"Do you ever break the back window in the truck?" LOL
No, no he has not. Ever! He's a pro tosser
Yup!
That says a lot for your integrity, when people leave you their garage code. What a relationship. Nice of you to stack for him, that is called service. Great job.
Thanks!
The big question is have you ever hit the back window of your truck by tossing wood into it? The answer is no,no, no! Unless you are careless and lack common sense! Thanks for the videos Chris, you have been a big inspiration to me about not only just working hard but being responsible and dedicated and truly caring about your friends and customers and also loving what you do which is so important, even if it happens to be firewood. I wish there were more people in the world like you, you are a great human being and please keep doing what you’re doing!
Thanks for the kinds words Wade...that's a lot to live up to...I will do my best.
@ You already are sir, I’m just trying to do the same for myself and always trying my best to be better than I already am, there is always room for improvement as they say!
Honesty is the best policy and it always pays to be nice!!!! You are setting a good example for the rest of us!!!!
Thanks!!!
Chris you are going to break your back window!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have followed your lead on the no stacking I used to stack 70 full cords and now I pile like you do. Saved lots of hours this year for other things like cutting and splitting. Happy Thanksgiving.
Thanks!
Hey Chris, I always watch like and share, but rarely comment. The story you told about building relationships with customers really resonated with me. I have that kind of relationship with the people that I work for. Most of them for forty plus years. It was nice to hear a story about customer trust and appreciation. Thanks
Thanks so much for watching!
I have many customers like yours now as well. You are correct though. It takes time to build those relationships.
Yes they do...good to hear!
Love dem Woodcats
Yup, lots of them!
This is so true. We’ve only been doing this for a couple of years but the repeat customers are coming and starting to have a great relationship with them.
Yup, good people find each other and so do the turds!
That's why I won't start a channel! I couldn't handle the nut jobs! Keep posting!
There are a few! The vast majority are awesome!
I learn SO much from you. And I can't tell you how much I appreciate your videos. #1 high quality product #2 excellent customer service. The rest is trivial 🤠👍 Thanks again, Chris!!!
What Sam said. !! ☝🏻.
Keep INSPYERing the world fellas you both are amazing examples of what the human should strive for. Thank you both. Never stop 🧬🦾🎯
Wow, thank you so much!
Thanks, I will try ....but gravity will win some day.
With my little 5x8 dumper, I’ve found that I have to stack a row against the tailgate and pile the wood in to the point that it’s 50-55% bigger mass than if it was stacked. That’s with 1/2 cord. I know because my customers want it stacked and then I pull out a tape measure to check it. I can barely fit the 1/2 cord in my 5x8 with the total side and front height at 33”. It ends up over 100 cubic feet thrown in.
And BTW, I now make bins and have an Ultra💪
Awesome, keep cuttin'!
I see your supervisor showed up lol I love cat 😊
I just started feeding the neborhood cats. I used to look at them as obstacles in my yard spent many hours trying to keep them out do to the dogs and gardens etc. it’s much easier to work with the cats, they keep the rodents away and stay away from the dogs for the most part. They are really growing on me. I see why Ancient ppls worshipped them. The watchers.!!
Yup, they are always there!
You’re a good guy. Hope the toe heals quickly.
Thanks!!!
Got to watch out for that back window. LOL
Yup...that is it!
What a great guy you are! The wood stacked is looking like art work- we are all in this together - you are a GEM
Thanks...please tell my wife that! Haaa!
I've got ome customer in particular that likes to pay with PayPal or Venmo. She knows I'll bring good wood and is fine with payong me BEFORE i deliver the wood. And I deliver/stack when she's not there. It feels good to have that level of trust.
Yup, more like that are needed...but you have to earn them first!
Trust is earned and it’s an honor to be trusted. Great show, Chris, thanks.
Yup, thanks!
Chris you could teach a college business class. Using your firewood business as the model your customer service is top notch. Number 1 question," how many back windows have broken throw in firewood in the back of your truck?"
That’s funny !!
Thanks.... I am not much for the school learnin' I prefer life skills. Zero broke windows!
yur funny!
@@InTheWoodyard yes I know zero broke windows. That my guess at the most ask question.

