What a great and eclectic band! I used to listen to them a lot in the early 90's and have just rediscovered them through youtube. Their combination of tight drumming, synched electronic instruments and live improvisation is very inspirational to see. The flute playing is a nice touch. The strings are great too!!!
You don't need to do any drugs to understand this if your a musician. It is absolutly mastering. I am as straight as any cop you see on the street and I love Ozric, best band in existance!
That is a trip. Yea we got to hang out with them a little bit. We played a game of Fuzzball with them. Real cool dudes, got to love the English Accents. You can tell they have been around for a while. Some people just don't know what they are missing.
exactly it is music of this quality that gives you such an experience that drugs are simply optional. i have listened to the music sober and under various influences, it doesn't matter it's simply great stuff
They were great at the Rollright fest' in Oxford back in 1986. They had some wacked out 9 year old kid on the drums!! He, and them, were amazing. The little toot of opium was rather interesting too! : )
The guitar riff at the beginning gives me instant goose bumps... every fucking single time!!! It stimulates a point in my mind that I didn't know it existed, kind of an "OT point" :)
from what i've been listening up till now, it's most out of the ordinary...a verry precise music, no mistakes, it really exercises the mind gymnastics...and of course it's progressive rock:)
sell out crowd. wow! I saw these guys a couple of years ago in america with a crowd of about 50. It was cool, but I could not figure out why there wasn't more people there. these guys are awsome!!
well wat can u say to tht other than Wow, bravo and my god i wish i was there! lol does anyone kno wen and where i could see these guys live???????????????????????????????????
@kylep2 Interesting that you make the comparison, I'm a big Rush fan since 1975 - and recently (2007) became an Ozrics fan. Other than a lot of reverb, i'm not sure what connects the two bands...!
@Semente200 Apparently it had to do with someone who was still in the band as of this point, according to Jon Egan. It's not Ed, so that doesn't leave a whole lot of other people.
I've noticed I prefer most of their live stuff over studio. Case and point being "The Throbbe" The Pongmaster's ball version is 20x better than the studio versions. I didn't like the studio versions at all, but the live version's amazing.
it's cuz no one knows about em....also I was kinda bummed one time they missed their scheduled tour date in my town. Another time actually saw a show it was mostly great until the flute player lost his flute and starting going nuts and actually ran into the audience started screaming at people thought someone stole it but really he just lost it

I don't need a thing to get this. Best music out there by far. I could listen to the Tentacles all day.

I'm 90% sure I was at this gig. A friend traveled 160 mile to see them and got me a ticket. I had never heard of them. Blew me away. Excellent band.
Awesome

Uff, uno reyes de la psicodelia inglesa y por qué no decirlo, del spacerock. Gracias por el aporte.
Boy I like that. No words clutter.....
Definitivamente soy un nuevo fan de esta banda! WOW!
Stuart "Schoo" Fisher is the most underrated drummer. I can't understand why he isn't a part of lineup anymore.

The flute player is pretty handy with a snooker cue too!!

Hi Ed, I did not die. All my Cd's got stolen in France, where else. I miss them
Great music! It reminds me to the music of Colorstar. Probably O.T. inspired their music!

I could be wrong, but I think it's because it's from their live DVD "Live at the Pongmaster's Ball =p
@thoughtm Shpongled? First shpongle album released on 1998.. Ozric is on that way since Erpsongs (1984).. Little respect please..
