Track needs more recognition the commitment, the work ethic is unbelievable
I train track and field
Well, all pro sport is like that.
Too bad it’s not a very good spectator sport
Gets recognition as a sport as a whole In lots of other countries.
Jayden Dickson I would argue track is one of the hardest mentally and physically
Going above 90% over and over again does something different to your body. Hurts like no other
But the results are amazing. When fatigued that's when you push tje hardest so you body can get stronger for the next session.
It almost fries up your CNS.. That shit is hard. I mean real real hard
@@naothi right? It pushes your limits and conditions your body for maximal effort I love it
Fr😭
I’m a big boy like track was a struggle for me it was a different type of grind. I way 217 but I was up with the 24 second mark for my 200 it was work it hurts your body like no other and burns from the inside.
Track ain’t no joke man
I Boxed, Played Football & ran Track my whole life & I must say, I've been hurt more in Track than both Boxing & Football combined. And Track was the hardest & toughest bc it's all you against the clock. Not only that, it was tremendously draining!
nobody will understand that feeling after a 400 if they've never done it lmao
@@BreuckelensFinest Agree, track puts more pressure on your body, since your giving everything you got in a short amount of time, so you are prone to tearing muscles and stuff like that. Both sprinters and long distance however have different types of injury. Long distance has a lot of mental challenges, reason why I respect them, it takes a lot to tell your body to keep going even if it is tired or hurting
@@alphonsusho8962 Yeah you're right. Well said bc when I was boxing I had to put them miles in, 3-5 miles per day & that wasn't easy when you have to spar & train with the bags. And all i did was slightly over a walk kind of a jog to open up my lungs. So I can't even imagine training for the long distance events. Word up!
@@BreuckelensFinest Yeah, it's also those thing, you definetly know when you're actually working your body and when you're not. Although I hate doing sprints, they are a great way to burn calories quickly, I usually do 60m sprints. Doing sprints also naturally build leg muscles
Coach was ready for that wave check 🌊
I coach track too... this coach is acutely aware of his guys strengths and weaknesses. He sets goals for them and trains them to hit their goals. Coach is right when he says the meet is not the place to learn how to race. Coach is on point.
Wow, I must say, "Impressive!"
These young men are putting that work in. Seems like great coaching. Salute.
I love those footsteps sounds
Track practice was the TOUGHEST practice lol But I still kind miss ut probably because of the elite shape it put me in lol
yeah
mikeruck2888 definitely
Jake McCoy is right but I am going to add this thats so true all they do is talk and walk during practice
Wrestling: Am I a joke to you?
Jake McCoy is right but I am going to add this if you do track for chicks and not for yourself you’re just a bit stupid tho
I miss being in this type of shape. I will try to get close to this level again at my mid-30s as of now.
Nothing is impossible
I'm getting to this shape and I'm 34
join a track club im 39 and my club athletes are 21-29 high level sprinters they got me in sprint shape real quick i beat my 100m and 200m college PR just training with those guys lmaoo
It's nothing like being in track shape
I hated these days in track and Field. Shit isn't funy AT ALL. LOL
I always loved these days... but only afterwards lmao
That feeling when you need to throw up afterwards and you can't find a trash can is the absolute worst.
@@dolphinreacts532 unless there's one next to the track
5:40 red shirt guy most i've ever related to a WoW
kickedmarlin128 nbs!!!
kickedmarlin128 I felt exactly what was in his head
That honestly happens so often. When I train sprints the coach is happy if you are about to throw up
@@thelandoctopuses1020 yup
There were 2 red shirts
I do not understand how some of these guys go back to back and do such amazing times. I really appreciate these guys showing people what it’s like to be a true runner.
Coach got da wave on point 😜🍴
Hanhee Yang Beat me to it
He got a lot of forks tho
As a former football player.. it was track that made me the best athlete for football.. I swear every kid thats playing football should also be running track..
Besides showing great athletes ,you talk to great coaches!!