Thanks Nick!
Great job!!!!
Thanks!!!
Thanks Chris,
I’ve learned a whole lot watching you👍
I’m on year 4. This year all repeat customers, so far. I’m sure I’ll get some new ones too as the weather finally cooled down.
I learned to pile the wood as I split from you.
All my customers PAY me to stack at their houses😅 it’s their money so whatever they wanna pay for 👍
Thank you for NOT breaking the truck glass- as usual.
Thanks for all you share.
Thanks for watching and being a woodman!
Great Customer Service!!!
Thanks!
Impressive service, right there! Good on ya mate! Cheers from HB NZ
Thanks!
You are the man Chris! Thanks for stacking that customers firewood. 👍
thanks!
Why why WHY can't these people believe you? You are the PROFESSOR of wood! My God I need a drink!!! 😢
Some times people can not be edgimacated!
Hey Chris. How many times have you broken your back window??😂 I wish I had the space and my stackin days would be over! Nice deliveries👍🏻👍🏻GNI
"Have you ever broke the back window of your truck chucking wood?"
Nope!
When people question your throw in the trailer measurement. It reminds me of a deli… go in and order up so much cheese, pepperoni or meat loaf These men/women behind the counter know from repeated orders how much and will get your order very close or exactly the amount you are asking for. It’s something else. You remind me of this each time people question your measurement. 💐
Yup, that is a great example....THANKS!!
Most asked question is…Chris have you ever broken your back glass with a piece of wood?
Love your vids.
Yup....nope!
You definitely know your business and have taught many how to save time. Thanks for the great info! Have a great day, Mike
Thanks Mike!
Always awesome content
Thanks!!!!
Have you ever broken your rear window tossing the wood in? NO never!😂😂🇺🇸
Yup...nope!
Im from south Louisiana and in my neck of the woods a Rick is half a cord.
I use to make racks for people with an uncle out of old drill stem. The product space was 8 foot long 6 foot tall...
Thanks for the info!
I’m still a stacker lol but I can load a full cord for delivery in under 10 min with the 1/2 cord pallets we use . Takes time to stack it on the pallets but it sure is fast to load the trailer . I’m thinking our times to handle a cord are very similar but I think your way is just a touch faster .
Firewood is work no matter how you do it!
Spot on anyway since you staggered the ends. Correct, you can simple math, no need to stack.
Thanks!
Yup in 55 years you never broke a back window. 👍🏻👍🏻. I just received my ultra. And omg I love it
Haaaa! Awesome!!!
Hi Chris yes you keep your customers happy good for you (Ty Ron The Back Window

The question: have you ever busted your truck’s back window.
The answer: NOPE
Yup...nope!
Morning Woodhounds! Life is good when everyone is Happy (customers and wives!). Have a great weekend!
You got that right!
Excellent business Chris. BUTT, some of us just cut our own, heat the place 99% with wood, and enjoy the process. And, I have to stack. It's efficient for multi years, pretty, and gives me the chance to step out to look and snort the stacks. O.C.D. Love your ( and Tony's ) tutorials. Always learning. JMNSHO
"snort the stacks" lol still funny even though I know what you mean!
Thanks for watching...keep cuttin'!
Have you Broke your window yet, or how many times have you broke your back window????
Good example of paying it forward! Thanks for including us on the stack session.
Yup....never...thanks!
Awesome video. “Have you ever broke your rear truck window while tossing in wood”?
Thanks, yup.....nope!
Yet here, in the UK, we buy firewood in 'tonne bags'. This causes confusion too - there isn't a tonne in there, and often the bags aren't even a cubic metre (which WOULD hold a tonne of water, 1000 litres, 1000 kilograms, one metric tonne). They are sometimes 90cmx90cmx90cm - 0.73 of a cubic metre, or even smaller sometimes. The one-cubic-metre of wood, loose stacked, might hold 300kg of wood, but will obviously depend on the density of the wood - seasoned willow or poplar will weigh a lot less than the same volume of oak.
I don't buy wood so I don't get confused!
Yup wood is different weights depending on species and dry or not.
😂 I love hearing you address this stuff. I don’t have as much feedback on my channel yet, but I’m a member of all the firewood Facebook groups, and all the same fellas show up there with their rocket surgery degrees.🥴
Yup, I was never much good at that rocket surgery stuff.
You always get asked if you've broken a window. Happen to me, good thing insurance paid for it. Good night, Irene.
Yup!
" How many times have you broken the back window of the pickup truck?"

