Drew Carey is good but no one could EVER replace Bob! Bob was a legend in his own right and no one would ever be as good as him.
Drew reluctantly is now the King of the Price throne. Part of him doesn't want it. He was its Regent when Bob retired. Now the King with his recent passing.

There is NO game show intro like the Price is Right. There is a reason why no matter what changes, the intro remains intact, even now.

season 34 and 35 Rich Fields was the announcer and i think Rod passed about season 32 i believe .

I just found out that Season 29 actually premiered October 2, 2000, if you were talking about October 2, 2002 this would be during Season 31, and I did some research here on the internet and found a recap of the Season 29 premiere

Today's TPIR set has way to much color on it. The three doors and turnable should be in color but the background should be black like in the Bob Barker days.

J.R. White I’m assume you’re referring to Rod Roddy? Yes, Rod was gay. As for current announcer, George Gray, he’s not gay. I like George, but he doesn’t have that announcer gravitas and flair that Rod use to have.

Yes, you're right. And Rod Roddy died on October 27, 2003. Rich Fields took over near the end of season 32.

Every time Bob came out, I think what he said that we couldn't often hear was "I thank you so much" before bowing, is that right?
He did it from the start. It even happened in 2015 when he did Lucky Seven with a contestant.

Growing up watching The Price Is Right with my grandmother since 1992 and I continued watching the show when I was in high school and even DVR the show. I just started college when Bob Barker he hosted the show for the last year in 2006. Drew is alright, but I miss those Bob Barker antics getting the contestants pepped up and ready when they are about to win.
