- The Golden Retriever is a large-sized breed of dog bred as gun dogs to retrieve shot waterfowl such as ducks and upland game birds during hunting and shooting parties, and were named 'retriever' because of their ability to retrieve shot game undamaged. Golden Retrievers have an instinctive love of water, and are easy to train to basic or advanced obedience standards. They are a long-coated breed, with a dense inner coat that provides them with adequate warmth in the outdoors, and an outer coat that lies flat against their bodies and repels water. Golden Retrievers are well suited to residency in suburban or country environments. Although they need substantial outdoor exercise, they should be housed in a fenced area because of their instinctual tendency to roam.They shed copiously, particularly at the change of seasons, and require fairly regular grooming. -

The white cream ones don't seem as intelligent to me. I worked at 2 dog daycares over 8 years, the white cream ones were always kinda dumb. beautiful though.
My English cream is the smartest golden I’ve ever met. She can learn a trick within an hour and knows exactly what we are saying. If doesn’t have the do with the coat though, it’s the lines they are bred with. It is more common for English creams to be more aloof but they aren’t dumb.

It was intended to show how all of us who are parents to Golden Retrievers think our dogs' shit doesn't stink. However, you're right, it was pointless. Because we already know their shit doesn't stink and who else is there but us who would even watch this video?

Idk, this may be true for some trained young healthy working dogs but I would put a disclaimer and not try this at home.

Not all dogs love water is true.. although Golden Retriever has a double coat wich makes them "water proof " pay attention
I adore this breed, but they face so many serious health issues.. I'll always have one though, bar none.
This is lame excuse of not letting happiness enter your life. Good breeders have hyp and elbow screened and certificates to support that. Choose wisely and you will have guarantee of a lifetime happiness and health. What if I tell you my BP normalised largely after Poppins (2 yrs.. Old GR) came into our life

The one I get in 2 weeks has been screened for hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, epilepsyand other diseases. Good breeders will test for all of that.
Best Dogs ever... let me say this , Goldens require brushing every day or two..or they will shed by themselves everyday all over the house.. so if you don't want to deal with hair, then don't buy a Golden ,then shave them when they shed everywhere...
Like I said Goldens are the best dogs ever..but you can't be lazy ! They have needs..
