An excellent video. It’s about air flow folks, a quality healthy air.

I actually did my own ducts after watching a you tube video. I was able to do a DIY setup that worked pretty good! My return vent had so much collected dust in it, it looked like grey insulation. Every time the unit would come on we would start sneezing (this is a rental Condo)! The blower fan and coil had a lot of debris on them, it was a mess! After cleaning every thing; not only was there an immediately difference in the air quality. My electric/heating bill went from $270-320 a month to a steady $170-180!!!!! I have since placed a filter over the air return vent which I change every 3 months. Never had to do another cleaning and that's been 4yrs ago:).

My Biggest Concern: those surface repair coating or fiberglass duct board barrier that are used after cleaning have some pretty scary chemicals inside. (Proposition 65 List) SQE which means atleast one of the chemical ingredients in the product has been tested and proven to cause cancer. I can’t justify removing dust and microbial growth just to add a more toxic chemical into the duct system. Is it just me? Or is this crazy thing to ignore?? I assume he’s using a Jon-Don Fiberlock IAQ insulation sealant. There’s really not many options when it comes to duct board seals.
Neways thank you for all you content! I watch every video religiously!

I newer recommend duct cleaning to my customers due to lack of true duct cleaning pros. Most offering vents vacuuming/cleaning as duct cleaning.