My most respect to all athletes and coaches 🙌
I love track and field 🤙
I just remember how painful the back of my legs hurt after running 300s
i play football, basketball and run track and track workouts are by far the hardest
I love the use of wickets for getting the knees up
O San Stefano, this is good stuff! So much preparation for those games that brings us thrills! Molte Grazie! Many thanks!
You've got to put the money in the bank so you have something to spend on meet day. In sprinting mistakes are magnified 10-fold in something like a 60 or 100. The different between champion and runner-up is tiny. Be the best on meet day. My track has snow on it today so training's done indoors on a perimeter track above the gym. Can't wait to get outdoors and spread our wings.
Quincy Track Club Yo y’all got an indoor track???
Auburn sprints, LSU sprints, Texas tech, Kentucky, workout Wednesday suggestions
Dread head fast ✊🏾
That's because he runs with his ball's & heart! You can see he wants that shit! Track is such a drain physically, the only way to be great at it is to mentally be strong & dread head got that!
MR KJ
Track use to be so hard for me as a new thrower a barely could run a 400m now I have way better breath control . Track is a really good sport and workout overall
I used to run uphill sprints 4 times a week, being a soccer player to keep my speed.. it helped with my acceleration and take off, top speed.. I tore my right hamstring partially while wearing Nike running shoes that have like a high heel, I guess I hyperextended during a sprint and that was it... Nothing beats feeling the rush of a foot race tho. Nothing! Lol..
No pain no gain
Wrong... Train, Don't Strain*
Wish I had this coach, having the motivation of wanting to break Olympic records but not having the right training or friends is some what saddening
Mxrksman x if you have “the motivation to break Olympic records” but let “not having the right training” and “friends” hold you back you never had the motivation to do shit. Stop pointing fingers at other people and realize it was YOU who held yourself back. Excuses sound best to the people who make them.
Go out and train as hard as you can, recover from it and then do it again. You'll learn as you go along what works best for you. You don't need a coach or friends to do that. Unless you're saying you're paralyzed or something. If that's the case then yeah you have no chance.
@@deving.o.a.thester1741 💯
Awesome I’m a distance coach and I don’t see that much work or discipline first burners but this is on point
Thank you!!
They work more on speed and turnover. Also, it depends on the time of the year. The wicket drill was on point after the end of a sprint. Shoes off running in the pit was smart also.
*Wave check*
I definitely don't miss the workouts haha
Why?
@@krestainwatsonjr. because it's a living hell to get through it 😂
Some of best moments of my childhood was spent there at Mike Long!!
I feel red shirt on a spiritual level. I don’t think people understand how hard running 90% and above over and over again is.
awesome post
This was great
these guys ain't playing around!
mind blowing work out
The guy in the red shirt has potential. He has to focus on high knees and drive with the arms
Caitlin Schilbe you can shut up now.
@@boysurfs y cuz I'm right? Lmao
Caitlin Schilbe dude what did you even comment don’t they teach you not to comment useless things. He literally didn’t say anything other than he has potential. Everyone gets butthurt to the smallest comments.
@@caitlinschilbe7753 who the fuck are you? leave.
Man what this is a top 10 sprinting program in D1 all these guys have potential
I do not miss track workouts! Real talk!
Nice and Smooth!
What shoes are they wearing at the very start to warm up? Nike Zoom Pegasus?
Pretty Ricky!!!! FSU Alumni! I see ya Durkio!✊ Don't hurt'em out there to bad! 😅 Dem boys putting in Major Work!!!💪 #Salute #Sprintnation #Tokyo2020
I got out of breath just watching this😂
For me the form is the hardest part of sprinting
Muito bom...
I ran track my whole life from age of 5 private clubs all into college in my adulthood it’s hard as hell but fun as hell😂
super coach
Fsu got that Piper high school connection✊✊
coach going hard with them 720s
wow...................I remember when they installed this track
Guys also need to focus on nutrition. Coach is going to let you knew if you’re going to have a long day.
Ima be at this school 1 day I promise you, you can anything if you put your mind to it
Matherson from Jamaica a Huge plus for fsu 20.3 200 10.25 100 pb all high school times
Do u know why he wasn't here?
