A Mexican here, notice that many slang words used in this video come from the center areas of Mexico, at north and at south we use different slang words and it even varies from a particular group of friends or collegues to another. Don't use them freely at work with not-friends collegaues, clients, superiors, or with elders: they all deserve be adressed with respect; even with close friends they are not all the same: some will let you call them "guey" (euphemism for "buey" a word that refers to a considered dumb animal) and some not. Even some slang words like "guey" or "pex/pedo" are considered scatological, denigrating or even insulting (you don't call "mule" at ever one or your friends or always use the word "fart" for everything). Also the use of it shows the lack of a more vast vocabulary by not using the appropiate terms (like "amigo", "primo", "compañero" all of them change it to "guey"). For some tourist saying them at a bar or a vacation trip is funny, but if you're trying to speak spanish more ellocuently for business or social acceptance is best not to use it even if you hear it.

This was great, so glad I found your yt videos. I'm born and raised in California, and I do speak Spanish, but some slang here was new to me. One thing I think is funny is where some of these words come from. That is, they're swear words that have been cleaned up, sort of like "pex," like "chin," and "no manches." Also, I crack up when listening to Mexican men. Every other word towards their friends is "guey." It's every Mexican guy's nich name. lol

This is how I speak Spanish one semester in7th grade of Spanish and then it was all por El oido. I had a lot of Mexican friends and at their homes I'd get interested in the musica y television I was a telenovelera kinda so I'd ask and just watch Spanish language TV and music. So I have this Honduran friend and me llame la Mexicana. No I'm native American. I really wanted to learn Italian and that's not offered at many American highschool and it middle schools for an elective. But I was told Spanish is very similar and if I learned Spanish I can easily learn Italian Portuguese and French. I can speak a bit of all now...but I ended up being fluent en Mexican .😅😅 No manches

It's not going to happen. If you check all of her videos, people have been making the same request all along, but she has never complied. My guess is that she can't speak English, but is reading from a screen and has to go fast in order to sound as if she can. It's a shame too, because she teaches real Mexican Spanish that everyday native speaker use. Not the textbook stuff. The only solution is to pause her videos and take notes every few seconds. But most people watching YT vids aren't going to do that.

@@FredGSanford-xu3lfShe speaks English very well for someone who’s supposedly just reading it from a script. What a completely baseless statement. Do you really think she would go through the effort of learning to sight read the language with perhaps the least consistent writing system and not bother to learn what any of it means? She speaks fluidly and swaps effortlessly between English and Spanish within the same sentence. And although she has an accent her English is pretty much flawless from what I can tell.
