I left iOS last October to go back to Android and was about to go back with the iPhone 16 release. Then I went and saw this in person. It's my first foldable device. I picked it up on release unlocked yesterday. I don't think I'll ever go back to iOS now.
I left IOS for one month and came right back. It is so hard to escape the ecosystem
I have just bought a Z Fold 6 after owning iPhone's for the last 4 years or so. I'm impressed so far. I do miss a few things, like FaceID, ecosystem integration and the polished nature of iOS but I have to admit, the hardware is excellent and the software features that take advantage of the phone are spot on. OneUI 7 is rumoured to have Live Activities and a version of Dynamic Island too.
@@illbet4589 I know what you mean but I've started using some apps that help. 1password is great and iCloud is installed as an app on my Z Fold 6. That's been a big help. I prefer iOS but I can't go back to a slab phone after using this.
I just switched as well for the z fold 6. Been an i phone user since the 4s. I'm happy with the choice!!

Personally, I find Samsung Internet to be far superior to any other browser, including Chrome. Samsung Internet features an ad blocker, extensions, and on devices with Galaxy AI, it allows you to summarise the page. It also synchronises with Google Chrome on any computer-just install a simple extension. It's fast, user-friendly, and visually appealing. I see no reason to use another browser. Additionally, you can transfer all your bookmarks and history from Chrome to it. I can't recall exactly how to do it, as I've been using Samsung Internet exclusively for over four years, so...
Brave browser is definitely the best.

@amany5383 Firefox is better, after 4yrs of Samsung I made the switch and cannot fo back.
The most important feature for me is the dark mode. No other browser has this mode working so well.
@mgdg4413 I'm using dark mode in Firefox, it can be set to follow device theme or light or dark. I also use auto reader view which strips out adverts and distractions.
Went from s22 ultra to this and I love it so far.

S series have been Samsung's flagship and premium phones after Note series but Z folds are taking over every single day. I prefer Samsung to iPhones

I just received mine yesterday and it's just perfect for assisting me running both my businesses, especially cause of the cross compatibility between both my desk top PC and Google Chrome book. So in general this is strictly my business phone and I use iPhone 13 mini for personal purposes.

Wait for the Z Fold 6 Slim (Gonna Release in Q2 of 2025) or Z Fold 7 FE (The initial Z Fold and Flip 6 FE got scrapped but they might bring that on the 7 series)
Bruh, so many note 10 users kept that phone for a long time. I used to be a person who upgrades every year, but I still have my note10+ . I'm here cuz I'm most probably going to buy the fold 6 just looking for an excuse to do so.

Almost sold on these. Could you talk a bit about bumpers and covers and second skins for all these foldables? I might have to take the dog down a flight of concrete stairs when im half asleep, and it makes me uncomfortable with any fragile expensive devices. Conventional phones got there with a surrounding bumper, but are folding bumpers any good?
Also, is this something where a large OEM can shine over a Chinese import where any skins and bumpers take three weeks to be shipped, and you never get the same one twice?

Very basic here but how do you get the display to turn on? It looks like your pressing the button. I have to tap 5-8 times to get the screen on or press the side button. What is up with that? How does this work?!

It always has. I have my Fold 5 in front of me and it "convincingly snaps open" in the last bit of unfolding.

Unfold the phone turn the phone off turn back on. Don't fold it open and close the RUclips app for the Amazon prime video app let me know if any of you guys experience a yellow line flickering to the left of the screen. If you fold it closed then open again this issue goes away. Is anyone else experiencing this is try for yourself keep the fold open turn the phone off then on again. It's worth getting if you absolutely love GoodLock. Coming from a Oneplus Open, I couldn't stand having such a basic OS. It was a really good foldable, but horrible 'boring'. I bought a Fold6 and am not looking back. Plus the Slimmer cover screen fits my hands perfectly. Samsung's foldable are unbeatable simply because of OneUI being arguably the best OS for foldable. That being said, if you're someone who take selfie or pictures of everything... Get an S24 Ultra. The Fold6 is not for taking pictures.
