tout videos are coming probably within a month. I plan on filming them when I am in Las Vegas at the end of this month.

In your example when you say -200 correlates to a 66.7% chance of winning, and your model says 70%, doesn’t it make more sense to view it as the casino thinking they have a 69.1% of winning because the casino always has the edge? They wouldn’t have 2:1 margins in their bets if those were the actual odds they came up with, right? Or am I thinking of this wrong. Do you account for that for their edge when looking for discrepancies?

If you make straight bets and live in Vegas. It’s possible. If you like Teasers and parlays and bet online offshore. It’s Not possible
How to report to betway
Is it better to make 1 big play you’re fairly confident about or multiple smaller plays??
It depends. If your model says 1 play is +EV, only play that one. If your model says 100 plays are +EV, play all 100. All you have to do is adjust unit sizes.
You do have to put yourself out there on high probability bets but make sure you know why it's high probability. It's like this week I bet on the Steelers playing a crappy team and that was high probability, but they lost, so luckily I hedged that bet to make back some of the loss, but it was statistically way in my favor to bet it. Still, I hedge my bets. It hurt to lose, but I didn't lose 100%. That is the key. You lose 100% and now you have to make 200% to ever make it back
Yeah man I been making all moneyline bets only, only underdogs I thought would upset. Turned $75 into about $650. I know it’s small but it’s my first season playing with actual money and I did really well. I only would bet moneyline underdogs that were +200 or greater. So winning 1 out of 3 made me basically break even. I made at least 3 plays ya a day through the weekends.
@@mattspence3590 I've actually done okay this fall using parlays, but that's because college football is way more predictable than pro sports. There are certain teams that you know are going to win easily.

Buying picks is not a failing strategy.....you just have to have the right handicappers.
I used to think this same thing. Started doing my own research and making my own bets and I’ve been way more profitable
Buying -EV picks is a failing strategy and ill give you a quick example why. Let's say you pay 30 to 50 bucks for a pick which is average and they give you -110, with that purchase your odds are now -160 odds to -130 odds. If you win you make very little money. If you lose you lose a 150% each time. Don't be fooled paying for pics. I would understand if people are paying +300. They're giving you odds that you can do yourself. The customer will lose overtime or break even if that. It is just simple math.
And you find out Really quick that none of them can give You Positive EV which is a must to be profitable over time.
Make a single bet. Bet on anything you choose. This will be the only bet that you ever make. If you win, you will have won at sports betting.

You can virtually get the same pics free if you search on RUclips but you can only hope to have success if you put the same amount of money on every game and never chase your losses .. which means if you bet a game at noon for $50 and lose ... then you bet a game at 3pm for $50 and lose .. then you bet a game at 8pm for $50 and lose ... Don’t wake up the next day and bet $150-$200 on one game
The only guarantee is that the house has a built-in edge.

One other question -- is there one or two sports that are far and away better to bet than others?
I think the best way to answer that is to name sports to stay away from - NFL, NBA and high level soccer.

BUT if i only win 10% of the money i put in when i win, and lose 100% when i loose, im at a loss BECAUSE 70 dived by 1/10 = 7% => house has 43% over you FOR MONEY TRANSFER

Yep! Only after losing a ton of money with back to back exponential bets. You better have a massive bankroll (that you are willing to lose) before trying Martingale Strategy.
