Here comes the PC fanboys... FYI. I used to game on PC and build my own rigs, but what many PC gamers overlook is the main advantage of consoles: you can just turn them on, play for 15-45 minutes, and relax on the bed or couch without worrying about optimizations, compatibility issues, game-breaking updates, or background apps interfering. Most of the time on PC, I found myself more focused on nitpicking game performance-obsessing over FPS and squeezing out maximum detail from my rig-than actually enjoying the games. I ended up spending more time and money on hardware than on the games I wanted to play. When you're tired from work, busy, or not having enough time, you don't have to deal with any of that hassle on a console.
sounds like a YOU problem not the platform. I use my PC for work and game and I can easily switch to console mode (steam big picture) grab my controller and relax on the sofa and play whatever the f I want.
my PC runs great all the time I never have to mess around with with obsessing about settings. I've yet to find a game I can't run at high settings on my 3070 at 1440p
The PS5 Pro is a steal compared to PC at the same price to performance ratio. The people complaining at the Pro's price are just console gamers who dont know about PC.

An Rtx 4070 is 500 to 600 by itself I highly doubt they can match performance to cost with that even the amd gpus are still going to be 500 . At the most an Rtx 4060 ti which is around 399
@@brichardson342yes agreed it’s not going to match a standard 4070 looking at benchmarks. 4070 circa +25% perf increase. And let’s not forget the Rtx advantages over anything AMD.
Correct, but only to make up for the closed design of the console, to get simply to similar performance you need a 4070, no way around it, and that is 600 dollar, so imagine the rest, under 1200 dollars you cannot make a pc... so PS5 pro is much better and cheaper option.
Tom from Moores law is dead, said it was close to a 7800xt when you account for newer architecture and Raytracing. He was the one who leaked the specs first also.
You can save even more by getting a RTX3060 as its performance is basically the same as the RTX4060, sometimes even slightly better. Storage wise you can save more by getting a Kingston 2TB SSD. A 1000W PSU isn't necessary at all for this build. You can save even more by getting a 650W/750W PSU (Gold) The money saved can get you a 1080p monitor, a cheap mechanical keyboard such as Aula and a cheap gaming mouse with at least 4800dpi and 1000hz polling rate + mouse pad and also a WiFi adapter if the motherboard do not have one already. An unactivated Windows 10 OS is basically free to download. There you go. You can save even more on heavily discounted PC games which is available like every now and then. It's good for the cost, but having a cpu similar to the ryzen 3600x which was mid tier in 2019 is crazy. I assume they just had a lot of that hardware laying around. I better CPU would of done it so much more, but I bet they are saving that for the ps6.

If the price point is the consideration of the comparison between PC and PS5 PRO then the $700 price point of PS5 PRO should also consider these factors: PS5 PRO comes with (on the box): - 1 dual Sense controller - two horizontal stand feet - HDMI cable - AC power cord - Astro's Playroom game preinstalled - And latest PlayStation OS on the box (with regular OS Update) If we consider these things on PC (+$191.99) - OS for Windows 11 (+$129.99) - Gaming Keyboard and Mouse (+$40) - Hdmi cable (+$7) - random game action-platformer game (+$15) Total PC Cost = $867 + $191.99 = 1058.99 PC Build($1058.99) - PS5 pro($700) = $358.99 (Difference cost)

Though, the platform isn't without its problems, no two machines are built or age the same way, even prebuilt Rigs from Corsair, Dell, HP and the many enthusiast third-parties, hiccups and challenges unique to the platform are unavoidable, in ways the tried and true console gaming platforms are not, It all depends on just how into your games you want to be.

The 4060? It does not run games at 4k or 1440p at 60+ frames. To do what the PS5 pro can do, you would need a 4070. Plus, the base PS5 has more than 8 gigs of VRAM. do pick parts to fit the narrative pick the part to have parity

Mushkin d8 tempest 2 tb nvme R1900. Case doesnt even matter since your parts just need to fit and any modern case is basically the same thing. Montech x3 tempered glass case R949. Peripherals dont matter as they start from R20 or 1 dollar for cheap stuff. Windows diesnt matter since noone pays for that. Wifi adaptor R150. With the leftover money I can afford a rx 7900gre or 4070 super for R12000. So sorry the ps5 pro is an overpriced gimmick. And dont scream cpu bottleneck. Pc is sill missing something that I notice when comparing it to the ps5. It is called optimization. I have found that I do a lot of tweaking on pc instead of playing the game. I get the settings good and then in a boss fight the game lags or crashes sometimes. By the time I back off settings the game looks about like the console version. When using a controller it seems to work better on console where it is optimized. I just read reviews that the controller does not work well with Horizon remaster on pc. As usual windows 11 is full of bugs and can be a head ache. Most people are better off with a console.

