Because you come off as a strong leader, they know that and unless people know how to handle them firmly and confidently like you, they can be dangerous, but not you they would never turn on you because I can see they treat you as their leader you're amazing❤❤❤

Shaki has changed a bit since the Baby has arrived. She is much more active and constantly aware of what’s going on around her. She and the Baby have a strong bond and very happy.

it's amazing how they have respect for the family dinner table. I think they learn that in the wild they eat according to I don't know, seniority in their tribe and to see the way they're sitting at your dinner table. The fact that they respect family dinner time is amazing.

Actually Janet, that look is an aggressive look that monkeys do in the wild. It looks really funny but it’s meant to warn off someone, human or fellow monkey that’s lower in hierarchy. Both JK and Shaki were doing it at the beginning of the video and I think it was to one of Jamils relatives. They might have been doing something that wasn’t part of the normal routine near the dinner table, off camera. That facial expression and the fear grimace are two of the most misunderstood expressions. People think the fear grimace is a smile and that the monkey is happy that what’s happening is ok. I do not know what they call that ‘gaping mouth’ facial expression. I do laugh when I see a monkey do it but since I learned that it’s not a good thing, I just giggle to myself. 😁 There was a video not long ago where they were getting ready for bed and Jamil had scolded Shaki for biting and chewing her diaper. While Jamil was scolding her, JK was doing that ‘gaping mouth’ expression to her and Jamil caught it and immediately started petting JK to tell him ‘It’s OK, no worries’ because it’s meant to put a lower hierarchy monkey in its place. But Shaki is not lower, she’s JKs Queen so he shouldn’t be doing that!🤣😂 But after Jamil calmed JK down, Shaki threw her leg out to JK and he started grooming her!!!!! It was really a cute part of the video. I wish I knew the name of it. I’m going to look for it and tell you the name and edit this post. P.S. That video is from a year ago, took me a while to find it! It’s called ‘Change Jk and Shaki diapers’ and it’s from a year ago. But you’ll see JK giving Shaki that look as Jamils scolding her and Jamil rubbing JK to calm him down.
Jammil, I cannot stop complimenting how great you are for Jk, Shaki and Shakina. You didnt release them at temples when they became adults. They are beautiful monkeys
You are such a great Grandpa, Jamil! In the beginning, Shaki didn't want to eat without Shakina. I am SO glad she is used to the "routine" now- and she knows she will get Shakina back as soon as she's finished eating. Also, I think it's important to teach Shakina that she doesn't come first, in the monkey world! I love how you know this! I'm sure lots of people may think it's sad to leave her in the crate, but it's imperative she learn that adult monkeys and their food come first. Show this to all of the doubters who say that the adult monkeys are unwanted and let go back into the woods to fend for themselves. It appears that the adult monkeys respect the man and view him as the alpha male in their group. It is very unusual that people would be willing to dedicate this amount of care and personal time for these pets. Very commendable. I hope and wish for the success and happiness of this family.
Love the way JK and Shaki eat off each others plates. Shakina could eat some of food they eat. Shakina sure likes Jamail fun to watch her play with him and snuggle on his shoulder. Shaki dress is so cute it is so hard for her to walk with her big bottom. Hugs to you all.
Jk has real table manners like a proper gentleman , he is not greedy at all bless him. He just tells you when he wants snacks . Shaki well I just laugh how she sneaks food before you are ready 🙈🤣🤣🙊 mind you she is catching up with eating as she too concerned over the baby .