Shake n' Blake saving him 💀💀😭😭 there best sprinters aren’t shown here
TAHZEY not true. Kasaun is shown here and he’s gone 20.2 before.
Definitly! GOOD LUCK Here in Paris in 2024!
Easily the hardest sport in the world if you are truly wanting to compete.
Think about running 200 meters 15-16 times at a sub 24 seconds?
And if you don’t make time you get another tacked on? Yea. You will collapse before that day is over. The point is you will never get to 15-16. But you mentally still try.
So when meet time comes you run a 21-22
man it must be so warm there
If this is workout Wednesday then what are the other days.
Equally as difficult.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

I am fast as hel but seeing their legs move so fast that I thought the video was sped up 2x was a whole different story 😭
I would love to do this easy workout! I know it’s relative because I do distance, so we do 8 x 400. These guys are way faster than me though
It would be easy for you because you can't exert the same power these guys can, they'll leave you in the dust
I'm sure they can do 8x400 easier than you can. They're going at above 90% of max speed with little rest. Huge difference
They are going almost 100% on every single run. You can fluctuate. They don’t have that option. That’s why sprinting will always be the hardest part of track and field. To run 19-21 second 200 you have to be FAST.
some FAST dudes
Hey I've been there before.
LSU next!!!!!
🔥
Watch out for matherson
the dude in the red is me in any sort of race
7:17 .... bachata flow 🇩🇴🎶 haha
Jay inri Dominican speed
Шикарные условия. Отличный стадион.
You know they tired 😴
Good sh*t!
I workout almost everyday to keep my body goin
the guy in the red shorts has awesome technique. what's his name?
💫
Why does the part of the straightaway have staggered different color lane filling. Does it have a meaning or just aesthetic.
exchange zones for relays
I love you all! GOD bless USA wich that it's used to be said! I say it too! GOOD LUCK!
How much was the rest between 160s 140s 120s?
Track fell off so bad I was just looking for some spikes and they don’t sell them anywhere
It’s all fun and games until the Florida man starts sprinting
this intro is like a zach lever video 🤔
People who don't run are like Track is easy all you do is run. Yeah you do it then.
Geaux Tigers!
Broski in the corner holding the wall for his life 😂😭
Wow
But i have to say it wich is true USA sprinters since i'm born here in France in 1966 are the best of our world!
So painful😣😣💪💪
Rest for 30 seconds we used to get a min. And 1/2 🤤
What is the spacing for the wickets?
InheritedLegacyProductionsLLC 4 steps 4:44
I somewhat feel like college workouts are a tad bit easier than high school workouts because we do like 12 200s for sprinters. Idk if I’m right tho
chicken wang I mean I’m 17 and I do 8x200 lol
Sir aap ka stadium ka par hai
im 13 (8th grade) and i never rna cross country or track before but my school is starting a track team and i had my first practice today (Feb 26, but practice is everyday for 1 1/2 hours) but i don't know what i want to do. long distance or sprints? i don't really like long distance but i'm pretty fast.
@jjyoutube i ran a 17.61 on my first ever 100m:(
@jjyoutube i was nervous and not wearing the right shoes
Try a few different events! It’ll make you stronger and show you what you like & don’t like :)
@jjyoutube this is completely fabricated, the world record of last year was 49.94 and the record for this year so far is 51.34, so unless you're breaking world records and your name isn't on the list yet, you're lying. Here's where i got my information : www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/Division/Top.aspx?DivID=100696
jjyoutube you’re an idiot
In FLORIDA? I know they hot
Zack Hologram they used to it
I grew up in TX. It be blazing down south
Coach is wearing full sweats
You know they're doing hills after this. And probably some weight training. Can't give all the secrets away. They didn't eat because it would be a waste. This workout is called PUUKA.
I'm going to this higsh school rip 😅
Its a university

They don't lie about flordia being fast sheesh
Ahh man how I remember the days I have thrown up doing these drills...& coach not giving 2 fucks 😥🤣
One of them say he did not eat anything before doing this...
This is crazy...