4060 hahaha wtf are you talking about dude a 4060 have 18 teraflops. The ps5 pro will have 36.1 teraflops. Look at digital foundry, they say is more like a rx 7800 or a 4070. The 4070 is only 29 teraflops. A 4070 TI have 44 teraflops. So it's like a 4070 super with 35 teraflops.
The sad part of these types of videos is that this PC is likely gonna struggle keeping up with the base PS5, so the prospect of it equaling the PS5 pro is staggeringly low. To better explain why you have to first understand the hardware of the base PS5. The base PS5 has 16gbs of gddr6x for memory. Of this 16gbs of memory, 12gbs are available for use in games. So a 4060 and its 8gbs of VRAM isn't gonna cut it...the base PS5 is already extremely competitive with the 4060 in most benchmarks and the 4060 often doesn't take the lead until you get into lower settings where you can use DLSS to get higher framerates, but then you are likely talking a 1080 vs 1440p output resolution. Now factor that the PS5 pro has a 28% boost to VRAM speed (according to the inforgraphic shown by Sony during thier PS5 pro reveal) and you end up with not only more available VRAM, a better I/O (dedicated) system to access that VRAM, and Sony boosted the processor clock speed by 45%. It makes the 4060 a bad pick for a PS5 pro competitor. The problem with trying to make these PS5 pro PC builds is that because sony can effectively make custom parts for all thier system components, there isn't technically a card that can be seen as a 1 to 1 comparison. This is due to the fact that while the 4060 may be too memory starved to compete with the Pro, the 4070 will still likely have faster processing, even with the 45% boost to the base PS5 rendering speed that is in the PS5 pro. This is what lead to DF concluding that a cut down 4070 might be the best or nearest neighbor to what the PS5 pro offers in terms of processing, because it lines up everywhere else with 64 compute units (relative the the estimated 60 of the PS5 pro) and it has the same 12gbs of VRAM. This should put the 4070 out in front of PS5 pro but not by much. Now factor that the 4070 is 550.00 - 600.00 and your cost is already growing over what the PS5 pro is at 700.00. The reason these video types of videos are so pointless to make is because you will always be making compromises somewhere to get the price down to being in the ballpark of the a billion dollar companies primary platform where they can get access to hardware at a significantly cheaper cost than a normal consumer could at retail. The concessions don't just stop at the GPU though. The base PS5 is an 8 core 16 thread unit, yet the video recommends a 6 core 16 thread CPU, which means that in any multicore processing game this CPU is gonna struggle to keep up with the PS5 hardware. This build also uses a motherboard that lacks the PCIE features of a PS5 pro as you will not have access to things like wifi 7 (which might be considered a nice to have but not necessary but still points out that you are missing features available in the 700.00 console). Lastly is your power demand or PSU....while this PSU works great for a 4060 build it is underpowered for a 4070 PC build. All these factors taken into account it speaks to why the PS5 pro exist..and this is not to say that the PC listed here is bad its actually a very solid 1080p 4060 build....the PS5 pro however is for people who want a better experience than the base PS5 offers but don't want to spend the 1100.00 - 1200.00 price tag to get it on PC. The tech in the PS5 pro is intended to justify the price but more importantly it is intended to be a good midpoint between affordable mid tier of gaming and costly high tier of gaming because it is important to note that even if you decide to go with the 1200.00 PC (and to be fair, a decently built 4070 PC will be slightly better than PS5 pro on paper specs at least) that PC will require some level of upgrade as the 50 series rolls around and a PS6 looms on the horizon. This is the way hardware has always worked and while the sticker shock of a 700.00 console is definitely a valid concern understand that as with all upgrades to hardware....it is not mandatory for you to upgrade if you are happy with what you currently have. These types videos and the current commentary about the PS5 pro are attempting to try and undersell the value of console while overpromising on the value of PC hardware and it is a recipe for disaster becauseit sets people up to be wrong about what the console can do and what they are getting into when they buy a PC. My recommendation is if you are on the fence at all on PS5 pro don't get one at launch, wait until benchmarks come out and the hardware is in people hands and they can properly compare it to equivalent hardware and then do your research on what hardware you would need to be better or on par with the PS5 pro before making a decision. Right now we see a number of PC fanboys and people who generally dislike PS trying deseperately to capitalize on the angst this 700.00 price tag has caused and the scramble to get 700.00 or close to 700.00 PC builds out there has been all too funny for anyone who knows tech because we see so many either underpowered or missing key components builds that it makes PC gamers look foolish. There are very few people who are being 💯 about the PS5 pro and unfortunately those that are being genuine are immediately labeled as PS fanboys because they didn't just go with the online bandwagon to hate the price.
@@COYG94 Still less than the 12gbs available for games in a base PS5. And slower than what is projected for the PS5 pro, I didn't even mention the 67% boost in compute units from the base PS5 which is why the 4060ti doesn't fit the bill either.....all of which do not change the overall conclusion that the 4060 is a bad matchup for the PS5 pro...but thanks for the correction. I fixed it

$867 to build the PC........IF YOU ARE COMFORTABLE BUILDING IT YOURSELF. For most people who aren't comfortable building a PC like that (remember there's obviously software upgrades that aren't even mentioned here including an OS and BIOS settings), they'll likely want someone else to do it for them. Micro Center builds PCs for around $150. Best Buy says that they'd install Hardware (obviously purchased from the store) for $40; but I don't know if that counts for building an entire PC from scratch. Bottom line is that there are obviously extra costs to consider when building a comparable PC beyond just the components. Outside of getting such components either used or discounted in some other form, you'll never be able to compare getting such a system to the OUT OF THE BOX price as the PS5 Pro.

