“Ser” and “ir” are conjugated the same in the preterite tense because Vulgar Latin was not spoken so well, so it was decided that Spanish would ignore the preterite tense of the Latin verb “ire” and make the whole preterite tense of “ser” also apply to “ir” probably because “ser” might be thought of as a vital verb. (Portuguese did the same thing.) Besides, the verb “ir” doesn’t have an actual stem.
Quiero tratar de preguntarte en español la pregunta que tengo. Si no está bien usar "era muy grosero," en conversaciones normal. Está bien usar esa frase en una historia o algo así, ya que el estaba siendo un grosero, quiero dar una razón por qué ya no se hablan
¡Sí! ¡Muy bien! "Era" es como "memory land", lo usamos para describir a una persona en el pasado. Son características que tuvieron durante mucho tiempo. Tu ejemplo es correcto.
