If you love the ocean and fishing Morehead city is absolutely the place for you, if you want any type of exciting nightlife this is not the place for you, laying in a hammock reading a book, retired person who loves gardening you will love it
I agree. I've been coming to Morehead City for years and I'm finally moving there. I could care less about the nightlife at my age. I've been there and done that.😊
I'm moving there January 1. I live nearby but I've always wanted to live at the beach rather than drive 1 and 1/2 hours to the beach and then drive back home. I am so happy to be living at the beach finally.
Hey there! I’m not that familiar with Mooresville NC - I do have partners that I could get you in touch with though. Unless you mean Morehead City? Morehead city does have a similar to “Main St” that you can do a little shopping and walk to restaurants yes!
any idea of what HO insurance runs? Can folks in this area still get insured? (looking to possibly move and interested in this area but getting insurance is a big issue... coming from N, CA where many insurance companies are pulling out)
Yes you can still get HO insurance. Rates have risen and will continue to, And are generally higher on the east side of camp lejeune, but can definitely still get it 😀
@@livejacksonvillenc Sure do! Better jobs available, Culture is much different. You don’t have this ruling class of local families who own everything in town including the ground you stand on. If I want to go to the coast you are about 2 to 3 hours away from any beach in NC. Including Morehead city
Ok - there seems to be mixed opinions on that part.. there’s no ill-intent with the statement, it’s just trying to get people to understand the landscape. Let me know if I can ever help with anything!
To many people in such a small area. There is too much traffic. To many houses. Beach access crowded. It's definitely not worth the money. You're better off moving to California.

Those towns are not part of the OBX. I love how realtors started calling it the "Southern Outer Banks" . The OBX stops at Ocracoke.

@@livejacksonvillenc lol...I'm an OBX local. Just a little territorial! Sorry
lol I love it. Whats your favorite area to visit and/or live?
@@livejacksonvillenc Well, I was stationed in Cherry point back in the 80s and that whole area has changed dramatically...

youch! it's pronounced 'bow-fert', not 'bew-fert.' the latter is a town in south carolina.
Yes, I mispronounced it and confused the word with where I went to Boot camp in PI (Beaufort) Please forgive me! Lol I actually am dyslexic!
@@kathyhughes4417 sorry I have voice texting so that's the way it came out
might need to power wash that fence.
Man the fence is past gone lol needs replaced
