I'm not alone in my sickness! I started around the time Morningtide came out and the tribal nature of the Lorwyn sets had me hooked. Now every free surface I used to have is covered in piles of cards or boxes loaded with cards. Dope collection bro!

I started collecting since the first Innistrad, but due to absence of the ability to play just occasionally collected some cards. Foils on one side of the binder, Legendaries on the other. Planeswalkers in the middle. :-) Thanks to Spelltable I finally can play some EDH, so also started altering my Elf deck... Really like the framed cards! They are great!
I started playing this year, I've gotten like 4 bundled and 2 or 3 boxes and idk how many comander sets. I plan on doubling my collection by the end of this year, I'm obsessed with the game and opening packs. Thanks for the video!! Very entertaining
The Legendary creatures binder was a cool idea! Also, congtratz on a cool collection. Personally I'm into the old stuff, but then again I played from 95-99 so that's where the most nostalgia is for me. Keep it up with cool videos :)
very cool to see another collection. I started playing back in 2015 with modern, and fell of after a couple years when throne came out. I got back into it over covid(break didnt last to long lol) and commander and pionner are my new loves.
That is a Wonderful collection! I am also a fan of the Eldraine showcase adventure cards and have a full foil set of them myself, ive collected all the kaldheim gods and all of the archive spells. Ive decided to compress my collection by sleeving everything that will not be traded in one color of sleeve so i can exchange them universally between the 5 or so decks I actually play with. All my planeswalkers are in a binder. Im currently collecting from phyrexian related sets and writing down decklists for what I have so i can configure them quickly. (That way all my sleeves get some wear so there is no visual cue between new cards and old.) Having all my main playable collection in similar sleeves really helps with swapping and increases their longevity. I love the way you displayed the eldraine cards- wow. Im selling all my cards that arent in my main playable collection to free up space. This will reduce my cards from about 70,000 to 6,000 and leave me with 8 commander decks, 5 60card decks and two carry ready cases. Im keeping all my snow land- love those.
The magnetic display is so cool! I’m not finding in person that many people are interested in the collecting side of MtG but I’ve got binders and binders for each set and 1 of each card I can get my hands on from recent sets and any unique tokens/marketing cards. Maybe some day I’ll be able to post a video.

Interesting that some people are into "new" cards, rather than very oldschool collectors of Dual lands and such. Id rather trade for old stuff, but having some of the nicer art as "collections" in frames is a nice touch. I like to store "1 year" worth of cards in a big white 4 row box, and if that gets full it will show me "thats too much, stop buying cards".
Wow! Your wall art is amazing! Your addiction to cardboard is severe, I'm afraid. I recognize it as I would my own. I started with Amonkhet as well and learned the game through a fantastic group of people at the LGS. So much incoming cardboard! It eventually became easiest to put the rares/mythics into ten categories (WUBRG, multicolored legendary creatures, multicolored, artifacts, planeswalkers and lands) and doing the same with uncommons and commons. Each section is arranged legendary creature/ench/instant/sorcery/creature. Roughly alphabetically for the R/M (a-d, e-h, i-l, m-p, q-t, u-z) - they are in binders I bought at the local thrift shop - and alphabetically for the uncommons and commons I keep. Cardboard crack. It's cardboard crack.
Very nice collection. I am also very cleany about my sorting of cards and do it the same way. Sorring for sets, rarity and colour. I also make set completions or binders with special pribts lije Throne of Eldraine or Japanese War of the Sprk Planeswalkers. Keep up!

I sort quite similarly! Especially the secret lair album and commander album. I have a problem where i have a full cupboard of sealed secret lair products. Also limiting myself to few EDH decks. Ohhh the stained glass ones i recently just completed and posting everyday now.
I loved the found footage part at the start. Full movie when? The Games Haven Project? The Esmond Magic Project? I been playing since Scourge/Legions but my collection is nowhere near as big. So you have to answer your own question, Esmond. How much have you spend on trading cards?
Do you know those giant, see through panels you see in stores, to display posters for example, that you can browse through? I want something like that but for magic cards. So in essence giant, solid binders for viewing :D . I wonder if anyone build this.
I need to sort my cards lol, I've been playing since the tail-end of Shards of Alara block, even though I technically owned cards from when the game first started being released. Mostly singles of black cards (I liked the rats and evil creatures as a young boy). If only I had know how much the mox would be worth one day!
Awesome collections. I tried to limit my collections as well, back then I use to collect black/red(Rakdos) rares and mythics, then I got attracted by the M20, Mu Yanling Sky Dancer planeswalker card(got it from a pack) and it all started there, now I'm waiting for the binder I ordered.
Do you double sleeve your edh decks? I hear that they can't really fit that way into boulders. But I really like those clear ones and not sure If I should get them cause most of mine are double sleeved
@Black_Lodge_Willy I have 23 commander decks, The majority of which are in boulders, all are double sleeved. If you use the Drangon Shield inner sleeve (re-sealable) and an ultra-pro putter sleeve, I have found that works best, can get 100 cards in there and tokens on side facing out with no problem. You will encounter the same issue with Prism deck boxes, but not Satin Towers (I use them all). Hope that helps!
Buy 93-94 cards while you still can… and foils up to 2012 is my suggestion. Congratulations on making something awesome with your collections and I hope your games only get more fun.
I dont feel so bad now :P . I started in exactly the same block AKH/HOU and my collection which felt big is only a small percentage of yours. I love the art showcases and this might make me finally get going and frame the full set of foil AKH/HOU lands as a homage to the beginning.
I always hear people talk about how standard used to be fun. I watch a lot of arena content and it still seems interesting. What makes standard back then different compared to now? I’ve only been playing magic a little over a year
Standard on arena has just become a totally different format imo. It used to be only in paper and people would literally just play with whatever cards they found interesting. Way more rogue decks, weird brews and just a more casual format I think? That’s what made it more fun for me at least
