If you can find it, anybody interested should look for the 1991 released 3cd box set " living proof the MGM recordings '63-'75 " there's a good number of hank jr recording that were otherwise unreleased and many people haven't heard them. Maybe the 3 part album has been uploaded to RUclips, but if it is make sure all 82 tracks are there.
well yeah he still sang that lol, its just that microphones back then were big and bulky and werent very home like so they lip synced it when they were on air
The first Hank Jr-song I had heard was Country Boy will survive. This song an the music of Charlie Daniels Band brought me to Countrymusic! Trucky.
Finding little gems like this truly makes RUclips enjoyable. Thanks for posting.

This performance was the year I graduated from high school. 50 yrs ago. Still love it!!
I believe Bocephus has the strongest voice in the industry. Great singer, songwriter, hunter and fishman. God bless Hank Jr.

He's an old looking 21 here .....
Every clip I've seen of Bocephus on Hee-Haw from this era is lip synced. I wonder why he wasn't singing live?
Because that was the way everyone did it back then. All of the earlier Hee Haw and other television shows were not sung live
That was the norm for Hee Haw during this time period. Lip sync.
well yeah he still sang that lol, its just that microphones back then were big and bulky and werent very home like so they lip synced it when they were on air
@mebatz47 yes it was a recording of his voice singing...But not live...that's the way it was for all the singers back then
yeah hee haw liked going for a very home like feel to it and a big old clunky 1970s microphone wouldnt fit good lol