Thanks for watching!
As you asked I am here to do my duty for you
The most question asked is have you ever broken a window throwing wood intp the back to the truck and the answer is no!
Yup....Thanks!!!
I sell bundles and recently started selling 1/4 cords. I stack into totes, and then stack two rows at the back of my truck😅 for delivery. I don’t have the number of sales as some,…which is probably why I don’t mind the double stacking. I also noticed that it makes it easier to access for unloading. You can blame Joe at Ohio Wood Burner for that, lol. Who knows,…maybe it’ll change as business grows.
Yup, less touching!
Have you ever broken your rear window in your truck 😂
Tony from England
Nope. Neither has his brother Kenny in all their years of making firewood.
Yup, nope!
My vote of "most asked question" to Chris after wood chucking videos is:
"How many times have you broken the truck's back window?"
Cheers, Chuck in Jensen Beach, Florida.
Yup!!! Thanks!
There's a lady that lives above 25 miles from me that always makes me chicken and dumplings or pot pie when I bring her firewood. She even makes dog jerky for my 3 brats
Nice customer!
Yes she is. I always give her a discount
Never broke the window!
Yup!
The most asked question, how often do you break the back window of your truck. The answer, of course, never.
Yup!!!
Zero broken windows in over 50 years
Yup!!!!
Neighbor I buy hay from broke my back window last week putting a hay bale in. 0 deductible and the glass guy cleaned the interior when done. I'm thinking I need to break a window every few months now 😂
Ha!!! Nice!
I stack for every customer. Rarely do they say "Just throw it on the ground" after I get it stacked they hand me $200 per face cord, rink, rick, row, and a lot of times a $20 tip. We have Hardwood, mostly Red & White Oak, out the wazoo here in Arkansas, but it is a lot of work. I have very little competition here. Mostly guys that cut a tree down for someone, saw it up, and split it. Then run an add for firewood.
I actually delivered a Face Cord for a couple on Christmas Eve. When I got there I saw a full Face Cord on the porch. I remarked "Y'all must burn a lot of wood" He said yeah but not green wood. I look at the wood and one log had a green leaf still attached. Now that is pitiful, but good for my business. I have never run an ad, and I have 370+ people in my ph for firewood.
Just wondering Chris...
Have you ever broke the back glass in your truck?

Thanks so much Grant....keep cuttin'!

Yup, that is it!
Hey Chris. I have put 2 scoops of dog food in the same dog bowl for 8 years. I don’t need the scoop anymore. I just know it’s 2 scoops cause I know what the bowl looks like with 2 scoops. Same concept with the wood in your trailers and truck. You just know.
Yup....EXACTLY!!!!
I have had a couple of customers over the years who could have stacked the whole trailer load in just 1 rack over a 10 day period! No maple syrup for them...🙄 I just refer them to you now!👍
Haaaaaaa!
good luck hunting this weekend
Thanks, we had fun as always!
@ did you ever get more vices made?
Sorry that you finally broke your back window.
Good comment joke lol!
Haaaaa!!!!
Hey Chris, sorry that this is out of the subject of this video in particular, but can you recommend brands of moisture meters? Because they are not popular in my country and I have to ship this from the US.
Thank you for your content as always!

The question most asked is " Have you ever broken a back window on your truck"? and the answer is NO!!!!
Yup....nope!
It's not guessing when you know how many cubic feet the trailer holds, but it is guessing if you can't do basic math like half the guys in my area.
Yup, math scares people!
ANSWER!!! You have never broken the back window of your truck haha.
Yup...nope!

The way you throw firewood in your truck; I'm suprised you don't blow out the back window, windshield, door windows, rear view mirror, headlights, outside mirrors, taillights, what did I miss? LOL!
Yup, that is it....you forgot EXPLODING TRUCK!
Hey you ever break that back window tossing wood in it ✌️✌️👍😏
Yup!
No You have never broken a rear window of a truck
yup!
I like every single stage of firewood from felling the tree to sitting by the hot stove on a cold day....except stacking firewood. Stacked a cord from my dump trailer tonight in the dark and drizzling rain. I just NEED to know at what point the trailer is loaded with a cord of wood.
Okay. Stack a measured pile and then throw it in the trailer and you will now how much you need to toss in.......
@@InTheWoodyard That's the easy way! I eyeballed last nights load and came up 3 arm loads short when I stacked it. Not bad for a full cord guess! ( I still hate stacking firewood.)
Answer is: how do you know how much wood you have in the truck or trailer after throwing it in from a non stacked pile.
If the new people that are starting to sell wood and do what you say, take a picture of the loaded truck or trailer and use that for reference until they are comfortable with what they throw in. They will know they have the right amount. 👋👋👍🏻👍🏻
That is number 2 but very close to number one.
Preach it, my friend! Stacking in French means it sucks😂👍🇺🇸
Haaa! I will be using that one!!!