This just sounds like you've had bad or lackluster experiences with Pc gaming and not an actual detriment to the platform as a whole?
True. Pc just has many pros and cons. Depends on what matters to you the most. But pc fanboys will never admit the cons sadly.
Thank you

then the $700 price point of PS5 PRO should also consider these factors:
PS5 PRO comes with (on the box):
- 1 dual Sense controller
- two horizontal stand feet
- HDMI cable
- AC power cord
- Astro's Playroom game preinstalled
- And latest PlayStation OS on the box (with regular OS Update)

Though, the platform isn't without its problems, no two machines are built or age the same way, even prebuilt Rigs from Corsair, Dell, HP and the many enthusiast third-parties, hiccups and challenges unique to the platform are unavoidable, in ways the tried and true console gaming platforms are not, It all depends on just how into your games you want to be.

Why have you not included the stand for the ps5 pro and playstation plus 1000w psu bit overkill unless you gonna upgrade to a Rtx 4090
4060 has 8gb vram not 6

Still less than the 12gbs available for games in a base PS5. I fixed it
no one's reading that essay

TLDR version a 4060 isn't gonna compete with a PS5 pro. You'll need a 4070 to compete and your end price will be closer to 1200.00. This whole "buy a PC instead of PS5 pro" are fanboys who are underselling the PS5 pro and overselling PC. Even at 1200.00 you will still need to upgrade again soon with the 50 series and PS6 around the corner.
@@corey_massey you don't need to upgrade from RTX 40 to RTX 50
What are you lot smoking? A CPU with 2 less cores and a GPU of a completely different architecture and sizing? Just lazy
That’s why it’s best to have a pc for pc games and a console for exclusives. I have 1 of every console even the damn Xbox series x that I regret not one good game has been released on Xbox as an exclusive what a joke.
I have a question can you put more storage in to your ps5 pro im just asking thats all🤔
Yes you can
You can up to 8TB.
Ps5 pro is a beast
The PS5 pro is pumping out around rtx 4070 levels of performance clearly...

He 'did it' as a PC fanboy... Without including a controller (console gamers love those haptics etc), with only 1TB of SSD not 2, a seriously downgraded graphics card, no WiFI 7 and more.... It wasn't even close.

4070 is 35 and ps5 pro is 34 or 33.

Got to count windows and mouse and keyboard at least the same value as the PS5 controller to be a fair comparison. Used and TEMU parts don’t count 🤣🤣🤣
@@bfhandsomeface409 Why would you willingly overspend on components?
4060? really?
Bottom line....spend the extra few hundred n get a pc...that is also upgradeable when u need and has ALOT more games.
What if you don't want to spend a few extra hundred, and you're on a budget, then you go with the PS5 Pro. PlayStation also has exclusives that may or may never go to PC that you want to play
Yeah and modding too..
@Macktube listen, when you buy a brand new console, you will surely buy a brand new game as well. So might as well buy a pc for a "few extra" and get cheaper or free games if you choose to pirate. And if you will total the amount of money you will spend on a console and pc, you will realize that you are actually spending more money on a console than a pc in the long run.
No thanks. I use my PC for browsing the internet and Sim games. I use the gaming console for gaming, thank you very much.
I have a pc I just recently upgraded it to 32 GB ram, 1TB storage, rtx 4050 8GB, Along with a modified cooler, and got around a very good 60 fps on Wukong on High graphics.... so yeah
So in a nutshell, a PS5 is a better value and let's maintenance. Also, you get exclusive Playstation games that may or may never come to the PC.
Go with the PS5 pro. If you're debating between the two
yes my point exactly consoles are much better in value and last longer with a pc your spending money all the time
Playing all the PlayStation games I own on pc makes me laugh at this. Literally playing GOW and FF16 this week at 4k 120. And what is this maintenance you speak of. Am I supposed to change the oil in my pc?😂 way more sales on steam and I guess your gonna just skip over pc exclusives that you can’t play. I hope you get paid by Sony to look this stupid.
just stop
You know you're a pony boy channel when you start your video off with, Sony selling the ps5 like hotcakes with no signs of slowing down despite the facts that show it's not selling like hotcakes and has been declining actually. 😂 Such ponies.... Ignoring facts as always
🤣 You can build a similar unit to the pro for waaaaay cheaper with both brand new or used components. The Pro in the U.K is £700 which is $930
No you cant

Even my four-year-old second PC would laugh at a PS5 Pro.
